I was looking for a veterinary clinic that offered holistic approaches to veterinary care along with the usual medical offerings. Because of their proximity to me and good reviews online, I chose Stetson Hills Animal Hospital. At the time I made the appointment, we were away in our RV on the road, and our dog, whos had valley fever for a long time, seemed to be experiencing physical discomfort (which was her first notable sign in diagnosing the VF), and her recent titer to determine the level of the disease had increased rather than decreased. I was looking for a second opinion and perhaps an alternative or additional treatment to bring her titer down. They offered me an appointment at a very near date. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff in general. The vet tech was great, putting my nervous dog at ease with some tiny treats and soothing words and gestures. They did everything to calm her down—none of the usual "pick up the dog, put her on the table, stuff a thermometer into her bottom" treatment. The veterinarian (Dr. Ed Cohen) was great. He also took his time getting our dog to come to him, and he worked with her at her level on the floor. I was impressed also by how much information he shared with us about how the disease works and the various options available to treat it, over and above what we were doing already. We went there for options. While he didnt have holistic options to recommend—something that made me trust him even more, since he didnt just hand us a bottle of snake oil and charge us $100—he did tell us about a different drug that we could use as a supplemental treatment if her titer continues to climb. I was thoroughly impressed by our visit. The clinic is a little far for us to use on a routine basis, but I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pet.

Quite a few years back, Dr. Cohen saved our (my) cat Saturn (still with us at 18+ years) by providing the right prescription (when many other places were helpless). So I did not hesitate to take Mercury (my wifes baby) there when she had a bad tooth infection while my wife was traveling for a month. It turns out this was just the premises of jawbone cancer that took Mercury away. As my wife was travelling, Dr. Dawson helped with stabilizing the infection and general kidney weakness while making sure Mercury was no too much in pain so my wife could be with her for a short few days before putting her to sleep. Dr. Dawson was not just helpful and professional, but has real and sincere empathy both for the cat (you can tell she loves them) as well as for the quite overwhelmed cat keeper (me). This is to express my gratefulness to her. And of course, I would recommend the place.

We have been clients of Dr Cohens for about 10 years so we have a long history. We have received exceptional care for our dogs. We had a cavalier king charles who developed mitral heart valve illness and Dr Cohen and his staff gave us exceptional support in dealing with managing her issues that went on for several years. It was stressful for us but his support and the kindness of the staff was extraordinary. We currently have another cavalier who we have had over 3 years and are with Dr Cohen. The staff here is amazing! They all truly care. We do not have to worry about our pet needs as they advise us and keep track of everything. We like to engage in PREVENTIVE" care as much as possible and Dr. guides us through that process. We are loyal patrons. Other offices lack a certain personal touch that we find important. Dr Cohen and his staff, A-1 first class.

As one of the owners of a small non-profit cat sanctuary, I have been extremely impressed by the expertise, knowledge, and extraordinary care received at Anthem Pet Medical Center, which serves as our primary, full-fledged veterinarian to our rescue cats. Dr. Cohens diagnostic skills, as well as his training in alternative homeopathic methods, are combined to give comprehensive care that is always in the best interest of the cats. He takes the time to explain the various modes of treatment in a way that is thorough but understandable, which is most appreciated. And Dr. Dawsons personality and veterinarian skills are equally superb! I would recommend this veterinarian office (and have done so on numerous occasions) to anyone seeking the best care for their pets. You will be welcomed by the most friendly staff whom Ive ever had the privilege to get to know!

Very favorable first impression. Just moved into the area so this was our first visit. We were very concerned because our cat was again displaying symptoms which had been treated by 3 different vets (at the same large clinic) over the 2 previous months. The diagnosis each time was urinary tract infection and antibiotics were prescribed. Considering Dr Cohen did not charge us for this visit, it is hard to believe how willing he was to spend so much time with us and Lily, coming up with quite a different diagnosis, stress. Lily was being "stressed out" by all the packing, traveling, setting up household, etc. We left Dr Cohen quite relieved and confident in his diagnosis and sure enough, Lily was just fine in a few days, now that her environment is back to normal. No antibiotics required. We believe we have found our new vet.

Stetson Hills Animal Hospital is A #1 in every way. They listen well, collaborate with us on possible treatment plans for our dogs (and one has many health troubles), and always provide the most gentle and loving care. Dr. Dawson is kind, compassionate, very knowledgeable about new drugs and treatment options, she explains things very well, and is truly a pleasure to work with. Dr. Dawson recently made calls, personally, to compounding pharmacies to try and get a medicine our dog needed at a cheaper rate because she knows that budget is a big concern for us at the moment. The staff is AMAZING too. Jada. a Vet Tech, often greets us as we walk in, as does every staff member who is available. Special people here. Highly recommend!

I cant speak highly enough of the staff and care that we recieved. Our dog had injured his leg and they did an extensive evaluation, gave us pricing options as well as their recommendations based upon their experience. Pricing - More than fair and inline if not less that other providers. Staff even offered 1st time client discount that I was unaware of. Service - We called at 10am and were seen by 11am. Friendly and personal greeting, both on the phone and in the office. Bonnie was a pleasure to work with at the front desk and on the phone. Quality - We saw Dr. Denise Dawson and she and her assistant, Susie, were both very knowledgeable and caring. I cant imagine any scenario where we would ever use another Vet.

Doctor Cohen and his associates and staff at Anthem Pet Medical Center are a truly remarkable group of people. Our Lab is currently being treated for canine osteosarcoma. The course of treatment required the amputation of one of her front legs and and a regimen of chemo therapy which is in progress at the time this review is being written. Dr. Cohen and his staff have called after each of her procedures to ask about her progress and condition. These people obviously love pets as much as their clientele does. This Lab of ours is a beloved member of our family and we are very grateful for the love and care given to her by the Anthem Pet Medical Center; They have been fantastic.
