I had my initial visit and cleaning with the staff at Ankeny Dental Arts. I was very impressed ahead of time because they told me to play for 1-1.5 hours for this visit. At my previous dentists, I never was given that much time. They were prompt as when I arrived a few minutes early, they took me back right away. I met with Paula, the hygienist, and she took a detailed history of my previous dental experiences and asked about my goals. Dr. Hayden performed an examination and gave me a clean bill of health informing me that all looked good with the teeth and gums. Paula went about her way cleaning and its by far one of the best cleanings I have had. My teeth do feel squeaky clean. I went ahead and scheduled my 6 month follow up as to keep the "clean bill of health" going. Apparently they are hard to get scheduled with, I had to wait a few weeks to get in. No sense in waiting again in 6 months. Overall, I was impressed with the laid back environment, professional courtesy, and treatment experience. While, I am new to the area, they must be one of the best!

I had been to the same dentist for 15+ years and couldnt believe what Id been missing all that time. Staff was extremely friendly, very on time, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Plus, I got to watch tv during my exam! Dr. Van Beek and his crew were great and I highly recommend them to others in the Ankeny area!

one star is generous, my wife was scammed by this establishment, did an unnecessary procedure to get the insurance money because insurance paid 80%.. They are nice enough but you might as well hand over all your insurance money they will get it one way or another.
