I purchased my 10 week old puppy from Boulder Humane Society in which they offer a FREE vet exam. I picked Summer Valley Vet Clinic out of the 12 vets listed by Boulder Humane Society as I have NEVER been there before and my vet wasnt listed. Little did I know I would be CHARGED an office visit because my pet was showing signs of being "sick" I was told that if I did a well visit then there would be no charge for the office visit. The vet stated she had a runny noise and perscribed her meds. I took my SICK pet rabbit to Smoky Hill Vet Clinic in which it was a FREE office visit because I have not been there before. The ONLY thing I had to pay for was the medication!! My puppy is due for shots in a few weeks and I will NOT be back to this vet. A FREE pet exam is a free pet exam and no office charge should be added to any medication needed!!!!!!!!!! I read the Free Wellness Exam from the booklet provided by Boulder Humane Society and it clearly states the FREE exam does not include any additional tests, administrative costs, vaccines, medications, or treatments.

We found this clinic after going to five different vets for our 7 1/2 year old doberman/lab mix who was not eating. Unfortunately, we had to put our dog down yesterday due to large mass (cancer) on his small intestines. on our first visit, two weeks ago, we were treated with respect and compassion. Dr. Walters came up with different ideas to help feed our dog and make him comfortable. We found out yesterday after an ultrasound of his serious condition and the staff at Summer Valley called and had us come in even before we were out of the parking lot of the location of the ultrasound. The staff was full of love and compassion for us and Breck during this trying time as he was being euthanized. We need more vets that CARE like Dr. Walters... I recommend this clinic for any and all needs that you need for your pet!

Three years ago, we moved to Aurora from the Douglas Co. area and desired to establish our needed services locally. Summer Valley Veterinary Clinic has been such a wonderful part of our transition. They have such a delight for what they do and it shows in their care for their clients - both animals and people. They understand that theirs is a noble calling and they serve well! Hard work, both in the years of preparation for their vocations to the present daily carrying out of their quality care mark their practice. But it is the way they serve, with great kindness and compassion, that has won our hearts. We still drive to Parker for a wonderful dentist we have not found a replacement for, but we are "at home" at Summer Valley. Thank you all!

I have been going to Dr. Fetter since the late 80s with my Golden Retriever Balou! She lived to be 13 and then my Great Pyrenees Samson also lasted 13 years! I was lucky to have them both for so long (although to me it was way too short) and Summer Valley took great care of them both while they were here. Now I have another Pyrenees and he is 3 yrs. old. The girls there are wonderful and always greet me and my pet with happy smiles. You can tell they truly love animals and Dr. Fetter is so kind and gentle I wish he was a people doctor! I took my trio here for the first time today and it was a great experience. I got put into an exam room right away and they were very patient with my girls. Especially Sky is very nervous at the vet. My girl Saba usually hates the vet as well, but she was showering the Dr and the assistant with kisses. And well Sage, she did great for a first full thorough exam. She ended up sleeping on the floor. And when Sage barked at them, they just laughed and made me feel good about them. They showed me that they really do care about the animals and they know their stuff. We have an official vet now. Dr. Fetter was great.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy and helpful Summer Valley Veterinary Clinic was in setting a workable schedule and then keeping it almost to the minute. Very reasonable prices, the staff was super friendly and the doctor was helpful, informative and provided great advice. They didnt perform services that werent appropriate or before they were due. And because the kitten I brought in was rescued from probable malnutrition and likely worse, she didnt even charge for the initial exam!! I/we will continue to use Summer Valley Vet Clinic even though other Vets are closer!

Our beloved Libby has been a patient of Dr. Walters since she was about 5 months old. Shes almost 13 now. Libby is a Golden Retriever and we love her like a daughter. I can say without any hesitation that shes in excellent hands with Summer Valley. The level of care, and caring, is the highest possible. Were always treated with respect and genuine concern for Libbys well being. I can be a little over the top with my parental concerns and the staff always puts my fretting at ease. I cant imagine taking our girl anywhere else. I only wish I could get such good medical care.

I love Summer Valley!! Ive been a customer for over a decade and wouldnt choose any vet clinic because they treat my puppers like I treat my puppers: like family. I used to have an AmStaff mix, which most people shy away from due to the horrible reputation, but they saw her like I did as a wonderful family pet. When I had to have Isis euthanized at home due to an aggressive cancerous tumor, Summer Valley sent me a condolence card to express their sympathy. Their care for animals truly demonstrates how they are as people: wonderful. I highly recommend Summer Valley.

NO PRESSURE~~~ to purchase services just wonderful caring doctors and staff. You can get a appt without much of a wait usually same day you call they will try to work you in. Wonderful advice. Helpful when you need to make some of those difficult decisions. Fair prices. Been there to lay a 16 yr old Shepherd Mix to rest and to start off a new puppy on his life. Couldnt have been more supportive. Also honest when a pet should forego treatment because of age. Cant say enough good things about this practice. Joan Dillon and Mia, Zoey, Corey and Finnegan

I have two dogs, one of which is constantly having upset stomach and diarrhea. Constantly having mucus and blood in stools. I have taken him in to this clinic several times, each time they havent really cared about the issue but would gladly prescribe me some pills that temporary alleviated the problem. Each time the result and the general diagnosis was inconclusive. Dont get me wrong, they are nice enough people BUT at the end of the day I still have a sick dog with no real result to speak of. I doubt the competency of this place to be honest.
