Medical students are taught the importance of listening to your patients and that with a good history you can come up with a diagnosis 90 percent of the time. Somewhere along the way it gets lost as a physician moves on, often interrupting patients with their own "agenda" of questions. Finally found an incredible doctor who actively listened & have a working diagnosis for my postpartum complications, and something that provides a LOT of relief, thanks to Dr. Marvel! Medicine has become all about box checking for the purpose of documentation and RVU billing which is just sad. Dr. Marvel is the exception, careful, thoughtful and brilliant. Would recommend a consultation with Dr. Marvel without question. I traveled from NJ to do so and will continue to follow up with him if needed. I have seen many doctors during this journey (and am a physician myself). There is no one I would trust more!

The cover letter sent to new patients is filled with misspellings, malapropisms and misconjugated verbs. And the Docs name is signed on that letter. That should have been my first clue. I went there anyway out of desperation. I am male with pudendal neuralgia, a devastating issue. So Marvel sees men but takes no insurance. The consult fee was $750! He is basically praying on the desperate. For $750 I got a nice overview of pudendal neuralgia (that anyone can get off the internet), a toothpick stuck in my penis and a few drugs to try. No solutions, no help. Then the office made multiple mistakes trying to submit the insurance paperwork.

I have had one visit with Dr. Marvel for my chronic pain conditions. He was amazing!!! Blunt and to the point he was the first doctor in 2 years to lay it all out tell me it wasnt going to be easy but its possible. I have needed to hear those words for a long time. He could already tell I was a stubborn person who doesnt like change and it may cause us to butt heads BUT i will take that any day over a doctor who doesnt help me in any means. THANK YOU DOCTOR MARVEL!!!
