This veterinarian clinic is about 40 miles from where I live. I choose to go to Woodburn Veterinary Clinic because of the extensive staff available and the consistent service that this staff provides. It is excellent service, and while there are about 6-8 veterinarians working out of this clinic, its size is very appropriate for that number of doctors, the check in process and check out process is also large enough to handle this kind of volume and it is super easy and very personal, at the same time. They do a really good job at getting to know you and your animal so even though they are larger, it is no sacrifice for service at any level. The doctors (my dog has seen four different doctors now) are working very much in concert with each other because the care they advise and give is extremely consistent between them. Its like having the same doctor- you dont feel like you have to start all over again with a new doctor. The full file notes are there for every doctor to see and they walk in the exam room knowing everything about you and your pet before youve even met them. Its amazing. If only health care for humans worked this good! Also, they are very reasonably priced - VERY reasonable. I dont know if in town (within Portland city limits) veterinarians are just priced much much higher or if maybe it is just the one that I used to use many years ago when I had my last family member pooch. My original Veterinarian is not there anymore and has since retired. So, maybe their pricing structure is just different due to different costs, and wages, etc. I am set up with all my dogs records at my in town vet in case of an emergency that wont allow me to take the extra time to get to Woodburn. I set it up, in advance, on purpose. But, when comparing prices, item by item, be it the exact same panel of blood work, or vaccinations, or just a wellness check-up- the difference is completely staggering. Woodburn Veterinarian is about 35-40% less on average across the board for all services and care that I have compared to date. So, I absolutely have made this MY Veterinarian Clinic of choice for many reasons. I honestly think that this is just a really good group of caring people, Veterinarians, Assistants, Front Desk and even the Accounting Dept. are super nice and really enjoy their jobs. I think that their costs are lower than my vet in town because of banding together in a larger clinic in able to provide top quality care at reasonable prices is a good business model. And, of course, things like the actual facility, property taxes, power, etc. are all much lower in Woodburn than in Portland proper. So, Im sure all those things come into play when they are looking at the pricing structure for care and labs, etc. Its just really nice to know, after doing my homework and after more than several visits to this clinic that I definitely made the right choice for my best friend and constant companion. I only have positive things to say about Woodburn Veterinary Clinic. ;)

They are knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly, and truely care about animals. Over the years, they have treated our llamas, chickens, dogs and cats. We wouldnt think of going anywhere else.
