I have been taking my fur baby Dante to Dr. Courtney since he was a puppy and he just turned 5yrs old. Dr Courtney is an expert in her field and she always educates me about Dantes condition and makes me feel very comfortable asking questions about his care. She is very conservative with her care and tries all the noninvasive treatment first. I also appreciate that when she cannot remedy his ailment she will get us to the proper specialist . Dante has had luxating patella surgery at Oaklawn animal hospital and has a specialist for his Inflammatory Bowel Disease at OSV Hospital. His specialist are excellent however it is Dr Courtney that coordinates the entire team making certain Dante will always receive the best care. She continues to double and triple check his treatment plan and answers all my numerous questions. I am so grateful for her assistance with Dantes well and sick care . It is so difficult to have a dog on daily medicines and ongoing monitoring with labs and testing. Dr Courtney has made an unpleasant situation easy for me to manage . I am a retired health professional and people / animals ....it us all the same... Knowledge and treatments come from a textbook ... Dr Courtney adds compassion, care and love to the mix while always involving Dantes family in the decision process . We love her and her staff both at Oaklawn Animal Hospital and Cranston Animal Hospital . She is an asset to the veterinary profession and we see her because Dante deserves the best!!!!!!

I have been coming here since Dante was born 5yrs ago and I am a retired nurse. Although people medicine is slightly different I do know the value of compassion. Dante has had a rough 5 yrs and still has many problems Inflammatory bowel disease , luxating patella surgery, frequent ear infections etc.. We have also accessed care at other speciality hospitals in the area. Dr Courtneys clinical expertise is outstanding and she is so compassionate and caring. Most importantly, her staff and techs (Lil Courtney, Ashley, Maria, Fran, Christina ,Amy,Sonja, Michelle and the girls names I cant recall) are outstanding. Dante is very difficult when he is ill yet the way they approach him makes things so much easier and stress free. I do not know what I would do without Dr. Courtney and her crew!!! No one wants a sick fur baby, but the care they give him makes it so much easier to handle. Thank you from our hearts!! Vera , Amanda & Dante XO

Been to other vets in the same area Atwood animal, Warwick, etc... I bring both my puppy and my 8 yr old here and honestly I stayed because when I call there is an answer to my question when I need an appointment they make one not a month away a few day maybe, if not right away and when my dogs are there they feel comfortable, the older one has dogs anxiety barks and gets very loud, they let me go threw the back door if there are dogs in the waiting area, thats big for me. When we took our puppy home there she was administered the appropriate shots and up to date on everything thanks to there help and the price was reasonable. ( Comming from a part time worker&& full time student ) they do a good job and make me and the dogs feel at ease, I recommend them. -- also Im a providence resident Not a "" Cranston Snob "" as seen from post below!

HIGHLY RECOMEND YOU SEE THIS HOSPITAL. I was extremely pleased with my experience at Oaklawn animal hospital. I took my long haired Persian there for the first time yesterday. The nurse was extremely gentle and thorough with violet and the doctor was amazing. I did not bring my previous vet records that I had for my cat because I was very unhappy with how they treated my cat and myself, but, when I arrived they had them already on hand faxed over which was wonderful. They both took their time to listen to me examine and explain treatment for my baby. The price was absolutely reasonable considering what we received ( initial visit cost $55, lab test, 2 antibiotics and a big bag of food). All in all hats off to the staff at Oaklawn animal hospital. I will be taking by baby there from now on.

I cant even begin to say how amazing Dr. Courtney Rebensdorf has been for my pets and family. She has treated my wife and my dog Dante many times over the years as well as our pet rabbits. Due to the many issues we had with health issues with some of our rabbits she would even see them for free and not charge us. After hours one night she let us bring our dog Dante who seemed to be feeling very bad. She took us right in and examined him and decided he needed hospitalization at ocean state animal hospital. Dante was diagnosed with heart failure and was saved because she was willing to see him after hours. I would give her my business for as long as she stays practicing. Thank you Dr. Rebensdorf from the bottom of our hearts!

I have an eight month old puppy. She is a bichon mix. Over the course of 5 months i have called the hospital for various problems. The last one was due to fireworks going off and my pup was so scared I was scared. Every time I have called the hospital one of the vets calls me back and always always has a solution to my problem. It is very stressful getting a puppy and you want to do the best you can it is sooo helpful to know I have a reliable Animal Hospital to go to or call. I will also say we had her spayed and I was a nervous wreck they did an unbelievable job and it was soo easy to take care of her. This makes it much less stressful being a first time puppy owner. Thank you!!!!

First off-I think that this office is very used to catering to the western Cranston snobs because I feel that several of the vets, aside from Dr. Mahaney, are very pompous. I think that 80% of what they do is overkill. My dog went in for surgery and I was charged for teeth extractions that were never even taken out (I had to go to another vet). Several times over the years I have had some minor emergencies come up and I was always directed to an animal hospital because they could never fit me in. I feel that they try to make money off their prescriptions…the list goes on and on. This office is all about making money.

I have been taking my dogs to Oaklawn Animal Hospital for over 20 years and stayed because the vets are very professional, all of them. They are not snobs. The staff are also very kind, professional and helpful at all times. I have never had a bad experience at Oaklawn. They have always gone above and beyond to take care of my dog when she is sick or needs regular tx. I LOVE them, they are the best bar none! I am moving away and will miss them very very much. Take my word for it, Oaklawn Animal Hospital has American Animal Hospital Association accredidation, they are the best!!! Ginny and Penny

My dog was hit by a car and is in so much pain and cant move. I was charged almost $700 just for them to tell me he had a dislocated hip. Not once going in was I able to talk to the vet directly. They did not help me bring my dog to the car. They have offered no treatment or suggestions, they even told me they had no suggestions on how to help the poor thing go to the bathroom in his condition. They said he might need surgery, but wont see him for another 10 days meanwhile he cant even move his body comfortably to drink water and still had not been able to go to the bathroom.
