I am extremely disappointed. When I went, I met the secondary physician doctor who missed to diagnose my flu and as a results it was left to further develop acute asthmatic bronchitic and misery, and the correct diagnosis was made by another doctor. Here are the details. I went to the medical center on a second day of coughing, high fever and joint pain. When the doctor (secondary physician; main doctor was on travel) came to the room, I felt he is unenthusiastic, but anyway he started the typical diagnosis (looking through ears, and listening to my chest, etc). To my surprise, he did not ask me to open my mouth and say "ahh", which is is a basic step for people who have respiratory problems. He then told me he will conduct some tests, but never told me what tests will be conducted. The nurse eventually took 5 blood samples and I was directed to another facility for X-ray. The fever developed aggressively in 3rd and 4th day without hearing back. I called the center, the staff said doctor got partial results and will call me. No body called, so I called them again on the 5th day; they promised the doctor will call but nothing happened. After 6 days of fever and intense coughing, I decided to go to another urgent care doctor. The new doctor told me that I look like I have the flu and he did an in lab test kit for flu and I tested positive, and he told me that I further developed acute asthmatic bronchitis because the flu went on without precautionary antibiotics. He told me "if you had came to the doctor in the first 2-3 days, you would have been far better". Sadly I did.

My teenage minor son and I went to the Primary Walk In Clinic today seeking treatment for an infection in a finger. Upon arrival the receptionist was very pleasant he gave us some forms to fill out the last of which was a form requesting my credit card information I approached him and asked calmly why do you need my credit card info when you have my Blue Cross card he stated they would charge my card for anything that my medical plan didnt cover and he reassured me that he was looking at my medical plan and that I had the best coverage and there wasnt any issues so once again I asked then why do you need my card? After going round and round with him I asked if I dont give you my credit card info are you going to treat my son he replied NO we are a private co. and can and will refuse to treat you if you dont give us the card info we get paid one way or another! It was late in the day and my son was in pain so I reluctantly gave him my credit card info then to add insult to injury he wouldnt take a check for my c opay I was pretty p.o. and paid the copay in cash. I should add that I wasnt dressed in a three piece suit I was wearing yard work attire and may have looked disheveled but he made me feel like I was a scumbag and it was a little humiliating however the Dr. who treated my son was great he drained the infection and we were on our way. Poor business practices but great service.

I had to find a walk in clinic when I was in the area for work because I wouldnt be able to get in to see my primary care for several more days. I noticed right from walking in that the ladies behind the desk were incredibly polite and helped me get a pre-approval from my insurance on the spot so I wouldnt get an enormous bill. I dont think I waited more than 10 minutes before Dr Vafidis came in, greeted me with a handshake (dont see that too often anymore). He was very thorough and efficient, all the while talking to me and not staring at a computer screen while asking questions like my old primary care did. I appreciated the fact that he EXPLAINED eveything to me regarding the tests that were needed and the potential treatment plan (again, something that doesnt happen that often anymore with busy primary care centers). The lab tech was polite and did her job very well, as did the medical assistant that checked me in. The setup of the clinical was awesome, and I was glad to see that there were actual doors for the rooms and not the sheet type curtains. All in all, it was a very calm and welcoming environment with friendly, helpful staff and a very efficient doctor. Its located in an area near 2 big name pharmacies and right off 195. After reading some of the more negative reviews, I cannot imagine how this place got less than 5 stars. Would definitely recommend it.

Dont be fooled. This is not a real urgent care. Disregard that it says URGENT CARE all over their goddamn website. I went here in March, and while the provider did a great job, the office staff is incompetent. Specifically whom ever is filing the claims. They submitted my visit as an office visit and not as a clinic visit. BCBS refused to cover it, and Primary Walk-in billed me for it. When i called up the woman I spoke with told me they were not an urgent care. She refused to resubmit the claim as a clinic visit as instructed by BCBS, and told me that I would need to pay the bill. Thankfully BCBS are not as idiotic as the people running the billing at Primary Walk-in, and they were willing to apply an exception to the claim. I truly wish there were another way to just not pay Primary Walk-in, because whomever is running the show there certainly does not deserve to profit from their customers cleaning up their mistakes. I certainly will never visit this place again. Good care shouldnt come with the run around.

I must take a moment to give Dr. Constantine Vafidis, MD, and all his Staff at Primary Walk-in Medical Center a FIVE STAR REVIEW!!! He had been my PCP at a prior facility, and because of not only his exceptional knowledge of so many different disciplines in Modern Medicine, but also the unparalleled Quality of Care he has always provided me (with my considerable medical complications). I followed him for continued practice as my PCP to his new, clean and easily accessible facility on Warren Ave, East Providence, and he has been my PCP for many years now. Furthermore, he has restored my faith in Doctors through his consistent excellent bedside manner and level of personal care! In fact, Id go so far as to say that, without hesitation, I am gratefully alive to write this review as a direct result of his care where other doctors completely failed me. And so I recommend both Family and Friends alike to his facility... 5 of 5 Stars!!! Yours Truly, Frederic Pockar

My top choice for primary care and urgent care from now on - for me AND my family. Came here for the first time a while back for an injury at work and after my superb experience here, I told my family back home to only come here for future healthcare needs. I was seen promptly, treated very respectfully (entire staff is super nice!!), got all the tests I needed right there in-house without wasting any time, and was sent home with all the right instructions & prescriptions to get me back up and working the next day. Since then Ive started following with Dr. Vafidis regularly for my primary care because I just cant imagine any other doctor watching out for my health as well. Seriously, he makes decisions for me like Im a member of his family. A few of my family members have been here too for various illnesses and injuries, and have had similarly fantastic experiences. What a lucky find on my part - this is a really special place.
