I was referred to Sherwood Family Pet after having some issues with my previous vet clinic. I was reluctant to move as I assumed all vet clinics were the same old same old. Boy was I wrong! From the moment I called Sherwood Family Pet I could tell a big difference. I was treated as if I mattered and that my pets mattered. When we walked in for our first appointment I knew we were in the right place. I was (and always am) greeted with smiles and care. And the special touch of writing pets name on the exam room board, really brings a level of care that you do not get elsewhere. This is such a simple yet extremely touching gesture to see each and every visit. To me it showed that there was thought and effort put into the appointment and I was not just another anybody paying for care or treatment of their pet. And Mary, man how do I put into words what she brings to the clinic. Her attitude and genuine approach is beyond words. She brought comfort and support to the discussion of finances, without judgment and with an open heart. Mary gave options for our budget and payment abilities. That was a huge relief. She really is the best! Since our first appointment we have never regretted bringing our pets to this clinic for any and all vet care needs - annual exams, vaccines, medications, urgent illnesses or concerns, and even treats and food. I truly cannot imagine taking our four legged family members anywhere else! We (pets included) are always given respect, never brushed off or pushed away. Great clinic, great staff, and great doctors and techs!

My family has been going to Sherwood Family Pet Clinic off and on for the past 7 years or more and they have always been so helpful and courteous! A year and a half ago our beloved dog Rocko broke his leg, hes a miniature pincher chihuahua mix, so you can imagine how small he is. All the tiny toothpick sized bones in his paw were broken!! We took him to Sherwood Family Pet Clinic straight away. The way they treated my dog was unbelievable!! The staff are all so awesome!! Dr Merrill performed a surgery on my dog that he hadnt done in over 10 years, but he never wavered once, he was very confident that my dog would come out of this almost as if the break had never happened!! Not only were we worried about how Rockos recovery would be, but we were worried and stressing out over paying for the surgery and after care!! Again, the staff was so understanding and sympathetic to our situation. I strongly believe that if I would have taken my dog anywhere else, that the results would not be the same, the quality of care would not be the same and the treatment from the staff wouldnt have been the same. I cant tell people enough how awesome this facility is!! Thank you so so much from the bottom of our hearts Sherwood Family Pet Clinic, you guys are naturally the best out there!! I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to take their pet here!! Dr Merrill you are the sweetest, most kind and gentle vet my family and I have ever met!! Keep up the great work you guys do!! Ive tried most of the vets in the area over the years, and settled on Sherwood Family Pet Clinic, even though they are a pretty significant drive from my home. I think overall they have treated me and my cats very well. I trust them, and they have seen my cats through some significant health issues. I find their prices to be reasonable as well. Some of the other vets seemed to really "soak" you for all you are worth when you go there, SFPC doesnt seem to do that, frequently recommending prudent, sensible treatment plans rather than inventing new ways to soak you. The downsides to SFPC are that they do have a lot of turnover in their vets there. They have gone through many different ones in the 5 years Ive been going there, so no sooner do you get comfortable with one of their vets, and they are gone. Also, regrettably, there are signs that their service may be going downhill pretty dramatically as of late. One of my cats was recently ill to the point where she had to come in to their office for all-day treatment, and then discharged to the 24 hour emergency vet for overnight treatment. After that I never heard back from them, which is kind of an appalling lack of concern on their part. Also, I use pet insurance to pay for vet bills, and despite their promises, they blew off sending in my insurance paperwork, which greatly frustrates me. So I dunno, if you had asked me a year ago what I thought of SFPC it would have been 5 stars. Right now? I may be looking for another vet very soon.

I have been taking my dog LucyLu to SFPC for almost three years and if it was not for them we would have lost her. When she first came there she had been diagnosed with PARVO. They took her right in and treated her and my family with so much love and compassion that when we left that day leaving LuceLu in there hands we knew that she was going to get the best care that was out there. They have always been so compassionate and loving towards her and my family that I would never take any of my animals any other place. All the staff there is GREAT!! Dr. Woodside has been our vet but even when I have had to see others there at SFPC they are just as wonderful to work with. I would give Sherwood Family Pet Clinic 10 stars if I could. Thank you SFPC for giving us all your love and compassion each and everyday. Most importantly for giving my daughter her Christmas present that year and that was a healthy happy new family member. Not worth the convenience. I advise looking elsewhere. They have gone downhill and now have consistently let us down with their terrible customer service. Beware, they will attempt to guilt trip you for this test or that, then gouge you with their high prices. My wife made an appointment for an urgent matter and was left waiting in the exam room for half an hour. Only after she stuck her head in the back room did she get a reaction from staff. She was then made to wait an additional ten minutes before they told her they wouldnt be able to see her after all. I had a simple exchange of flea meds to another dose size turned down due to their switching brands. No offer to refund was made. Additionally, a simple request for regular worm pills requires a exam, I was told. After five years were through with Sherwood Family Pet Clinic!

Weve been going to SFPC for about 12 years with 9 pets and can highly recommend them. They are super friendly, professional, highly knowledgeable and efficient. They always give options with prices so that we can make good decisions and patiently go thru pros and cons and recommendations without pressure. We had a boxer with many allergies and SFPC allowed us to try several of their foods, returning open bags for a full refund. One of the most important things for us is making those tough decisions near the end of life and Ive always felt that the vets and techs have been our partners, giving options and costs and never pressuring us to do expensive procedures with little long term benefits. Finally, as another reviewer mentioned, we have had to wait sometimes, but SFPC takes emergency cases and we will happily wait or reschedule if needed.
