I would highly recommend CORA Rehab - Deland. The facility is clean and their entire staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My daughter and I have both worked with John McFarland, who is their Director of Sports Medicine. My daughter was 7 years old when she worked with John to rehab a gymnastics injury, for which she was out of the gym for 11 months. He did a wonderful job with her, making her feel comfortable, and encouraged her positive attitude to get back in the gym . She went back to full work-outs, when released, and hasnt had any further issues related to her injury. In addition to getting her back in the gym, the whole staff obviosly made a positive, lasting impression on her, as she always wants to visit CORA just to say hi! Currently, I am 5 weeks post hip surgery and working with John weekly. I have nothing but positive things to say about each and every person at CORA and am extremely thankful for everything theyve done for our family. Although I pay out of pocket because my insurance doesnt cover my physical therapy at this facility, theyre very reasonable and I would never go anywhere else! If youre looking for a team of friendly professionals who have your best interest and your full rehabilitaion in mind, youll find them at CORA Reab, Deland! They rock!

John really knows his stuff! Hes extremely skilled and helped get my back muscles and structure on the right track! I went in with extreme pain in my right shoulder and with his training, recommendations, and exercises I no longer experience this pain! Im headed back to physical fitness that I havent seen for ten years. Great job to the physical therapists and trainers at CORA in Deland! Update: Be sure to ask not only how much you owe for the visit youre at, but if there are any charges that have been skipped over. There was a payment that was missed in the middle of my scheduled visits and was not added to the further four visits that I made and paid separately AFTER the missed payment. If it sounds confusing and like something that shouldnt even happen, youre right. They sent that payment off to collections and the whole thing should have been avoided had they simply said the next time I made a payment in person to them, "Theres also this amount from the previous time that we need to settle." I would have replied, "Ok, great. Here you go!" Double check every single time youre there with whoever takes your money that they actually know what theyre doing. Im still happy with the skill of the trainers and and physical therapists there. Its office admin that was the problem.

My physical therapist wears a shirt that reads, “Suck it up, buttercup.” I’ve been seeing a lot of her since I had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. She appears sympathetic during each hour-long torture session (most serial killers do – it’s the secret of their success.) However, the camaraderie among other victims – er, patients - surprises me. When our eyes meet, there’s a smile, a nod, or murmur of encouragement. During brief moments of rest, I’ve had people lean over and ask, “How did it happen?” or “Did you have surgery?” Simple gestures, yet when you’re in pain and feeling frustrated, encouragement from strangers in the same boat is comforting. Our injuries may be different, but our goals are clear and compelling: to be pain-free and able to move with a full range of motion. CORAs competent staff works diligently to ensure that our goals will be reached.

I recently completed PT after having a spinal fusion. The physical therapists were wonderful, guiding me through my rehabilitation with expertise regarding my specific medical needs. I have also participated in their fitness program after my PT was finished. This has been so helpful, with the physical therapists monitoring my workouts, and once a month adjusting my workouts as my back continues to strengthen. I recently had my 5 month follow up and my Dr. was impressed with my flexibility and pain free movement. I could not have reached this point without CORA. Thank you!

After 2 months of positive successful therapy, I decided to sign up for the Physical Maintenance Program. That was 4 years ago and Ive never regretted one day. The staff is highly skilled and very people friendly!!! Iam currently enrolled in a Golf Improvement Program and have already seen a big difference in my game.

The staff is very helpful and makes having to go through therapy enjoyable. My experience at this clinic made me want to become a physical therapist to help athletes have a speedy recovery after injuries.
