We have been going here ever since Dr.Eckles has run the practice. The other day we took our dog in because of bleeding from the private area. First off, we learned that the practice has d been bought by another doctor. The waiting area was dull and awkwardly silent. We werent seen by the receptionist for at least 10 minutes. As we were waiting we could hear Dr.Spiro talking to another patient about their dog. He sounded VERY unsure of himself which started to make my wife and I feel uncomfortable before we went back to see him. Once we went back to see him, he did a very basic exam and when I say basic I mean an exam that I literally did at home myself. He didnt even bother to check her temperature. After checking her for not even one minute he gave us three options of what it could be. All three of which were ridiculous. He didnt have any supplies and didnt seem like hes gone through his inventory. As we were leaving we felt it was very unfair to have pay for a $50 office visit/exam which we performed at home before we came in. We had to end up taking our dog to an emergency animal hospital because of incompetence. We will not be coming back to cottage. Its really upsetting to see what this place has turned into.

Being newer to the area its been difficult to find a good vet but Im so glad we found Dr. Spiro at Cottage Vet. We went in for an exam on my 3 dogs and he was great with my chihuahua who is very nervous and fearful. He answered ALL of the questions that I had and was very honest with what he thought was the best route for us. (we talked about lumps and bumps on my old girl and those pesky knee caps on the chihuahua) We had our dental appointment set up for a week later and they did an amazing job on my 5lb chi and 12yr old corgi. This is huge for me as I get really anxious about putting my critters under anesthesia due to weight and due to age. VERY fair pricing and a lot of options too that put my mind at ease. I cant say enough about how great our experience has been with Dr. Spiro.

I was needing to put my dog to sleep and called to get information about euthanasia and individual cremation. The receptionist was extremely rude and cold towards me. She also put me on hold multiple times. She dodged my questions and told me that costs changed from doctor to doctor and day to day. After asking her multiple times if her facility offered individual creamation and what it would cost she snapped the answer at me before hanging up. I called back a few minutes later to ask another question. I was put on hold for five minutes before I hung up. Very insensitive and unprofessional. I would never take my baby to them. If they treated me like that on the phone, how would they treat my dog durring and after his final moments?

I was so disappointed after bringing my dog here. When I set up his appointment I asked the receptionist how much just a check-up would be and she proceeded to tell me it was free. When I got there I had to wait about an hour after the scheduled time. Then Dr. Matthew did a vague "check-up", left the room, then came back with 5 different things he said my dog needed without even discussing it with me before hand, and sent me out the door. Completely rushed and unprofessional. My total ended up being over $120. I read the reviews on Google before going but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt but I clearly made a mistake.

I havent brought my dogs in there, but I brought some fecal samples for them to send out to the lab for a giardia test. They told me how much its going to cost, and how long Ill have to wait (1-2 days). Almost 3 weeks later I finally got results with a bill for 4 tests, because they admittedly sent it out for the wrong test the first time and asked me to bring another fecal sample in. In the end I paid 3 times more than initially quoted, and when asked why I have to pay for their mistake they rudely made it sound like its 100% my fault. So I paid and left, will never be back.

Great vet care if you dont mind the office (clean but dated). Yes, it does smell, but its a vet... its supposed to. The real gems at Cottage are the vet and techs. They are caring, responsive and professional. They dont push unnecessary life-extending treatments to make a buck like other vets that I have had the displeasure of using. Bottom line is if you want to go to a real vet that wont jack you around and doesnt look at you as a revenue stream, but rather is genuinely concerned for your animals well-being, go to Cottage.

We have been going to Cottage Vet for 15 plus years. Our experience has always been positive and a true compassion for our pets has been the norm. At present we have a pug that has degenerative back issues. We called at 10:00 last Saturday morning and were given an 11:00 appointment. They didnt want her to have a bad weekend. We went to a different vet in Aurora which was closer to our house. We went about 3 times and decided it was time to go back to Cottage. We will stay with them for as long as we have dogs.

I will not recommend this vet to anyone. A new vet has taken over the practice and he is AWFUL. His name is Matthew Spiro. I had the worst experience with him today treating my dog. I was horrified at how he treated my injured dog and appalled at his attitude and lack of professionalism toward me. It used to be such a warm and loving place for my pups, clearly not the case now. Its evident to me why all of the office staff is gone. If you were considering taking your pet here, spare your pet and yourself the misery!

I called a week ago Friday to schedule an emergency appointment for my cat. According to the voicemail, I was calling during business hours and 5 minutes after they were supposed to be back from lunch. The voicemail said someone would return my call within 1 hour. Its been 10 days, and no return call. Cat would be dead and buried if I had waited for them. Business must be booming if they can blow off new customers. I wont be calling again.

Took my Boo Kitty in today and the new doctor, Matthew Spiro was so kind and personable and treated my 14 year old with a UTI blockage with respect. Explained disease, explained procedure and quoted me a very reasonable cost.....The staff was great, too. Very friendly to me. So far, I am very happy that I took my kitty to them...will pick him up this afternoon and see how he fares.

I have know Dr. Spiro since my german shepard was a pup. Fast, efficient and genuinely interested in making the visit pleasant. He found a heart murmur in my cat that other vets missed. Low cost dental and first and foremost a very professional, pleasant and affordable Veterinary Hospital. I drive 20 miles to Old Town Parker because Dr. Spiro is the only one I trust with my pets.
