I love and trust this vet and staff, I have seen Dr. Paulson for at least 20 years even before Ridgetop opened while he was still in Bremerton. Sometimes I have cheated to go somewhere closer but have never found anybody I like more so we end up right back here. I have always found him direct, easy to talk to and he always gives us options in care for us to decide what one will work best or fit into our budget. I have had many pets over the years and he has done many surgeries on my pets such as a cat with hip dysplasia, many spays and neuters, fixed numerous nose/skin/ears/eye troubles because I have a fondness for squishy faces and even removed a round rock from my dogs intestine that was blocking it. I have always found him to be up to date with information and I trust him 100%. I have never felt he overcharged or over diagnosed to make $$. I cheated on Dr. Paulson earlier in the year with another vet to save $$ on a spay(I should have not done this, it was a French Bulldog but I really didnt think such a routine procedure could turn out so bad and Ridgetops spay included lots of things that the other vet did not) and the clinic (Bayview in Bremerton) called shortly after the spay to tell me that my dog went through the spay just fine but died after from missing a breath. I was truly devastated and I have to say that even though I took my dog to another vet, Ridgetop grieved with me, sent me a condolence card and the Dr. Paulson called and comforted me while I was sobbing on the phone. The staff was so good to me through this and I really cant express how thankful I was knowing that it wasnt even their office that caused my situation. After my Frenchie died, I got Boston puppy and when she was spayed (I believe strongly that pets that arent going to be bred should be neutered and even though I was scared, I took a leap of faith), they put 2 people on her after to make sure she didnt miss a breath and treated it very specially under the circumstances. Even though Ridgetop had nothing to do with my loss, they have went over and above making me feel comfortable and confident and I couldnt have asked for better care from Dr. Paulson and the whole staff.

What you guys did was wrong. We found a white male pomeranian dog. We looked around in neighborhoods for like 30 minutes. Finally we called the animal hospital, they told us to bring him in to see if he had a microchip. So we came in. He had a microchip but it was not registered. They told us they would keep him for the night just in case the owner came by. They said, "we will get him a house set up in the bed of the animal hospital. So later the owner (who was our neighbors daughter) was looking for him. She went to the animal hospital and they sent him to the humane socitey/ pound (even though they said that they wouldnt)!!!! So lucky enough she made it to the pound to get him. Now on a different subject we brought our basset hound in for a leg problem and the veteran that saw him (Dr. Jackie Imai) pushed my wife into doing blood work because she said he was to thin. Lets think about this the dog cant walk. So now we have to pay for another visit to have his leg looked at. By the way his blood work was fine. Bad Doctor shame on you.

My dog received 2 vaccine boosters this morning that he did not need until 2019. I discovered this after I got home when I filed the receipt, upon review of previous receipts and vaccine records. I called back and discussed this with the staff who tried to tell me that the vet determines if it is a 1 year vs 3 year vaccine. As RAH had full vaccine records from the previous vet, and the prior vaccines in the series were 3 year vaccines, the vaccines administered in 2016 were also 3 year vaccines so my dog was unnecessarily vaccinated with 2 vaccines he did not need until 2019. In the past I have received outstanding care for my dogs at Ridgetop Animal Hospital, especially from Dr. Cage (who is no longer there) but I am not pleased with the lack of attention to detail in the care received today.

The staff was so caring and compassionate when I had to make the difficult decision to put my dog down. He had been diagnosed with cancer just 3 weeks prior and he didnt respond to treatment, as we had hoped. He was miserable and though we could have given him pain meds, I knew that would have just been for me - not him. He was miserable and I knew it was time. Dr. Sutton and staff treated Charlie and us with so much compassion. They set us up in a room with treats and a comfy bed for him. Though it was one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do, they treated us so well that we left feeling grateful that we chose Ridgetop Animal Hospital.

We have brought our boxer there a few times based on reviews. Staff is nice but very disappointed that we NEVER ONCE received a follow up phone call after care as was mentioned to check up on our dog. Especially when one doctor says thats what they pride on and its unacceptable to not call and check up.. Surprise - no call. Staff should take a little more time and care for each of their patients and their owners. OH and charging for an "immediate appointment" and not being seen for 24 hours later - not cool at all. Its a good thing I caught it becasue it knocked off a lot of $$ from our bill. Just be weary and look things over.

This is the first vet my cat has liked! Theyre amazing: the front desk staff, the vet techs, the vet. The prices are about 1/3 what I used to pay and the care is excellent. I like a vet who is kind to my pet, provides excellent care, and clearly explains things to me, but does not try to upsell like crazy with cutesy extras (though their doggie bandanas are really adorable). They get my cat in same day when he is hurt, and their same-day visit cost isnt that bad. Ive never had to wait long for an appointment, and their hours are great. But ultimately, it really comes down to: this is the first vet my cat has liked.

Very skilled and compassionate. VCA tries up, sells everything they do for your pet. Had three pet dentistries. The two cats had two dentistries. they wanted to schedule a third. These kitties are elderly and do not do well with frequent anesthesia. They didnt do all the work each time so I would schedule a third. When they pulled that on my dog, I finally wised up. Each procedure with labs was $1000. I think they are unethical and. Have moved on p to Ridgetop. So far they have been very caring and r adorable..

Amazing Veterinary Hospital! After a terrible experience at another vet in the area, I took my dog here. Dr. Cage is who we saw and I am very impressed! She was very professional and thorough and explained everything very well. I feel like she cared what was best for my dog and didnt just see dollar signs (even knowing I would spend whatever necessary to keep my dog healthy). I had a great experience, Ridgetop just gained a forever patient... and we are getting a puppy tomorrow who will only be seen there as well!
