I went there for the first time the other day. I was so disappointed when i left. Not only was there a screaming match between 2 employees while i was there with my 6 year old. The office manager lied to me about my insurance coverage. I have 2 insurance policies for dental. She was telling me i had to pay 50% for all work . that my 2nd company wouldnt pick anything up till after i used ALL my benefits from my primary. She also wanted me to pay my deductible for both insurances even though it was only processing one. When i questioned that it has always been the 2nd policy picks up what ever the primary doesnt up to a certain dollar amount she told me i was wrong. And that it all comes from corporate. Then they were pressuring me into getting more work done then what i needed and wanted. They refused to do any actual work the day i came in and said that i would need to make a follow up appointment to even have my teeth cleaned and that i had to pre pay today for any work i wanted done. I asked why they couldnt even clean my teeth and i was scoffed at because they were closing soon. Mind you i made an appointment. I was there 15 minutes before my appointment and they kept me waiting in the lobby for 35 minutes. They only had one other client in the whole time i was there. Absolute waste of my time.

Told receptionist at the Ankeny Aspen dental office that my daughter needed to see their oral surgeon for her wisdom teeth. She told me they had one at this location so I made the appointment. When we got there, they thought that she was there for a cleaning. When we explained the reason for her appointment, we were told that they dont have an oral surgeon at the Ankeny office plus he is still not fully certified and would take at least until the end of September for him to get all of the certifications. A total waist of time and money! X-rays were taken before we could talk to the dentist & explained so I imagine a bill will be coming our way for the X-rays! If people just really listened bad experiences like this one could be avoided. Dentist was nice but I wouldnt recommend this office. Receptionists need more training in listening to what customers are really wanting & looking for!

Went in for wisdom tooth pain, got free x-rays and exams for being a first time visitor! Staff was extremely polite and helpful. They identified the issue among other issues which I have chosen to put off for now due to cost. They scheduled me two weeks out to see their oral surgeon(luckily my pain subsided after a few days).Fast forward to D-day. Oral surgeon was amazing got me in the seat quickly but had a complication with seditive machine making it impossible to "put me under". I was nervous and they told me I could reschedule but I decided to go ahead anyway. I am glad I did, it only took him 10 min to get the tooth out and other than the needle hurting at the beginning to numb me up it was completely painless! Im glad I was not drugged up. It seems unnecessary now that I have done it without. Great team that took care of me start to finish I will definitely be back!

I worked with Keiry Castaneda at the Aspen-dental location in Ankeny IA I just want to say what a wonderful job she did, she was very professional and knowledgeable and concern about the well beings of her patience. Keiry made a bad day into a great day for me! She gave 110% in went over in beyond to make sure I understood what was going on. I am going to recommend this location in the staff Expecially Keiry to friends in family that need any worked done. Yes I will be visiting this location again! I give this location 5 out of 5 stars thanks for the great service with a smile. GO KEIRY GO IF YOU NEED ANY DENTAL WORK DONE DONT WALK RUN TO ADPEN DENTAL IN SEE KEIRY IN A FRIENDLY SMILE!

I HATE ASPEN DENTAL! first off. there business hours are from 10am - 7pm on tuesdays, i started calling at 10am they finally turned there phones on at 10:45am i was in terrible pain and asked them if they could get me in right away to get looked at, they said the earliest they could get me in is 4pm on that friday. that is the worst service i could ever ask for i will always frown on aspen dental and will tell everyone i know not to go there. terrible service im so glad i went to a small local denistry who went out of his way to get me in on his lunch break to get me looked at and taken care of

My wife and I havent been to a dentist in years. We finally decided to due to tooth aches for both of us. Made an appointment for us both online. Went to our appointments, had x-rays done, had our exams, talked to the dentist who explained different treatment options, talked to office manager to go over pricing and scheduling, got everything set, and were able to get in later the same day for getting tooth pulled. Very grateful to all for swiftness and ease of process! Side note, I had seen the dentists father (orthopaedic surgeon) 20 years ago. He was just as nice as his dad was!

Doubt Ill be back. Thought I was making an appointment to get my teeth cleaned, instead it was just an hour long consultation about how much teeth cleaning would cost, and a ton of unnecessary ex-rays. They kept trying to push more and more add-ons above what my insurance would cover. I felt like it was a "sales" consultation. I was told by another dentist, that they try to find any little thing wrong with you, so they can put you on a treatment plan, and charge you as much money as possible. WHAT A SCAM! Yes, their doctors are knowledgable, but all they want is your money.

0 star experience. Scheduled a regular cleaning and spent 30 minutes getting a "screening" before finding out they dont do cleanings for new patients on the first visit. Had to schedule a second visit to get my teeth cleaned. They performed a $71 cancer screening without asking or informing me that this was not covered by insurance (I had previously told the hygienist I only wanted services covered by insurance). Will not be back and will actively discourage others from visiting.

Aspen Dental has really qualified staff and Dentist. I am going to stay with my Dentist that I started this process with because she knows me and I have a lot of Dental work needed and just want to stay with my Dentist that I started with. I have already moved my appointments to the Aspen Dental Office on CIVIC PKWY. You were all wonderful and quite good at your jobs. I am staying with Aspen Dental just going to follow my Dentist. Waited for an hour, then asked the front desk personnel if I was going to be seen soon. The woman looked offended by my inquiry and became very rude, defending the wait times in a dental chair as normal. My wife also had a bad experience at this same location with rude and borderline aggressive staff. Will never go to another Aspen Dental and will caution all others to pick a different dentist that values their patients and treats them with dignity and respect.
