She is just awesome! I am a 46 year old female. At 44 years old, I tore my acl. She was exceptionally informed on latest research and confidently provided the best recommendations for my circumstances. Surgery went well, scars are so small... almost invisible.. male doctors take note. Full extension, and full bend! Dont get me wrong, acl surgery is not pleasant but Dr. Curl was simply the best. Because she is good and accepts whoever calls, she is really busy and may not have tons of time to chat. Her bedside manner is direct, informational, she lists the options and gives her recommendation backed by the latest research and her experience from the hundreds of surgeries she performs. If you want a surgeon with more time to chat, they will have less surgical experience and knowledge. As much as I like her as a person and would love to chat, I LOVE her experience in her field. She is just the best.

Left three voice messages to the surgical coordinate and never received a call back. Called again and got hold of her she said she was busy because had a grandbaby. Tried to ask the PA a question, left him three message and when he called me he left a voice mail saying I am returning the call. I tried to call him a minute later, and the two women who answered the phone said he is not in this #, I asked they could connect me to him, they they can only take a message. I said what if he calls me again and I am away from the phone. I asked the.m if they could tell a window of time, so I can call him at the time, they were unprofessional, they talked over me they argued with me that this the way they business and they are not going to change it.

So what that Dr. Curl is the surgeon to the Ravens. My experience, as a regular patient who went to her for a consultation, is that she minimized my significant orthopedic problem (left shoulder acromium issue + a torn rotator cuff) saying there was nothing in my MRI to indicate I needed surgery. I was in significant pain, and no other surgeon agreed with her; my MRI showed obvious signs I needed something done. She seemed dismissive of me because I wasnt anyone important - that was my impression. I have since had successful surgery.

Ive had several surgeries over the years for various injuries and she is my favorite by far. She rebuilt my collar bone a few years ago after shattering part of it and putting a rod in to stabilize it. Straight shooter and to the point. Learn a bit about your injury before you go in so you know what questions to ask; Is the surgery needed and what are my options, whats the recovery time frame, prognosis for recovery, range of motion post surgery, scarring concern and what are the complications.

Dr. Curl operated on my left shoulder 2007 and my right shoulder in 2016. Both were excellent experiences and successful full recoveries! I highly recommend her.
