I wish Id known about Dana sooner! After a couple of months of going from one specialist to another with no relief and no clear diagnosis, I made an appointment with her as a last ditch attempt to try find the source of my pain that had prevented me from running (and even walking at times). A personal experience. This is so important. Dana spent time talking to me on the phone prior to my first visit. She also made sure that I had various ways to contact her directly. At my first consultation it didnt take her long to find the source of the pain, discuss the causes, remedies and a treatment plan and get right to work. Dana is passionate about what she does and what I love is that as an athlete herself, she understands the psychological and emotional impact of an injury that keeps us from participating in the sport(s) we love. After a gait analysis and a detailed look at my running mechanics, she worked with me at the appointments, gave me exercises to do at home and followed up with me every step of the way. Within a week, I was pain free and a short while later I was transitioning back to running again. It is really refreshing to find someone who is not only good at what they do, but understands the effects of pain or injury on the daily routine of an athlete (or anyone else). Instead of treating symptoms, which up until I got in touch with her, had been the flavor of season for me, she got right to the cause. Dana then analyzed the possible causes of the injury and started working with me on fine tuning my mechanics to prevent a similar injury from recurring in the future. Not only is this fantastic from a recovery perspective, but it is also incredibly beneficial to me for my future training. I am a runner. Why would I not want to run more efficiently? I cannot recommend Dana highly enough. She is extremely knowledgeable, highly experienced, passionate about what she does and it shows in every aspect of the way she interacts with her clients. Most importantly, she knows what she is doing and gets results. I intend to consult with Dana not only for injuries (I hope I dont have any more!) but also for a tune-up and assessment after grueling races, long distances and any hard workout that leaves me uncertain about mechanical imbalances or alignment issues. If you are within any sort of reasonable driving distance from Lake Mary, it is worth the trip.

Dana Dambrauskas is an expert in her field. I was amazed at the personal attention and care she gave me which was one on one. When your hire Dana it is a personal session with you and her with no other distractions in the process. Prior to meeting her I had been treating at Florida Hospital in Lake Mary. There I actually spent 15 minutes with a certified Physical Therapist and the rest of the time they wanted me to do exercises and movements in their office during my one hour visit. After 7 visits it was clear I was not getting the correct care I needed at an very high price which I was paying them. It was evident that I was doing the exercises at home and I did not need them watching me do the activities in their office while I paid them. If you have a need for Physical Therapy, there is no one you can count on who is a true dedicated professional committed to your success than Dana at Transitions Physical Therapy. Her #1 goal is to treat her patients correctly in her state of the art practice and make them well as soon as possible. She is truly dedicated to her profession and it shows.

Dana is absolutely amazing. I signed up for her POSE running clinic to help with my running form and trying to stay injury free. I was extremely impressed so chose to enroll in her 5 class Intro to POSE running program. She spent the first session going over my running form and biomechanics and providing specific stretching techniques for my specific needs which was an eye-opener for me ... did you know you can have an issue with moving your big toe properly which can cause issues in your running :). The next four sessions were about strength training and form. I learned so much in these 5 sessions which I hope to continue to apply to my running and keep myself injury free and help with being a more efficient runner. On top of being super knowledgeable, she has an incredible personality and makes it all fun. I am thankful to have met Dana and worked with her.

When I first visited with Dana, I was experiencing heel pain but also needed to start training for a Super Sprint Triathlon that, in a fit of enthusiasm, I signed myself up for. The challenge was that I was a complete newbie to running. I had no experience with any sort of running and really no talent for it. Dana was able to help me on all fronts. She did a thorough analysis of my injury and my running gait, such as it was, provided strengthening and stretching exercises, then began me on my journey to learn the Pose method of running. This new method eliminated my excessive heel-striking and so allowed me to get started on my running plan while still working on addressing my injury. My first triathlon went so well, I came in second in my age group, and my heel pain is gone! A huge relief, many thanks to Dana! I wholeheartedly recommend her!

I cant say enough about this woman!!! I started working with Dana about 6 months ago. Initially I went to see her with a hip issue that I would have after running. During my first session she took a video of me running and concluded that i was overstriding which was causing my foot to strike the ground way out in front of my knee and this was the reason I was having hip pain. After just four sessions working with Dana on pose running techniques, running drills and strength training I no longer had hip pain. I have also seen a great improvement in my running For anyone who is new to running or like me never had a real understanding on what a good running form meant, I would highly recommend going to see Dana.

Dana is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate physical therapist. At the age of 44 I started to run and compete in triathlons and half maranthons. I suffered an injury early on and Dana designed a therapy program for me after my stress fracture to my left hip . She was patient and took her time to explain my injury & program to me. I found her to be attentive, encouraging and positive. She got me running pain free again!! A year later I now have a label tear, I immediately reached out to Dana and explained my new injury. Once again she proved to be experienced in this type of injury and Im currently be treated at Tranistional Physical Therapy. She got me running again pain free.

Dana is great! Coming from an athletic background I am mildly familiar with all types of PT and trainers. While trying to recover from a shoulder surgery that required repair of my labrum and rotator cuff, Dana was able to come up with a program to get me on track to recovery from both injuries despite the fact that traditional therapy options counteract each other during the process. My job is extremely physically demanding. If you take your recovery seriously, and your livelihood depends on your physical performance... I would suggest you skip the large assembly line physical therapy groups and go with the one on one attention to detail that Transitions Physical Therapy provides.
