I never saw such childishness and unprofessionalism as displayed by Dr. David Rossi in Odenton, MD. I had just switched from regular Tricare Prime to the US Family Health Plan with Johns Hopkins and he was my introduction to what I thought was the top-rated hospital system in the U.S. I went in for a respiratory infection and this clown asked me if I was pregnant when he walked in - Im a male - and I suppose that it was his impression that I was of such a challenged mentality that I was supposed to find that funny. So after this first impression he gave me, he prescribed me some meds and for God knows what reason he entered the prescriptions to 2 different pharmacies, causing confusion among the pharmacies as to which was supposed to fill the prescriptions. I told him clearly which location was my preference, but he still did this without trying to contact me first. Long story short, I had to wait until after my 12-hour shift in DC to pick up my meds even though I was very ill and needed meds immediately. I informed him of his blunder on my next visit, and he gave a not-so-convincing apology...when discussion of which pharmacy came up again at the end of this visit, he felt compelled to entertain himself by asking me, "Do you want me to put it in both (locations)?" When I stared at him in disbelief and anger that he would ask me this after I conveyed to him how frustrated and angry I was to have to wait 14 hours to pick up my meds because of his carelessness, he had the audacity to ask me again when I didnt answer, "Do you want me to put it in both?" I had to control myself at this point and I never went back to him. Steer clear of this clown - he wont respect you as an adult and as a patient. Ive moved on to a second doctor with Johns Hopkins and I am happy with her. I wont judge JH by this one bad apple.

I have lived in the Odenton area for 6 six and have went to John Hopkins Community Physicians since they have opened. I am now going to see what other physicians are around the area. My experiences have all been the same no matter which doctor I see. Please see below for doctors visit reason and outcome. Reason- Dull consist pain, right side of lower addomen Outcome- Drink more water and exercise Reason- Social Anexity Outcome- Drink more water and pratice breathing exercises Reason- Existing Herniated Disc pinches nerve (painful and uncomfortable) Outcome- Diifernt Diagnose after 5 minutes of communications; diagnsed to be trapezius strain, unspecified laterality, sequela. Told to take Naproxen and see a Physical Therapy. This diagnoses came even after I told them that I did nothing to strain my trapezius and that I have been doing my PT exercises and it was still not helping. I feel like they treat the clients as cattle getting you in and out with little to no actual diagnoses. If I want to pay $$$$ for someone to tell me to drink more water or continue with exercises already in place I could get that advice or free from anyone.

This is my experience with the Howard County location: Dr. Lasser is a fantastic physician. My entire family has been seeing him for many years. We loved going to his practice and talking with the friendly staff and getting treated. Now that Dr. Lasser has partnered with John Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP), everything has been completely opposite. Its impossible to schedule an appointment. I have never been able to talk to Dr. Lasser directly when calling the office. JHCP staff is extremely rude. Their billing department is rude and extremely unhelpful. I was lied to by the front office staff. They told me I would not be charged to have my childrens medical records moved to another physicians facility. After calling the third party medical records office, they tell me there IS a charge. JHCP scores an absolute 0 in my book. I have NEVER had a worse experience in my life. I sincerely believe this is the worst move Dr. Lasser could have made in his career. Once again I think Dr. Lasser is a fantastic physician, but JHCP is a terrible, terrible organization. Avoid it at all costs! I really wish he was still at his old office.

We switched from Tricare to US Family Health Plan just to get care under Johns Hopkins. I have had little to no problems with JHCP. I get appointments scheduled with ease and even non-emergency-emergencies (such as strep, yeast infections, etc) are scheduled immediately. My concerns are listened to and Im treated with dignity and respect. I really feel that I was seen as a person, not just a patient number. Sometimes the wait can be a bit longer, but lets be realistic...this is something that is true for everything in life. Do people really expect to be seen at their appointment time?! Ive also had good experience with their haste when needing medical forms filled out for physicals. It has taken less than a week each time, with diligent concern and communication with me. I also delivered my baby at Bayview and it was a joy. Im gonna miss this clinic when we have to move. :(

Dr. Karen Williams is amazing, caring and very thorough. I havent come across a single support staff member that wasnt the same. I went to her after leaving a less "considerate" medical practice with a 12 year novel of medical history and just as many medical conditions. She actually read through most of it and was prepared to start helping me on my first appt. even though I was still going through quite a lot. She became my liaison between so many specialist and a great support to understanding other conditions I had. Even though most of my care had been through Anne Arundel doctors, some JH, she has been amazing. So amazing I have switch some doctors that werent so "great" to JH doctors and other recommendations to make sure I had a cohesive medical team. Im thankful the Lord lead me to her. Now my daughter & several friends go to her also. You wont regret!!

I switched from the other side to Dr. Strain. First, let me start out by saying, wow, what a drastic difference, even in just the atmosphere, from one side to the next. Everyone is so pleasant and smiling, not to mention professional. Dr. Strain and her M.A, are so nice, caring, knoweldgable and actually listen to you and make you feel very human, and not like just another number they couldnt wait to move out. My entire experience with this side of the 3rd floor was wonderful from start to end. I actually look forward to my next visit! I really hope they keep up the good work. They have wonderful raport with their patients. Thank you Dr. Strain and staff from the left side of the 3rd floor.

JHU administrative support staff are idiots. They forget to update the address on their system (they admitted it), and sends bill to my old address. Of course, I didnt get the bill. A year later, their collection agency wants $130 for an $80 hospital bill. So, I asked for the bill from the hospital to my current address. The JHU idiots dont send it. Collection agency contacts me again. I call the JHU billing dept again. They finally send it. I then paid it promptly after verifying the bill. A month later, JHUs lawyers write me asking for the $130 for the bill that was settled a month before! Total nincompoops! This review was written while I was put on hold on the telephone with JHU.
