My cat was hit by a car over the weekend and received emergency surgery. That following Monday, we took him to Tumwater Vet to have his sutures and general health checked. I was told to bring him in that morning, and pick him up at lunch, and that I would be called if he was not ready. I never received a call, called and he had not been seen by lunch. I was then told to pick him up later that afternoon. I went to the vet, was put in a waiting room with the door closed and after 20 minutes began to hear my pet crying. I assumed he was being put in the carrier, and was upset. His cries escalated to hissing, I opened the door and found that his carrier was set on the floor in the waiting room, while other animals that live at the vets office sniffed at him and a customers dog was present, as were the clinic staff. He was extremely upset as was I. I brought him into the room with me, found him in his carrier where puppy pads had been placed by staff, and he and the carrier were covered in feces. Another twenty minutes passed, as I cleaned up the mess with no offer of assistance from staff (I am also pregnant, and not supposed to be near cat feces) and then the vet arrived. I was told it must have "just happened", and apologized to for him being left on the floor in the waiting room around other animals and not brought into the safety of the examination room with me. I will never return. Save yourself the trouble, and go to the Lacey Animal Clinic, whose emergency service staff saved his life and were absolutely kind, considerate and wonderful in our time of need.

Been with them since the 1980s! Lina hasnt been there the whole time but Dr. Bennett has. My parents and I have had the chance to work with both and they are wonderful. I am sorry for Sarahs experience I dont know what happened but I have never seen or had anything ever like that that. When it was time for our animals to move on they treated us so carefully (us = human and animal) sending a card and the paw print of the animal. They are gentle with the shots and are good about not over suggesting procedures. I have a tendency to rescue animals and they are super helpful with that and if have a staff member that runs a wildlife rescue on site. All you have to do is give them a jingle let them know you have a critter and they will help you out. I think like us there are doctors you like and dont; personalities and all there are some I wont go to not because they are bad we just didnt click. I think this is a vet worth giving a try!

There are many great Vets in the Olympia area, but when I moved to Tumwater I discovered Tumwater Veterinary Hospital. The three doctors are all exceptional. Ive unfortunately had quite a few of visits in the past couple of years, probably the biggest being my dogs ACL surgery two weeks ago. From the people who staff the reception desk, to the techs, to the doctors - all of the people here are exceptional. I received quality instructions on how to care for my dog after her surgery and I have received great support when I call with questions. I have friends who also take their dogs here and everyone RAVES about this place...as you can see from the other reviews! Dr. Bennett just performed the Tightrope procedure to repair my dogs torn ACL. Its only been two weeks and my dog is walking on her leg again! Dr. Bennett also has a rehab facility next door to the clinic - which I plan to check out too.

(45/W/F) I have been a client of Dr. Bennett and staff since 1990--the early years. I have had him follow the care of my first cat and bird, and following, numerous cats and birds thereafter. My animals have lived long full healthy lives. And when it was time to put a dear friend down, I was met with the utmost compassion from doctors and staff. I look at them as my extended family along with their office kitties. Trosper (the original office cat) will always forever be remembered and adored in memory. Blessings Dr. Bennett and hard working staff!!! -- Barb Ursini In Memorium: George (cat), Sunny (bird), and Pookie (persian); Current Pets: Fluffy (persian), Binky (cat), Krykee (cat), Sparky (Dalmatian), and Pigro (cat)

We have been taking our pets here for the past several years and will never go anywhere else. Last year we got 2 new kittens (they were brothers) very soon after getting them, one became extremely ill. Dr. Lina went above and beyond to save him including taking him home on the weekend to monitor him. She kept me posted every step of the way. She is absolutely wonderful. The vet techs Mikey and Stina are also extremely dedicated and very compassionate. I would HIGHLY recommend this Veterinary Hospital. I am very happy with the entire staff.

I LOVE this place! They have cared for all my pets wonderfully. They clearly love and respect animals, showing a great deal of empathy and concern. They have been helpful to me in dealing with stress issues between my cats and my dogs skin issues as well. They are also great at finding ways to save me money, sharing all available options and approaches with the pros and cons. For them, its about the animals. Its good to have a place I can trust in.

Ive been taking my geriatric cat here for the past year. Theyre really caring and helpful here. I drop off the cat in the morning for an issue and I always get a call in the early afternoon to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan. They spend a lot of time with you talking things over even though theyre clearly flat-out busy with all the folks who wont bring their critters anywhere else. Highly recommended.

We have been taking our pets to Dr Bennett and Dr Lina since we moved to Olympia in 1996. I love their attention to the animals as well as us humans. Dr Bennett is SO great and caring. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We had to have our beloved lab put down and they handled it all with such grace and dignity. They made a card and all signed it and then stamped Zoes paw print on it.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Bennetts office since 1990 (as have my parents). Combined that is 12 dogs and 8 cats. The team at Tumwater Veterinary Hospital are a top-notch, professional, and trustworthy team who care about their patients and their patients families. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking a family veterinary for their pets. Erin Syversen Lacey. WA

With my mother as she takes her dog to vets for care. Place looks clean. Staff nice. A lot of people going in and out so its a busy place. Mom has taken her two dogs here for awhile. The dog is 14 years old so I would maybe think of a different plan, but its her money and her dog. Just my opinion.
