I went here today with my cat Paulie who is having some skin problems. I just moved nearby, so it was our first visit to this vet. When we walked in the door, a staff member behind the front desk greeted us warmly asking if this was Paulie, and then quickly ushered us into an exam room. There were two patients checking out also. The whole building was clean, well lit, felt bright and cheery, inside and out, stocked with quality pet food options. Paulie was scared because a loud fan was running in the exam room. He hid in his crate, which is not his norm, but I turned off the fan and he rested quietly in there. The vet tech came in the room to weigh him, she greeted him gently, but he didnt want to come out. She took a detailed history instead, and said shed let the vet weigh him so he wouldnt have to be pulled out twice. The vet came in and immediately sat on the floor talking with Paulie. She waited patiently and finally after realizing he wouldnt come out, she apologized to him gently and pulled him out with care. She immediately cradled him in her arms like a baby and sweet talked to him as she brought him over to the scale. Paulie was purring almost instantly. The rest of the visit went great. She offered options and supported the wait and see approach with medications, but didnt push for more expensive procedures. She was candid, honest, and shared the possibilities of what is causing his issues. Prices were very reasonable, I was surprised. After the visit, they emailed me a follow up "report card." Very happy with their services and look forward to this practice being around for a long time.

Ego and money. My seriously ill animal is used as a weapon of punishment, and she feels righteous about it. Today proved that true care for the animal is clearly not the case. In an emergency - in the past, having funding pre approved they were great. But make no mistake- The love of money and their own egos is the god of worship here. Im sure that as long as you have plenty of room on your credit card- youll never be the wiser. But when your animal is dying, and youve been reassuring her through the weekend, staying up almost all night, not being able to get her in on an emergency basis, being referred to places that demand higher & upfront payment for only a report written. Then finding - After inquriy- that the next day scheduling availability at Cascade VC was PLENTIFUL ("what time would you like?")after being told there was no availability an hour earlier. Well it says "We dont care about your cat." Not to mention bold face being lied to, and sorry Dr. Paulson- your receptionist DID LIE to me. Theres not mistake. I got upset, naturally. I also talked it over with -the offic mger? We agreed on noon today. You called from vacation to tell me were not welcome. You attempt to "punish " me for an angry voice mail that was already discussed. You are USING MY DYING CAT as a weapon of said punishment. You are a fraud. You are not a caring person. You let your ego dominate you and negate any values otherwise, therefore YOU are the animal.

I brought my newly adopted pit mix rescue dog here for a general wellness/intake exam and a couple extra shots the rescue didnt give her. Dr Paulson and the staff is great. My dog loved Dr Paulson, although she could tell she was in a vet clinic and was slightly upset, Dr Paulson took the time to calm her down, and got rewarded with a face-plant-enthusiastic pibble kiss. Ive never seen any of my dogs greet a vet like that! A couple weeks later, my dog was limping badly and not getting better so back we went. They were able to get me in same day! My pit wasnt even upset to be at the vet, she just layed quietly on the rug and greeted the Dr as enthusiastically as before. Turns out she has a luxating patella, but instead of immediately suggesting surgery as many vets would, Dr Paulson suggested it may heal on its own and perscribed anti inflammatories and restricted exercise for 2 weeks. Id recommend this vet to anyone. Its clean, great staff, and the prices arent bad either!

I am extremely pleased with Cascade Heights Veterinary Center. We anxiously awaited our new companions arrival back in May, we have been looking for a good vet since before he arrived! Tough to find. Our criteria was bright, honest, strait forward, compassionate, and knowledgeable with a professional but caring staff. We looked and looked and we were definitely picky but no luck. Meanwhile we had been using the local places for vaccinations and exam but hadn’t found the right vet. Unfortunately our little friend, 74lb. 7 month Rottweiler had some intestinal issues diarrhea etc. We went back to one of the local places and received care but not the level we were looking for or and they really didn’t seem to care. Fortunately our neighbor recommended Cr. Paulson and Cascade Heights Veterinary Center. Wow! What a great find. This will be our permanent vet, attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable and relatable, and the staff was just as kind and caring. Thank You!

We had a wonderful experience at Cascade Heights Vet Center, Im really glad we chose to come here. We are new pet owners of a cat who was having lots of litter box problems and the whole family - including our cat! - was feeling pretty stressed. We couldnt even get her into her carrier but the vets office assured us over the phone they would wait. The waiting room and the exam room was clean, crisp, yet homey, very nice environment. Assistant was extremely friendly, gave coloring to our daughter to keep her occupied etc. Dr. Paulson was so gentle and good with our super stressed kitty and with us - it felt like a therapy session! After an exam, turned out kitty had a UTI and got some treatment - and immediately no more problems and a lot calmer, happier cat. We were thrilled. The follow up was excellent as well. Definitely our cats vet for life!

I brought my dog, Bella, into Dr. Paulson after she began having complications due to old age. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst for Bellas health. Dr. Paulson handled the situation with much poise, compassion, and professionalism. We explored all options for care: long term, short term, results, costs, expectancy--you name it. I received several follow up calls in the next few weeks checking in on Bella. This is the type of care I have never experienced from any veterinary professional. When the time came, Dr. Paulson and her team provided a safe comfortable space for me and Bella. Lastly, they took the time to write a sympathy card and express their condolences after the fact. Dr. Paulson and her team will give your pet a level of care you didnt think you could receive. I recommend this clinic without the slightest reservation.

I originally met Dr. Kathleen Paulson while she worked at another veterinarian clinic here in Seattle. I really appreciated how compassionate, knowledgeable, and practical she was when assessing my two cats, Petey and Scritch, and followed her here, to Cascade Heights. She takes her time getting to know you and your pet, and follows up with you very promptly with test results, etc. She also treats your pet as if its the most special critter shes seen all day, and thats VERY special in its own right! The front staff are warm, funny, and intelligent, and the pricing is very reasonable. Im so very thankful to have finally found a vet I trust my furry friends with and this review is long overdue...
