My family vet recommended this vet because they offer sedation for grooming. I have taken my dog there on several occasions with no issues; however, my last visit was a terrible experience for me and my pet. My dog went in for a bath, toe nail clip, and partial shave. When I got him home, I discovered that he had not been brushed out and was matted all over his body. I called the next day to complain and ask for restitution on my $104 bill. The doctor did speak to me personally and asked me to bring him back so they could rectify the situation. Later that day, the doctor called me back to give me an update. First, he complained that my dog wasnt cooperative and I said yes, thats why I pay you for sedation. Next, he berates me and tells me that he should have been sent to a groomer. He then tried to tell me that my dog was matted prior to bringing him in. I told him that was not the case because I had brushed him out the night before I brought him in. He then proceeded to say that I was a liar because my animal was matted to the skin and that couldnt have happened from one bath and if I had tried to brush him that his fur would have been torn away from the skin. If that had been the case, you would think that this would have been disclosed to me the first day. In the sake of fairness, my golden retriever does have very thick hair on his back legs and under his tail that matts easily and that is why I had requested a pantie line shave. Again, this doctor took a rude tone and explained that a sanitary shave was only around the rectum. I told him that it was his staff that made that error because I had requested a pantie line shave that had been done on prior visits and his reply was, whatever. At this point in our conversation, I was done with his cover up or incompetence and asked when my dog would be ready. When I picked him up, he had been properly bathed and brushed out; however, he had several bleeding razor nicks. I will never be sure if this was accidental or retaliatory. I am sure that my pet will never go to him again and I will contact my family vet to stop referrals!

VERY RUDE STAFF AND UNKNOWLEAGEABLE VET!!!! Jeya G. 1 Country Brook Animal Hospital Pls do not go to this clinic. The staff at the front desk - FAT Jen and Jennifer are very very rude. They have no professionalism. Sitting around bullshiting and the moment a client arrives, they are not interested to do their job and treat us very rudely because they are not interested to work. They are lazy bumps!!!! Both Pipes and the 2 front desk staff have displayed racial discrimination against colored people. Besides, he is not a good vet. If you want a vet to just give shots, he might be cheaper but thats all he is good for. If your dog has any illness, pls dont take them there because he have no idea. He will only make the illness for your dog worst!!! Whatever reviews you see must be written by his family and friends to sell him. You will know the truth when you visit him and his rude staff (Jen and Jennifer). Seems like his relatives are working in the office as their staff. They are very disrespectful. Tehy need to set up their office in the boonies!!! Once I took my dog who was diagnosed with cancer and I requested for him to take an x-ray to check if the cancer spread to her lungs - he was clueless and did not want to do any x-ray. I just wasted my money and time in that office. PLS DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME IN THIS CLINIC - HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!!!!

First of, I have been a client of Dr. Pipes for roughly 25 years and this man. THIS MAN...LOVES your animals. I have never in my life ever heard of any other vet care about your animal as he does. My Trixie had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis - which is very severe - when I brought her in, she was listless and passing blood at an alarming rate. I seriously thought I was going to lose her right on the table. In swoops Dr. Pipes - they hospitalized her for 4 days. He was calling me personally twice a day every day telling me her status. I was able to pick her up the end of the 4th day and let me tell you - Ive heard other vets charging an astronomical fee - it easily would have cost well over $1,000. My fee? It was $439. I mean. WOW. 4 days of constant care. There is a special place in heaven for this angel of a man and his staff. These people care about your animals like nobody else can. My only fear is one day he will retire. He is truly priceless. Thank you very much Dr. Pipes and staff!

I have been going to Dr. Pipes and the whole gang for over 3 years!!! They are excellent and always know how to work in stressful situations. Now dont expect to go there when the place is full and get 1st class treatment because that is NOT going to happen, but I have been there when it wasnt packed and they are all so helpful and I absolutely love them and Dr. Pipes. One thing that I love is they are always busy 99% of the time that I have been there and they allow you to go in sign in and give them a phone number to contact you 15 min before your appt. I love that because I live 10 min away so I can go home work on the house, do whatever and get a call and almost always I have no wait time when I walk I think the longest wait one time was 5 minutes after my arrival. The point is if you want someone that is truly passionate about pets and not out to rob you of every dollar because he truly loves animals and doesnt want to charge an arm and leg go to Dr. Pipes he is the best!

I took my very loved cat, Tiger, here today. This place is awesome. I called 6 other places that basically laughed me off the phone when I asked about payment plans and told them I couldnt get approved for care credit. I was referred here by one of those places. When I called they were very polite and sweet and completely sympathetic to my situation. I brought my cat in knowing he was very sick with a bladder infection. They got us in within the hour although, I wouldve waited no matter what. The doctor, Dr. Pipes, was so kind and did no unnecessary tests because he didnt feel like he needed it. He gave him a shot and meds for home and assured me that if we had any problems to come right back. The women at the desk helped me split the payment and were just so kind. Tiger is finally sleeping better and feeling better. I would recommend these wonderful people to anyone. Who cares about the wait time when these people actually care about our pets? Thank you so much!

I have been going to Dr.Pipes for over 18 years...i would not take my furry children to any other Dr. He is educated, straight forward, tells it how it is, no sugar coating, does not try to do test or meds unless necessary. I have had 13 cats in my last 23 years and all were treated by him. He personally calls and continues to call until the animal is out of harms way. I also fostered for an animal league and he was very helpful with working with us and treated a stray the same and my furry children. I have fostered over 100 kittens and cats in my volunteering. HE IS ALSO GREAT WITH DOGS. The wait is long but worth it. I do not go because he is reasonable......i go because he is the best vet i have ever visited and tried a few different ones in my lifetime. I could go on and on Sheryl Young Garland, Texas Not any professionl can please everyone all the time and we are only human but his record proves he is at the top of the list for vets.
