This is in response to the last two negative reviews posted, and therefore feel it is my duty to protect the image of this clinic as a therapist who works here. I am not one to post reviews on anything, since I strongly feel it is an opinion, and in my life experience, I have learned you should never judge a book by its cover, and we must always make our own opinions based on our own experiences with whatever it is we come in contact with, especially when it involves a review involving customer service. My experience will always be based on my experience, and not someone elses review because every side always has its story, and every customer always has a different expectation. With this said, I have been a therapist at Therapy World for 6 years now, and have been working out of the Poinciana office since they opened their location here a couple years ago. First, thank you for your compliments in regards to the therapists here. It is very much appreciated. You can ask any of the parents sitting in the waiting room, and many will tell you we treat our children as if they are our own. We love every single one that comes through those doors! Honestly, we should be rated on our services, and anything else can kindly be brought to our attention at the office, and we will do everything possible to fix the problem, as long as it is within our control to do so. There is no need to review our clinic on something which may beyond our control. Again, you do not know the reasons behind why something may be occurring at said location. Not sure how long ago these Google reviews began, but know it has been available for quite some time. As you can see, out of all these years, the last two reviews are the first complaints on this clinic since Therapy World began operating 6 years ago, and they are not even based on our services, but rather the "look" of the location. If you ask my opinion, that says A LOT about the integrity of this place. Negative reviews are the first reviews to be posted, since people rather focus on the negative than the positive. Either way, I will go ahead and explain the situation, so those who read the last two reviews can understand the situation at our Poinciana location. Our location in Poinciana is next to a gas station, and because of this, we have very high traffic coming and going through a sidewalk that connects our location with the gas station. Unfortunately, many people choose to throw away their garbage on the floor. We do everything we can to keep our area clean at all times, but at times, it is very difficult to keep it up. As a parent, again, please feel free to call attention to any garbage you may see as you enter and leave our location, and we will be more than happy to pick it up. Our receptionist is very busy doing many things, and of course, the therapists are busy providing therapy, so our parents are our eyes at times. As for the AC, again it is a matter of opinion, and we find it extremely hard to accommodate everybody since what may be hot for someone may be cold for someone else. I can assure you that the AC works great! It is so cold, I have to wear a jacket every day. The waiting room may be hotter than the rest of the clinic because of the incoming and outgoing traffic of the clinic, and the front door is constantly being opened, which of course, causes much of the AC to escape. Again, I can only apologize for these inconveniences, but please understand we cannot control much of it, and please refrain from posting a negative review on Therapy World for what I consider unimportant, and it may have a simple solution if brought to our attention. I know Therapy World does everything possible to make everybody happy, but most of all, the kids who attend our clinic.

The therapist here are amazing. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the receptionist at the Poinciana location. Shes rude, and lacks customer service. Prior to my child first visit, I set everything up via email. Upon arrival, the receptionist rudely informed me that my child could not be seen because I did not have a referral from a doctor. I told her that I was specifically told by the person I made the appointment with that I would not need one since I was paying out of pocket and not using insurance. She proceeded to argue with me in front of everyone until I requested that she get a supervisor. She came back, rolled her eyes and said I was right he could be seen. She did not bother to apologize. The second time I came to the office, I came in to make an appointment and bring in referrals for another type of therapy my child needed that would be covered by his insurance. I gave her a copy of my ID, insurance card, and she took the referral. She gave me the appointment date and said I was all set. The day comes for my appointment and the same receptionist calls me up and asks me for the same referrals she took from me when I made the appointment. I told her I had already given her the referrals and my insurance card when I came in the make the appt. Again, she proceeded to argue with me in front of everyone yet again just to pull my childs file and confirm that I was correct yet again. This is a good practice with amazing therapist but they seriously need a new receptionist.

The therapist here are amazing. They genuinely care about their patients. The reasoning behind the low rating is the appearance of the office. First off, on several occasions there has been a lot of trash near the front door. I have even seen some beer cans two weeks in a row. I understand that this trash is more than likely not being produced by this office, however to uphold the integrity of the office I feel that someone should clean it up. Second, Im not sure if the A/C is broken in the waiting room but its always so hot. My child has been coming here for weeks and its always the same thing. This place could be amazing if more effort was placed on smaller details.

The therapists are amazing...!! My son is almost one year taking therapy and I see the huge progress!!. Even the recepcionist is amazing.... Always help us.... Thanks world Therapy!!
