Update: Furthermore, much of the onsite work to save the dog, was performed gratis by a vet tech who worked for another vet clinic. So Cedar Creek charged for her free work. When I stepped into the emergency care area the animal only had one bag of fluids, a hot water bottle next to the dog, blankets surrounding the animal and no xrays were done. Finally, they coerced the owner to accept a credit card in order to pay the bill which has an interest rate of 29%. The personnel at the clinic should have known that a dog which was hit by an automobile and unresponsive should have recommended immediate euthanization rather than trying to save the animal, at exorbitant costs, then suggest the animal be put down. Their actions were a disservice to the animal and the owner, a single mother raising two children, who could ill afford their fees. In my opinion they acted as predatory as a used car salesman by protecting their own interest rather than properly caring for the animal and the customer.

Ive been seeing the Cedar Creek Docs for my three dogs (Weimaraners) for several years (including the time they were with Bethel Animal Hospital) and have received exceptional care. I am typically one who will quickly "jump ship" and switch to a different provider if I am at all dissatisfied with service. I was not thrilled that the new location is even further from my home, but my pets health is a bigger priority to me that this slight inconvenience and I would not give up the care they receive due to the relocation. One of our dogs is EXTREMELY shy and nervous and it takes a good amount of time to "earn his trust". The Docs at Cedar Creek are very patient and understanding of his strange behaviors and dedicate all the time necessary to ensure he is calm and comfortable before beginning an exam or administering vaccines. I have used numerous vets in Kitsap County but these folks are by far the best.

My Harrier hound was misdiagnosed by Cedar Creek with minor lung issues in 10/13 which 4 months later turned out to be un-treatable lung cancer. She was put down by Washington State University on 2/18. Surgeons there saw the first scans in October 2013 and immediately diagnosed the condition. Cedar Creek essentially maintains that there was nothing they could have done from 10/13 on (except for 2 clinic visits, endless drugs and 2 sets of Xrays) and that I was the problem as I did not authorize the services of a radiologist, which is not true. Cedar Creek does a good job of blaming the customer as they cant seem to treat animals properly. Try a different vet; I wish I had.

We took our black lab here from Bremerton as Cedar Creek is way more affordable than all the local animal hospitals and had good overall reviews. We were not disappointed! The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even when my pup had an accident on the floor. The medical staff was very knowledgeable and great with my four legged friend, and they even went out of their way to call the same evening to give us the test results as soon as they knew them. You really feel welcome here and well definitely be returning here for future needs.

Ive had Dr. Alberts as my horse vet for close to 9 years. He was here just 3 months ago and today I found out hes "retired" from treating horses! I find this very unprofessional to be told via trying to schedule a farm visit! Hes apparently still practicing but now only small animals. Most vets who "retire" inform their customers via mail or some similar way, not just leave them "hanging". I was given 3 "referrals", one with an incorrect phone number, the 3rd to a vet who hasnt practiced in two years! Again, unprofessional!

We recently had to have our 19+ year old cat put down as she was in the final stages of renal disease and clearly her quality of life was too poor for her to go on like that. Dr. Wempe helped us through it with wonderful sensitivity. We had been bringing our cat to Dr. Wempe when he was at Bethel Animal Hospital. We lost track of him for a bit but are glad to know he is established at Cedar Creek.

The staff at Cedar Creek Animal Clinic has been nothing but great. They have taken great care over the years, and that continues at the new location. They are attentive, compassionate, competent and caring. I had an emergency and they fit me in right away, so add accommodating as well.

My mothers standard poodle has health problems. The vet was very kind and, for the most part, knowledgeable. Front counter staff was kind and fixed a problem with medicine right away.
