I have been a long time patient with Sunnyvale Optometry and have seen their service deteriorate over the last few years. After ordering the latest glasses, I never received a call to let me know they were in the office. I finally just went to the office where the receptionist informed me they were in but made me wait 45 minutes until I finally went over to the glass center and the technician retrieved them for me. Over the past few years, scheduling is more arduous, waits are longer, and their push for profit over the patient is obvious (the appointments are lightening quick, and it feels like they are about to get a cattle prod out to move you along). This morning was the last straw. I called to make an appointment and was told by the receptionist that I could not make an appointment because our insurance provider now needed an employee ID (same employer for the past several years). I understand that they need new information but why not make the appointment and then sort out the requirement? We have been paying our bills for over a decade. Is that not enough to make an appointment? There are many optometrists in town, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I didnt like this place at all. I went here to Dr. Ichikawa, he made me try a dozen different contact lenses. I think a doctor should be capable of knowing what will suit your eye, at least approximately. In the end, I got fed up and got a pair of lenses from him for 3 months. He billed my insurance for the entire year. I never took the lenses for remaining 9 months because they were very uncomfortable. I even have the pairs for 3 months unused. I am not going back to this place.

Great experience. It is a much bigger Optometry office that I am used to since they have multiple doctors, but it made the experience really fast and painless. I highly recommend using Sunnyvale Optometry. I also ordered glasses from them and the experience was great. It was so much faster than usual and the woman who walked me through the process was very friendly, super clear about my options and I didnt feel like she was trying to upsell me which was really nice.

Weve always had excellent service here. Very friendly customer service, very thorough exams with a high level of professionalism throughout. I would only hesitate to recommend them because it might make them busier :-) As with restaurants, you have to think twice before dining in an empty one.

The optometrist and assistants were super nice and knowledgeable. However, they charge $60 for a "lens fitting test" after they confirmed over the phone that I was completely covered. Thats why I give them 3 stars.

I get the appointment based upon review rating. But I didnt find really awesome or excellent service. I mean to say if rating is 4.7 then service must be excellent. I think I had more expectation but It was ok.

Too busy to take good care of you. One time the lady owner skipped some exam cuz I was late for 10 min, but my usual wait time runs up to 10 min or more? Nice staff though, I could see the discipline there.
