I must be a glutton for punishment. I came back here because the HMO dental insurance through my company is cheaper and I was trying to save a few dollars. Well, what I saved in dollars I lost in time and sanity. They are consistently running 30-45 minutes late for dental appointments. Yesterday I had to take my daughter for an Ortho appointment and dental cleaning. The appointments were made by their staff one right after the other. Ortho got us in right away and sent us back to the waiting room to wait for the cleaning. It took over an hour for them to call her back for her cleaning! And that was after I went to the desk THREE times!! I certainly wouldve left if my daughter didnt need her wire put back in. I spent almost three hours there for an Ortho visit and dental cleaning. When you check in they always say "Were running a little late". I dont know about you but I would never consider 30-45 minutes a "little late". When I questioned them on it the office manager told me that the corporate office makes them book so many patients a day and that they are short on space since they are sharing with Ortho. I told her that I understand but frankly their office issues are not my problem. I tried tell them that maybe if they were more honest about the delays that patients would be more receptive. All they did was complain about the corporate office and how all the offices are like this, to which I kept telling them thats not my problem. I tried to call the corporate office when I got home to no avail. There corporate number goes directly to a voicemail and they do not give a time frame for when they will call back. Needless to say Im still waiting. Im so glad that this happened on the last day of my open enrollment. I have switched to the more expensive plan and will never be going here for dental again!! The dental hygienist and Dr. Bennett are amazing. The Ortho assistant and Dr. Long are amazing. The front staff ruins it for the whole practice. I just cant overlook the piss poor management and scheduling for this place.

As a new resident of the area I had not found a dentist yet when I broke a tooth. I pulled up my insurance list and this practice came up first so I called them and surprise they could see me that afternoon. When I walked in it was apparent that this was NOT a traditional dental practice. People were waiting in line to be seen four deep by the three receptionists that were working the front desk. When I finally got called back (25 minutes after my appointment) I had a bite wing x-ray crammed down my throat and ignored. "My dentist" came breezing through the open cubical like room. Barely introducing himself to me, he went behind me to the computer to look at the x-ray that I could not see. He then mumbled something about probably wont need a root canal and started to leave. I had to stop him to even ask a question about what that meant - he stood with one foot out the door and quickly answered one question and left. The dental assistant then proceeded to give me a long itemized list of all the costs. Several of which seemed to be "extras" including the "Quality Upgrade." Evidently quality work is an option you pay extra for. They claimed it was lab fees from the place that makes the crown that the insurance company wont pay. Then they tried to get me to get it all done right then right there. Instead I went home and called my insurance company. They said the extra charges were the dentist trying to pad his bill and there were no additional fees, for the crown, that were not covered in the cost they estimated. I called a different dentist right down the street. I got wonderful personalized care from people who did not treat me like a commodity. And guess what - because they were honest - the cost was half as much as the estimate from Greenberg for the same procedure. Better care, lower costs. Ill never go back to Greenberg or recommend it to anyone.

Every time I go to Greenberg Dental at Bartram Park, I leave incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied. The level of customer service is extremely poor. What upsets me most about their customer service is that they dont acknowledge their patients. Patients are simply treated as another number to the staff. Its like an assembly line. They overbook appointments and make patients wait at least 45 - 60 minutes in the lobby before they are even called back into an exam room. My most recent visit there has been the worst experience yet. They are so short-staffed that when I called to make an appointment I had to leave a message with an answering service and did not even get a return call until two days later. I arrived for my appointment early yet still had to wait an hour to be seen. The dentist as well as the dental assistant that called me back into a room were impersonal, unfriendly, and acted as if they were in too much of a hurry to give me the time of day. I came in for a chipped lower front tooth and it wasnt until after the dentist had put the filling on my tooth that he informed me he didnt make the tooth the same length as the others. He just filled in the chipped part. He didnt even bother to ask me if that was okay (which, by the way, it was not). Now my front lower teeth are noticeably uneven. I dont appreciate that they didnt keep me informed during any part of the procedure. People kept bustling in and out of the room without explaining anything, let alone even acknowledge my presence. This is not how a successful business should run. The only reason that I went there the few times that I did is because Greenberg is covered by my insurance but they are so terrible that I would actually pay to go somewhere else. At least I would be treated with respect and get quality service.

Let me start this review with this info on my background: does anyone remember hearing about that horrible dentist that worked on children in Jacksonville that people only went to if they had the worst insurance possible? He was arrested and lost his license because he practically tortured his patients and removed teeth when they were only there for a cleaning, etc etc etc. Well, until Greenberg Dental here in Bartram he was my dentist and the only experience I had. Clearly I was traumatized and refused to see any dentists for years following that but I knew I needed braces and my mom and I chose the first place that was in a nice area that was covered by her insurance... Now, onto the review! Ill never understand why the reviews are so bad for this place. I came here for about 2-3 years for my braces and every visit was fantastic to say the least! Its in a very nice area of town and the people who work here are beyond amazing. The ladies in the office were always super funny and sweet and helpful to my mother and I, and they did their best to fit me in any time I had an emergency with my braces. The ladies in the back and my ortho (really wish I could remember his name) were all so sweet and so relaxed and hilarious. Every time I went it was like I got to spend time with my own friends and every visit was a pleasure. The only time I didnt enjoy my visit was the day I got my braces put on, for obvious reasons haha. Everyone is helpful, kind-hearted, down to earth, and excellent at their craft. I love this place so much!
