3 stars since price is good, Hackett and his other vet assistants or whatever their title is are good. BUT, front desk clerks are rude and act like dont ever wanna be there. Wait time is outrageous and cant schedule appt. If do then still waiting just like any other doctor office. Hackett himself is awesome though! Dog got hit by jeep and broke leg about 30 min after they closed, through a friend of his was able to get his personal # and he said bring him in and meet me there he gave him shot for pain and put him in kennel and they called couple days later to pick dog up gave good instruction on medicine and everything. Took pins out few weeks later and everything pills and all was around $325. Not bad I didnt think. 5 stars if not for clerk attitude and wait time. Also be nice if they stayed open longer but was told 12-430 is time he goes out to peoples farma and does on-site work or bigger animals like horses and stuff

Horrible service! I wanted a horse to get a health certificate and coggins before purchasing. Dr. Hackett went out to the barn and didnt see anyone so he left - didnt even try to call me! I was able to get him to go back out when I called to check why the horse hadnt been seen yet. Then his secretary wont call you once your paperwork is in -you have to just keep calling her (I offered to provide my email so she could forward the papers to me upon arrival and she said she would "probably lose it" so just to keep calling the office until the paperwork came in.) The coggins took twice as long as they told me it would AND they forgot to charge me for it so a week after I paid my initial bill theyre calling for more money. Finally, the vet didnt even have the health certificate written up so I had to wait on him to do that once the coggins arrived, even though I had been waiting over a week for the coggins. WORST VET EVER.

we had a early night injury of our husky, Morgan. she got hit by a truck and broke her back leg and possibly caused other injuries. we called around and Dr. Hacketts place was still open. they agreed to stay open until we got there (we live in Monteagle). they took her in and after we got her to eat (she would not eat for anybody else!) they did surgery on her leg to put in 2 stainless steel pins in her leg (it broke just above her knee, almost in the growth plate!!!) and put her right rear leg in a wire splint. she then became an inside dog while her leg healed. and she healed quite well... cold weather still hurts her but she can run with the best of them... and sometimes run faster than uninjured dogs!!!

Theyre good at helping animals. Not so great at the human interaction thing. They leave out details so ask all the questions. They wont return your call. Employees dont communicate so if you get someone you didnt talk to before, they wont know anything. Im pretty sure its not the case but it seems as though they wait till the last possible moment to give you prices on procedures. Tiny building and weird hours. Mon-Fri is 8-12 then 3-6 and satrurdays are 12-3. Expect a wait. Even if its an emergency.

Me and my fiancé used to love going to Mr. Hackett. We would take all of our pets here. Until tonight, we will never go back there. Ever. We took our three year old husky there a year and a half ago to be neutered. We took him back a week later to get the stitches removed and a year and a half later, after we gave him a bath, we found every stitch had been left in him. So now we are stuck with painfully removing every stitch out of him and the skin has grown over them. We will never return.

took cat to vet at 12 and they would take and hold my cat till vet was there at 4:30 because i was new customer but i had been there many time just under different name. they have a crappy attitude(not vet) so i took it to all creature down the road and they were very nice and took him right in, cat had small wound on back from cat fight. i do not recommend hacketts and will never see my business again.

Staff are friendly. But dont take a pot belly pig to him. That type of pig would need Fayetteville Animal Clinic to keep from developing a hernia. A few extra stitches wouldnt have been too much to ask from the vet.
