I would give this hospital 10 stars if I could. I was referred to Sunburst Animal Hospital by a friend. At first I wasnt thrilled because the parking is so difficult. But upon meeting the staff who are absolutely warm and caring, then receiving my bill which was reasonable, the parking became a non-issue. We recently lost our beloved Keen, a miniature husky that we had for over 16 years. When Keens health started failing, they never pushed expensive procedures to extend life, they help us keep him as comfortable as possible. When it came time for Keen to leave us, I didnt want to have to do that horrible trip to the vet, so I called Sunburst and they told me about another wonderful place "Happy Endings" who would come to our home for Keens final moments. Within a week of Keens passing we received a wonderful, hand written and signed card from Sunburst giving their condolences. That was such a wonderful gesture! Then a week after that we received a card from Sunburst stating that a donation had been made in remembrance of Keen to the Pet Memorial program at the Phoenix Zoo! This hospital goes above and beyond while your pets are with you and even after they have gone. Such a fabulous place. I cant say enough!!! Thank you for your caring and compassion Sunburst Animal Hospital.

So disappointed. My precious cat was dying, I left 3 messages for the Dr to call me. I spent hundreds of dollars there and when I needed some confirmation of what I had to do(put my precious cat to sleep) I couldnt even get the Dr who took care of him to call back. So sad, no compassion. My precious cat has crossed over rainbow bridge over 2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive a sympathy card from them. My other cat was sick and the Dr refused to put her on thyroid medicine, cause she felt uncomfortable with the labs, though my cat was symptomatic. I (as a nurse) had to suggest doing a thyroid profile to verify her concerns and sure enough my cat has a hyperthyroid. I dont recommend this place, they took my money and that seemed to be all they wanted. When I asked for copies of the lab work it took almost 2 weeks before someone emailed them to me. I will never go back there. The Drs names were Dr Aaman and Dr Stevens they had no compassion.

This is a great vet office ! I have come to this office to see Dr. Stevens for the past 20 years for dogs that I have owned. I have also seen Dr. Porter the past year or so when Dr. Stevens was not available. She is very good also. This is a vet office with veterinarians that are very caring when it comes to pets. They do not push services or shots on your animals that they do not need. I like to do natural solutions for my dogs when I can (is not alwyas possible) and they are respectful of of those decsions. They are also a vet office that does not do surgery unless it is really necessary, something that is hard to find. Many places want to do what will make them money. I have moved far enough away from this vet office that I have to find another vet, which will be very hard. Just know that you will recieve loving care here for your animal at reasonable prices.

My mom recommended this animal hospital to us. She had used it with her animals and said she had an excellent experience. Our dog, Calvin, suddenly became paralyzed and we brought him into the clinic. Upon entering the front desk lady was very caring and professional and took care of us right away. She was concerned with our situation and got the doctor right away. The doctor, Jessica Reed, was amazing. She was friendly and professional and caring as well. We ended up having to put our dog to sleep. Even though it was the toughest decision we have ever made we felt very peaceful and good about our decision. We couldnt have had a better experience under the tough experience. We will definitely be bringing our future pets to this clinic.

Phoenix Towing

My dog needed a few stitches, I called and they told me to come right in and was out of there in 1 hr. By 3.00 pm the same day my dog eat them out, I called they told me to come on in now, this time they put in 8 staples and sent me on my way and at no charge. Well need less to say by 11.00 pm that same day my dog had now removed them again, this is all my fault because they told me to leave the cone on at all times, unfortunately I didnt follow there recommendations. My poor dog ended up having 4 procedures for 1 simple cut. Jennifer, Vanessa, Tonya and the doctors are so caring and truly affectionate for my dog Bella and they never made me feel stupid or passed judgment. You guys are the Best! Thanks

Wonderful clinic. I started using them just over a year ago when my boyfriend & I got a place near them. We had three cats, including one elderly and blind animal, and one young kitten who was found as a stray. Theyve been great working with us, and have very reasonable prices. When we had to have the older cat put down due to severe illness, they were very caring and sympathetic, and gave me enough time to say goodbye, while still keeping me from lingering and becoming maudlin. Everyone in this office seems devoted to animals, and you can tell it in their care. Theyre there to help, not to make money. I recommend them to everyone I know, and cant stop - theyre truly the best.

I adopted an older dog who was very sick and after visiting a vet who not only correctly diagnose the problems my dog had she also kept on pushing unnessary procedures and racking up the bills, i finally changed my vet to Dr. stevens at sunburst animals hospital. Dr. Stevens was wonderful! Hes very experienced and gave the correct treatment to my dog who is now feeling a lot better! I am so thank for to have found such a wonderful vet! He didnt recommend procedures which were unnessary and always called back quickly if i had any questions. This hospital is in my opion one of the best and i highly recommend it to anyone!

I have been taking my two Lhasa Apso to Dr. Stevens since 2004. He is kind, caring, answers your questions and gives you the best advice as if it were his own pet. He is a wonderful veterinarian. Most of the staff has been with him since I started going there. They are very nice, helpful and efficient, especially in a time of need as they go out of their way! The office is extremely clean! Yes, the parking is not the best but in the 12 1/2 years that I have been going there I have never had a problem getting into a parking spot! The office is about 20 minutes from where I live and worth every mile to go there!

I have been going to Sunburst for years, I dont even live in the area anymore but I still make the trek to take my animals there. I wouldnt take them anywhere else. Dr. Blackwell and Dr. Stevens are truly gifted with animals, they go the extra mile because they really care. I have always had great experiences there, they take the time to listen and explain things on my level. The staff is amazing as well, I have always received excellent service from the front desk receptionists and the veterinary technicians. I love Sunburst Animal Hospital!
