Dr. Shaffer has taken care of my dogs for years. When my Ben came down with degenerative myelopathy she was my shoulder to lean on through the process of accepting the fact that his life was coming to an end. When the time came that he could no longer get around even with his wheelchair she came to my home and shed tears along side me as he went to sleep. She performed surgery on my Suzy when she was diagnosed with cancer and was able to remove the cancer, giving Suzy years of health. Unfortunately, Suzy was once again diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Shaffer operated on her and gave her a few more years of life. When Suzy was 13 1/2 years old, the cancer returned with a vengeance. Once again, Dr. Shaffer grieved with me as my Suzy went to sleep. Today, I have a rescue dog named Joey. Dr. Shaffer is now and will always be the only doctor he will ever know. She has a deep love for animals that is evident in every interaction she has with them.

I have gone there for years but 2 dogs ago when Dr. Shaffer came to our home over Memorial Day to put our large Golden Retriever down she made me a believer in her and Hecht Veterinary then & now 2 by 2. Her personal attention to our grief and what we were facing made thing easier on us. Jordan was sick and could not be healed see comforted us and told us we would know when. She have us her cell phone and told us to call her any time day or night, turns out she came out Monday Memorial Day to our home and bought flowers and hugs. I am still amazed by that and have told the story to many people. This time for my Cat I am working with Dr.Spink who is wonderful also...she took as much time as I needed explaining things to me and feeling my pain to help me through this illness with my Cat. I so appreciate all she has done. THANK YOU Two by Two you all are truly amazing!!!!!!!!!

Time was not only provided for my healthy feline buddy, Jasper, but for me as well. Life circumstances this year have been hardy, and the angst can pour out, & did. Dr. Shaffer was so kind to listen, and I realized I was appearing needy, but?? That is just it, she kept on appearing to be one on one with me, and this is what I totally appreciate, & want to make it clear that this is an example of total caring. As the first line of the Road Less Traveled starts, Life is Difficult, yes it is, but it was a little less difficult yesterday after I visited 2X2 and had our visit. We have received nothing but exceptional service from Two by Two. When we first brought home our then puppy we started at a different vet. Switched, was there for a year then had our dog groomed at Two by Two. Our dog seemed very happy there, so we switched everything to Two by Two and we couldnt be happier. We had a serious issue pop up this month where we literally thought our dog was dying, and he would have if we wouldnt have brought him into the vet. They had exceptional customer service and made me feel as comfortable as I could about a very scary situation for us. We do trust this vet with our pets life, and we did and still have our pet due to their wonderful care. Cannot recommend enough.

The Vets are caring and genuinely love animals. There were appointments they were not as personable, maybe aloof but one cant always be on top of their game. I was pressured by their vet assistants more than once to buy products from them and to have expensive tests done when they did not seem that necessary. I was lectured by assistants on things that they felt strongly about but did not know my views. I dont like writing a non-flattering review but they continued to send me emails asking to review them. I am aware of 4 pet owners who have chosen to take their business else where. I cant say why on all of them but one told me they were "way to expensive"

Dr. Shaffer has been there for me and my cats over the course of many years when Ive needed her most. Shes seen me through 4 very difficult, very sad times when Ive had to euthanize my best friends: one because of a brain tumor, one because of FLUTD, one because of kidney failure, and one because of hemangiosarcoma. She feels what I feel and cries with me. You couldnt ask for a more compassionate vet. Shes well schooled (at Michigan State University). I experienced how incredible MSUs vet hospital is when I went there with the HSA, and that is where Dr. Shaffer (along with the other 2 female vets at 2x2) was schooled.

I lived in Michigan only 2 years and recently moved away, but the Vets and Staff at Two by Two were readily available at all times. When I first moved there I did not have a vet and my cat Rudy became quite ill - they quickly arranged for me to bring him in for treatment within the hour and helped him get well. Over the two years we used the boarding services, grooming for our dogs Ralph and "Handsome" Jack and the care given our pets was far and above the best we have ever seen. I only wish I could have brought the entire clinic here to Louisiana with me to care for my pets. Thank you Two-by Two. Leslie & ScottyP.

Our Pekingese, Puffin, has been a patient of Two by Two for 8+ years, and we could not be more pleased. A few years ago, Puff developed an illness, but we were about to leave for a visit to family in CA. We had to leave her at Two By Two, not knowing whether she would survive the illness. Dr. Shafer phoned us on Thanksgiving day to let us know she was much better--thus taking time from her own holiday to send joy to ours. Puffin loves to visit Two By Two; Ive never had a dog who looked forward to seeing a vet! We cannot imagine trusting our beloved pet to anyone else.

We took my dog to Two by Two for his final years. We spent a lot of money there as his diseases increased and conditions worsened. After his death, we had an issue with Two by Two. They refused to acknowledge that it was their fault, then finally did, then dismissed it with "Your dog just died. Isnt that enough to worry about?" Months later, when I had mentioned this to friends, they insisted that I contact the owner to report what happened. I wrote a letter explaining how hurt we were by the callous handling of that issue. I never heard back from anyone.

We have always been impressed with Two By Twos quality of care. The office staff are always kind and helpful. I also appreciate all three of the doctors demeanors and trust any of them to assess and treat my dogs. All three of my boys are so excited to go to Two By Two, which doesnt happen in most cases when animals have to visit the vet. I recommend Two By Two to my friends all the time. I also recommend their grooming services to anyone, as one of my dogs has to be groomed for therapy dog work on a regular basis.
