This so called "professionally trained" veterinary clinic is untrustworthy.Me and my grandmothers 17 yo cat (which was her best friend and mine too) was taken up there for just a basic check up.We never took him in for rabies shot when he was younger (the cat) because he was strictly indoors and hardly ever certain into contact with any other animals.Anyways, She said he was healthy for his age but needed a rabies shot that was required by law.So my grandmother said ok and scheduled an appointment the following week. After he received his shot he became horribly ill and died right in front of us not even a week later..This so called "caring professional" never told us that past a certain age animals arent suppose to get vaccinated for rabies because their bodies and immune system cant handle it, And most of the time it causes death. She also never told us that we had the right to refuse the vaccination. She didnt even bother to tell us the risks of my cat receiving a rabies shot. She was a licensed vet and KNEW FOR A FACT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN AND NOW WE LOST A LOVED AND CHERISHED PART OF THE FAMILY THAT SHE CAN NEVER REPLACE..My cats death is on HER hands..So please if you truly care about your animal, Dont take them to that vet.Because even if its a small chance of your pet getting ill or mistreated, Why take it?This vet is only in it for the money. Her name is DONNA BAER.Shes an older, Heavy set Caucasian lady with glasses..Please from one pet lover to another, Dont risk it.

I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE ...ONLY AT ALLEY CATS UNDER THE CARE OF DR.BOHANAN ...MY CAT SYLVESTER HAS LIVED CONTENTLY WITH THE FIV VIRUS SINCE 2012, HE RECENTLY DEVELOPED A CANCEROUS TUMOR THAT WAS REMOVED... WHEN HE RETURNED HOME, HE WAS ACTIVE AND INDEPENDENT....AFTER HIS DIAGNOSIS, HIS PRIIMARY VET..DR. KAHN ADVISED AGAINST ANY FORM OR VACCINATION AFTER HIS FIV DIAGNOSIS....WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION...DR. BOHANON GAVE SYLVESTER HIS RABIES AND OTHER VACCINATIONS AND NOW HIS KIDNEYS ARE FAILING !!! THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS PREVIOUS CONDITION, AND HE HAS BEEN AT A STEADY DECLINE EVERY SINCE...I MENTIONED THIS TO BOTH DR.S AND WAS TOLD "IT COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT ...BUT IT COULD BE SOOOO MANY THINGS....FURTHERMORE...THE ONLY THING DR. BOHANON COULD SAY WHEN I TOOK HIM IN ON MONDAY MARCH 9TH WAS ... " HES DYING"...WELL I GUESS SO ...YOU TRIED TO KILL HIM ! UNTIL THOSE SHOTS ...SYLVESTER WAS AGING GRACEFULLY... DR. BOHANON REFERRED TO SYLVESTER AS HONORY ...IT MAY HAVE MORE TO DO WITH HIS VETERINARY PRACTICE THAN SYLVESTER !!!!! COMMON SENSE AND RECORDS AND THE FACT HE WAS NOT AUTHORIZED TO VACCINATE SYLVESTER IS ENOUGH FOR ME... AT THE TUNE OF 500.00 I EXPECTED MY CAT TO GET BETTER ... NOT WORSE...AND FOR HIM TO HAVE COMMON VETERINARY SENSE DESPITE HIS ARROGANCE OF 35 YRS OF PRACTICE... I CANT TELL. DR. KAHN HAS ALWAYS SYLVESTERS BEST INTEREST AT HEART... UNFORTUNATELY THE MOTIVES OF DR. BOHANON ARE QUESTIONABLE.

I had 7 dogs when we started going to Dr. Bohanan in 2006. His staff is so kind and caring; I feel like family when I go in. Dr. B is straightforward and tells it like it is. He doesnt make me feel guilty because I cant spend thousands of dollars to treat my "kids". Even as he is straightforward, he is caring and clearly has the best interest of my dogs in his heart. He was wonderful as my 16 year old lab began suffering seizures and we eventually had to make the sad but right decision to let him go painlessly. He was again wonderful as we worked to keep my 5 year old irish wolfhound mix pain-free in the final stages of hip dysplasia. 3 of my 5 remaining dogs are now 11 years old and I know as we move into their golden years, Dr. Bohanan will be able to help them keep going, and in doing so he will help me keep going, as well.

This vet doesnt vaccinate properly! I took my cat in to get his paw checked and fixed. He had snagged it in something and ripped it. The vet kept him overnight to vaccinate, neuter him and fix his paw. They saw and commented about some scratches on him from fighting with other cats. They knew he was an outside cat! Took him in this past August to update his shots. I took him to the VCA last week because my cat was sick. It was an emergency! I had to put my cat to sleep, at the age of 3 because they failed to give him his leukemia shot and thats what was wrong with him!! Lancaster vet didnt even mention that he was not vaccinated against it, and they clearly knew he was an outdoor cat! They made remarks about him shuffling with other cats! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! EXPENSIVE AND THEY REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL!

I left my dog for four days Thursday- Sunday , when I picked him up on Monday 8am, he is all dirty with poop. The tech said that he had pooped in his crate Sunday night and offered to clean his feet. Of course he was still dirty so I gave him a bath when we got home and discovered that he had some infection on his nose and face but when I asked the girl in the front she said everything was great with my dog. They lied on my face telling me everything was great but my dog was so exhausted, got some infection on his face, full of poop when I picked him up, and fed him with a different food. I really believed that they did not took him out since Saturday after their office hours. Please do not bring youre four legged friend on this place.

I recently had to change Vets due to our normal vet retiring due to illness. I checked out several in the area to start taking our "kids" to. Dr. Bohanan and his staff are far superior. We had our first visit with one of our dogs just recently and she reacted to him immediately. She was calm and relaxed, and the manner in which Dr. B interacted with her and us was very professional, caring and considerate. He is not a Vet out to gouge you in the pocketbook as he always looks for cost conscienous options rather than jumping into expensive treatments. His staff is very attentive and considerate. The mood of the clinic is immediate when you walk in. They enjoy being there. We made a great choice.

My daughter and I left our two dogs there overnight. when we picked them up we noticed her dog limping. She went right back in and was told by the lady at the desk " well, she was fine last time i took her out". She then said, we could take her for an exray but there was bo Vet there now so we need to go down the road to another Vet and she was not sure what it might cost us. What? You broke her but you want me to pay to fix it? Youre an animal clinic and you dont care that a dog was hurt in your care? We also paid $16 each to have their nails trimmed and that did not get done.

I love this vet! I found them after I moved to Lancaster a couple of years ago and they are really great people. Their pricing is more than fair (Im used to Dallas vets) and its obvious the doctors and staff love animals and know a lot about them. They have helped my companions stay healthy, and they did a great job patching up a cat that I rescued after a fight. Even the people in the waiting room are kind and friendly - I actually adopted a kitten from one of them! Go. It is money well spent.
