Terrible experience. After waiting for a month for an emergency (!)appointment for a cavity, they switched the purpose of our visit to a cleaning. They refused to have our daughter seen by a doctor, and pushed for a cleaning instead. All the reasons they came up with were ridiculous. It feels like the typical garage business where they pull an extra buck from your pocket by all means, and not the decent office you would expect in Key Biscayne. After the response of the owner: Your polite and diplomatically formulated excuses are not accepted for the following reasons: 1) Our appointment was scheduled for a cavity and not for cleaning. We have never been in the situation of visiting a doctor and being refused the treatment. 2) The appointment was scheduled more than 1 month in advance exactly like all your other patients. 3) Your call to apologize was made proof of the same lack of courtesy for your patients as at the time of your visit. It is true that we are not dentists, hence we have no expertise in the field, but we can tell easily how a cavity looks like. As a result, same day we visited your competition, without an appointment, and confirmed what was clear from our point of view. There is no dentist office I have ever visited and who declined to serve or to be seen by a doctor. Poor practice. Pathetic excuses.

Very bad experience dealing with Insurance and Casa Smiles... Here it goes: At Casa Smiles I was confirmed by staff that procedure was cover at 90% by my insurance, happens it wasnt so ended up 2 months later with a bill to pay from Casa Smiles. I started an appeal through my Insurance which was denied. Long story short I ended up paying that bill. I find this very unprofessional since I was confirmed procedure was 90% covered by insurance to later find out that they had lied to me since insurance company told me they had not received any calls from them on the day of my procedure. What really irritates me is the attitude of Monica (Not sure what her title is at Casa Smiles), this person does not allow you to talk, every time you want to start a sentence she is already cutting you off with an irrelevant reply which makes you notice immediately the lack of customer service and customer appreciation. Very bad service, lack of communication (She said I should have known this!) lack of follow up, no responsibility shown nor empathy. Once again it just shows Customer is valued as money worth and not as a human being, DISAPPOINTING!!!
