I had always been very impressed with Kyle Bryant, until today. I am still in shock. We very rarely board our dogs - theyre a breed that easily stresses in that kind of environment. However Dr. Bryant and his team are very familiar with my dogs, and I had no choice but to board my male while I went out of state for a family situation. We called every day to check on him, all positive responses. I get back in town, pick him up, and when we got home he went into the yard where he urinated 5 times, over 60 seconds each time. He defecated twice. I called and spoke with a receptionist at Lonestar, admittedly quite upset, and asked for the office manager to call me back and also I wanted to see his charts of times of urination, etc. Today, the "office manager" Amanda Bryant left me a rude voice message. I called back, held for at least 5 minutes when Dr. Bryant himself picked up the phone. I apparently "tore" into his employee ( I actually thanked her at the end of the call for her patience and professionalism), and he asked me to find somewhere else to board in the future. I replied that I repeatedly asked to be called if there was any problem with my dog, and that he is my responsibility, and I would drive back to pick my dog up if so. NO ONE REPORTED ANY PROBLEM TO ME. Dr. Bryant kept saying "Im sorry for what youre going through, but" and I finally asked what he was talking about. He said hed been handed a message that my father had died. My father is NOT dead! He continued to defend his staff however, never offered any apologies, actually said nothing about the erroneous message hed been given about my father, never apologized for that either, and said they could have all of my records for my FOUR pets under their care ready for me to pick up and to find another clinic. He also actually said "all of the girls" found me to be difficult. Again, shocked. I know all of their names and have always been courteous. When I told him I needed specifics of that comment in the event I owed anyone an apology, HE HAD NONE. All of this because I voiced concern about my dogs urination while being boarded there. My dogs receive exemplary treatment, from their diets, to training, etc. We are extremely responsible dog owners and expect the best for the premium money I spend on their medical care as well. I am so offended by what transpired today that I will never be back. Terrible customer service - and to drag my father into it, who has battled cancer for two years, is DISGUSTING. I picked up their records at the clinic, again, no one waiting to apologize or offer any service recovery to keep my business. Ive read many many posts on Yelp about this practice of theirs to tell people who simply ask questions to go away. Ive also read about some of their staff lying to cover up mistakes or arguing with customers. And I have also read about their "office manager" and her pitiful excuse for customer service. I experienced it first hand today. NEVER AGAIN. There should be an option for zero stars on Yelp - Dr. Bryant and Lonestar earned THAT rating today.

This is an updated review, I thought I had found a vet to take all of my pets to but I guess after today I was very wrong. My pet was turned away after my mother who took my dog waited for about 30 minutes in the waiting room, this was after speaking on the phone to Jessica, who I informed what time my mother would be there with my dog who is sick, I was told that this would be fine coming in as a walk in. I am VERY understanding and sympathetic that they had another emergency come in but, does my pet no longer matter? Also, to wait the amount of time while others who walked in were seen and then to encounter, Jessica who starts to babel like a drunken monkey and so called "Office Manager" who obviously doesnt care? I have NEVER met a practice that turns sick or injured pets away, my mother was more than willing to leave and come back to address my dogs situation but we were told that the doctor is not seeing anymore walk ins today. I am willing to look past the disorganized and moody front office staff at times to have kept coming here because hey, things happen. I was willing to wait a bit of time when attempting to do a simple task such as fill a prescription at the clinic HOWEVER, I am deeply disappointed and very offended by them turning my dog away, I will be taking my dog who is currently being seen at another vet as I type this and two cats elsewhere. I will give this place three stars only because of the treatment of my cat. OLD REVIEW: I have had a very positive experience here, with both my dog and cat. I first met with Dr. Bryant when taking my dog in just for a check up and to purchase flea meds, he was very nice and got down to the level of my dog who is normally uneasy with strangers, she soon warmed up to him and that was that. My cat is a different story, I was sad to say that the care of my cat happened by accident which ended up being a "good accident". I recently moved out to the area and was not sure where to take my cat to as he is about 7 years old and ended up being blocked. So after spending time and money at the ER vet out at Deerbrook and taking him to his old vet Downtown who helped him as well but since they are a tiny practice they can not provide overnight care so I called to see if LoneStar could possibly help with getting my cat to recover. Which is what they did, I was VERY worried about my cat and the staff and Dr. Bryant kept up with communication which was very nice, and after spending so much at the other vets I was very grateful that LoneStar is reasonably priced and seemed to care about his well being not just turning a profit. After calling around and visiting another vet in the area I had not had a good experience like the one I have had here. I look forward to continuing my business and relationship with Dr. Bryant and his awesome staff. They can be a little busy at times like with any vet, the courtesy and patience I was shown at the front desk was very nice.

My dog passed away and they could care less. Ive had some issues here, like them trying to give my dog the wrong heart worm prevention dose for his weight. But that was easily corrected before payment. Thank goodness I noticed. The receptionists said her "computer doesnt usually let them give the wrong dose." But this last visit is unforgivable. I brought my 14 year old cocker spaniel in because he was not eating or drinking and had been vomiting for 3 days. Just by a physical exam, Dr. Bryant was able to tell me that my dog had a heart murmur, congestive heart failure, was dehydrated and had fluid on his lungs. The heart murmur was confusing since we had brought up the heart murmur about a year ago when it was brought to our attention by another vet but Dr. Bryant said no heart murmur. Now he says between stage 3-4 heart murmur out of 5. My dog was prescribed medication to get the fluid off of his lungs, another to help with the flow of his heart, and a third medication, a diuretic. My dog also received an injection with fluids and nutrients. We take the poor old guy home and try to force feed him his pills inside small treats only for him to vomit them right back up since we were given NOTHING for nausea and that was one of the main reasons for the visit, explained to the tech and the doctor. I watched the tech type it in the notes after asking me how many days hed been vomiting. So hes throwing up everything thats supposed to be helping him. Puzzled after watching our little guy suffer 2 more days, without improvement we called Lone Star and left a voicemail after hours. No one called back. We ended up taking our dog to an emergency vet clinic that night where we were told the diuretic is basically a water pill. So I was given medication to get fluid out and put fluid on. It was counteractive and pointless to do so. And the emergency doctor really couldnt do it successfully. You cant put fluid on (for dehydration) and take it out (for his lungs) at the same time. We left emergency without our beloved pet of 14 years rather than putting him through anything else but feel like he wouldve had to do less suffering if we had known what we were giving him instead of shoving useless pills down his throat and contributing to the vomiting. To this day no one from Lone Star has even returned my call for help for my little guy from that day. Very careless if I could sum it up.
