OK, SO IM JUST GOING TO START BY SAYING I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO RATE THIS PLACE AS ONE STAR. I TOOK MY DOG IN JUST LAST WEEK FOR A MOUTH EXAM BECAUSE SHE HAS A BIT OF TARTAR BUILDUP AND I WAS GOING TO GO AHEAD AND HAVE THEM CLEANED. SO, AFTER THE EXAM I RECEIVED A VERY EXPENSIVE QUOTE AND ALSO LEARNED THAT SHE WOULD NEED LAB WORK DONE TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK BEFORE SHE WOULD BE PUT UNDER ANESTHESIA. OK COOL. THEN TWO DAYS LATER I GET A CALL SAYING MY DOG HAS HEART WORMS!!!! I FREAK OUT, CRY, AND START WEIGHING MY OPTIONS KNOWING IT WOULD BE EXPENSIVE. I TELL MY MOM THE NEWS AND SHE SAID SHE HAD TAKEN A PREVIOUS DOG OF OURS THERE AND THEY TOLD HER THE SAME THING THEN SHE RETESTED THE DOG AT ANOTHER VET AND CAME BACK NEGATIVE! SHE SAID " I DONT TRUST THEM AT ALL! I WOULD HAVE A SECOND OPINION IF I WERE YOU! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!" I TOOK MY MOMS ADVICE AND COME TO FIND OUT SHE WAS RIGHT! THANKFULLY MY DOG IS CLEAN AND IS A HEALTHY HAPPY GIRL! BUT I AM FURIOUS WITH THIS PLACE! I WILL NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY! HOW DARE THEY PLAY WITH SOMEONES LIFE LIKE THAT?! I LOVE MY DOG TO DEATH AND WHEN THEY TOLD ME I BROKE DOWN!!!! I BLAMED MYSELF AND GOT ALL WORKED UP BUT FOR WHAT NOTHING!!!!! I WILL MAKE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW WITH A FUR BABY NOT TO GO HERE!!!!

We were going to board our two dogs there during the fourth of July weekend. They informed us our dogs needed the flu shot in order to be boarded. After taking one of our dogs in for him to get his annual checkup/shots, we also told him we needed to get the flu shot for the boys as well. He informed us that in order for it t to take effect they would need a shot not only now but in 3 weeks as well, that enough of it wouldnt be in their system for it to be effective. He also stated that he doesnt offer it and refuses to offer it because he feels as if its a scam. We called the VCA to tell them what our vet had said. Eventually a technician named Janet got on the phone and basically said the same thing about after the second shot it would be effective for a year. I stated if thats the case why do we need the flu shot now if its not fully in their system . She said its just required and that would be a question the doctor would have to answer. I told her to cancel our reservation. I dont know if this is a good veterinarian or not but I do feel its unethical to require something that wont even take effect while your pet is there.

We followed Dr. McMahon from the VCA Lindley practice in Old Lake Highlands in Dallas to VCA Beltline East in Sunnyvale. Its worth the drive because we couldnt be happier with her and the kind staff. Dr. McMahon is very knowledgeable and will tell it like it is. Shes given us the gift of more time with our 15 year old schnauzer Bosco. I thought for sure we were going get a euthanasia recommendation a few months ago when we brought him in unable to walk straight, falling, etc. but Dr. McMahon recognized an inner ear infection that could have easily been mistaken for an array of conditions youd feel justified in putting a geriatric dog down for. With her recommendations and antibiotics he was back to his old self in a week. Veterinary Medicine is not a perfect science, the patients cant tell you the symptoms or where it hurts. Were grateful for Dr. McMahon and the staff at VCA Beltline East.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed and outraged with this place! Do yourself a favor and find another vet now!!! They did not go above and beyond to find the cause of what was going on with my cat. They were so sure she had a rodent ulcer. I had taken my cat in to see the vet 4 different times over a 2 month period or so and was told "well try and switch her food maybe she has an allergic reaction to it" because what they thought was a rodent ulcer was not going away, in fact it got bigger, even after steroid shots and antibiotic shots. That should have been obvious to the Vet that clearly it was something else!!!! But NO!!! I was not going back there so I found a different vet and last night we found out it was cancer. I am beyond upset with the whole situation! I am heart broken!!! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THE VCA ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!!

Everytime I come here I have never felt like they were trying to charge me to much, other vets will tell me my dog needs all these tests & things cuz they cant figure out whats wrong & then they slap a huge unreasonable bill before they even talk about treatments, Dr Nightengale narrows it down w/o charging me for a bunch of tests, discusses treatment options & their prices, treats my dog right away & always calls me back to talk about my concerns & doesnt try to scare me into more expensive care. Ive also always been treated well by the ladys up front

My 2 daughters and I went to vca because the 4 week old kitten we had been taking care of was dying. We rang the bell on the side of the building and it was answered by a callous man in scrubs. He wouldnt even let us in nor even look at the kitten that my crying children were holding. He simply said he didnt think that they could do anything. I went 3 miles up beltline to another place where compassionate professionals euthanized her free of charge. I will never recommend vca to anyone

From the friendly front desk staff to the technicians and vets, VCA is a really nice place to take your pets. Appointments are easy to book and Ive never waited longer than 10 minutes to be seen. The waiting room and exam rooms are always clean. The vets who have examined my dog are caring and good at communicating their recommendations for his care. VCA strikes a great balance between professionalism and warmth that I like when I go to any doctor -- whether for my children or my pets.

Everyone from the receptionist to the vet was caring, compassionate, and very patient while we had to make the hardest decision weve ever had to make. We drove a long way to get there, and they were unfortunately not able to save our beloved puppy, but they supported us, stood by us while we came to a decision, and waited for the rest of the family to come and have a chance to say goodbye before putting her down in the most humane way possible. They were the best anyone could ask for.

This was the worst vet ever!!!! Very rude and showed no compassion for animals!!! More Passionate about money than animals. My dog had a serious emergency and would not check him out unless I gave them 950.00 first. Paola Lazaretti should be ashamed of her self...Worst vet I have ever met!!!! Down right sorry!! Found another vet close by who cared about my pets health.

Walked in , loved the energy in this place, was taken straight back , did wait for awhile but then again we did get there 30mins early so it did not bother us. Loved our vet and the office staff very friendly and you can tell they truly have love for animals! Overall very very happy with the care we received. Will recommend to all friends and family.
