Weve been going to this place for almost a year now and, unfortunately, as of today will be looking for a new vet due to the lack of communication and care on the part of the office staff and the poor customer service provided by the manager, Missy. Ive been trying to get my dogs seizure medicine filled since early in the week and The Medicine Shoppe said they had reached out twice to get the prescription refilled and received no response so I called Bijou today to check on it since my dog is now down to only two doses left. I spoke with Missy and, judging by the wait time for her to see if they had received the request from The Medicine Shoppe, they had not even look at their requests. She finally came back on and said they did receive the request the day before so, apparently, they didnt check the requests yesterday or so far today. Then she proceeds to tell me they will only do a partial refill b/c my dog needs a $176 test to continue on the meds. Weve been multiple times since we started with them and the test was recommended in April but we were never told she HAD to have to test or else they would stop issuing prescriptions. If that were the case, we would have done during one of the multiple visits since then. She tried to say it wasnt a big deal and I just needed to bring her in to have blood drawn. Not caring at all when I explained my frustration at this considering the medicine I need is for seizures that can be induced by stressful situations ... like going to the vet and having blood drawn. Actually, she completely cut me off when I was trying to explain that. Missys tone was condescending (at one point she called me "hon". Im a 31 year old woman not a little girl.) and very rude. Instead of trying to understand why I was upset about the situation, she just kept trying to turn it all into my fault and interrupting me. The vets at this facility are great. I have absolutely no complaints about them, however, we will be finding a new vet for both of our dogs specifically due to the poor customer service from Missy.

I had the most horrible experience of my life here! By far! I was so excited to find a new vet for my 3 English Bulldogs 2 were puppies I just got. I had spent the whole week there getting my new puppies 9 week & 10 Weeks old established there. I also have a 7 year old. My puppies need a simple deworming as well so I had to come in and out getting fecal exams. I was over charge for 6 medications when I only needed 2! Over $60 overcharge! They never called and told me about it, when I went in to get my refund (Which they rudely admitted too, and didnt even apologize) The most unprofessional & Rudest person I have ever meet was a lady manager with short blond hair. She would NOT refund my money! I told her over and over to give me my money so I could leave and NOT come back with my dogs, the POLICE were called and ONLY then did she give me my money back! She would not let me speak with anyone else there BUT her. I even asked for the owner and she mimicked and laughed at me and said "no he is busy".. This happened last week and I completely expected the owner to call and personalty apologize and he DID NOT! I could have pressed charges on the unprofessional horrible lady and I didnt. I would NEVER EVER advise anyone to go to this horrible vet! They did not care about my dogs best interest at all! They only care about stealing money from you and then be rude and ugly. I dont even know how this place is in business treating people like that. :( I also have proof of all receipts and police report.

I have an 11 year old english setter who is my best friend, problem is, he likes to eat socks. I suspected he ate a sock because of how he was acting, so we took him to the emergency vet, since it was after hours. They did x-rays and determined he didnt have an obstruction. He got worse, to the point he wouldnt stand up. The next day (a saturday) we took him to our regular vet, Dr. Willhoit and Dr. Bausch. They were very concerned. They took their own x-rays and said it was clear he had an obstruction, and the prognosis wasnt good. My wife and I were devastated, he truly is a member of our family. They told us that the only option was to try and operate (which at this point was about 1:00 on a saturday afternoon). They operated and were able to remove the sock without any damage. They stayed late to continue taking care of him, this place is fantastic. We have been using this office for years, in fact, my entire family uses them. The fees are totally reasonable and everyone from the front office to the doctors are so kind. They always get us in immediately if its urgent. This is the only vet I would ever use. Thank you guys so much, I cant wait to introduce our soon to be born daughter to my best friend, I wouldnt have been able to without you.

5/25/2017 This vet is a hack. I went to them looking to get my dog vaccinated. I was curious if his stomach bug he had the night before would make that problematic for vaccinating him right now. The vet goes on and on about her personal campaign against parvo. "Were going to test you dog for parvo because its very common for pits like him". My dog is not a pit mix, hes Chesapeake Lab and Australian Shepard thank you very much. So she comes back to tell me my dog has parvo after "the machine detected it before it fully fired the test up". Vets words not mine. "You need to hospitalize him here which will run you over a $1,000 for everything." I took my dog and left calling her a bigot towards large dogs and a hack. She then sent animal police to my home to further harass me. They met my dog and could tell he wasnt near fatally ill with parvo. My dog still doesnt have parvo. This office markets like a massage parlor. Pretty faces at the counter and then a big russian bear comes out to treat you and your animal like lower lifeforms. Just to sell you treatment your animal doesnt need. I plan to speak with my attorney about this practice. 5/30/2017 Status update 5 days later and still no parvo and still being harassed by this clinic.

Ive had excellent experience with the staff here and they take amazing care of my pet... Once they get to you. The reasons for my 3 stars is that their wait times (with an appointment) are outrageous. Ive been taking my puppy here for vaccinations. The first visit is a wellness exam and the vaccine. We arrived about 10 minutes before our first appointment and we didnt get in to see the vet for an HOUR AND A HALF. The most annoying part was that every single person who came in during that hour and a half were taken care of almost immediately (whats the point of making an appointment?!) The second shot is done by a vet tech and we were told it would be a quick procedure. Again we arrived on time for our appointment and it took them nearly 40 minutes for us to get out. Only about 5 of which we spent with the vet tech. I dont recommend going on a day when you have things to do. Who knows how long youll be there.
