I have been healthy my entire life and spent many years without health insurance coverage during times when I was self employed, so after having a few years of insurance through an employer and deciding whether to COBRA or ACA an acquaintance told me about Liberty Health Share. I was a bit skeptical since it wasnt "insurance" but being a healthy individual I felt like I could take the risk. Ten months into the program I found myself faced with breast cancer and the fear that my doctors and medical facilities would not accept my health share. Liberty assured me that they would be by my side throughout the process. As I expected I dealt with doctors offices telling me that they would not accept my health share and told me I would have to be a "self pay" patient. I contacted Liberty again and shared my frustration and thats when I was blessed with Wendy Kuhl in Provider Relations. She contacted the medical facilities and doctors that were hesitant and helped them understand the program and provided them with signed payment agreements and kept me informed through the entire process. I had one doctors office that said, "Im not sure about this, it seems too good to be true". Well, let me tell you Liberty Health Share is AMAZING!! Wendy "Rocks", but everyone I spoke to was friendly, helpful and caring and as agreed my bills have been paid by Liberty! I highly recommend Liberty Health Share and plan on promoting them with all of my friends, family and business partners. It has been worth the little bit of hassle that I had with my medical providers. I feel like I have helped those skeptics understand that Liberty Health Share can fit into their billing programs and that they need to start thinking out of the box. I am doing well and know that Liberty will be on my side in 2017.

This seems like such a great idea. And Im sure it works well for others. However, Ive been waiting for our application to be accepted for quite some time because of the need for medical history on my son. This past week I got a call telling me that I needed to contact the woman handling our application because she needed the information and I havent contacted her since "mid March" This wouldnt be a problem except I had emailed about 10 days prior to this to let her know the Doctor would be sending the history over. When I called back I was told the application was cancelled because (again) I hadnt contacted them since mid-march. I informed her that I had actually been emailing her recently and she even found the emails. So she said she would put a note on the application that they were just waiting on records that had been mailed to them. Well after this, I decided to look at other insurance options. And Im glad I did because when I emailed today to inform them that I wanted the application cancelled and would be taking a different option with a different company, I was informed that my application had already been cancelled last week. It was a huge mess and the woman who was working with us on the application obviously either had no idea what she was doing or a complete lack of organizational skills. Thankfully I found something way better for my family because I obviously could not have trusted this company with something as precious as my children.

Check their Better Business Bureau rating - its a D+! I dont know how they came up the 9 positive reviews on here, because almost all of the reviews that were on their own Facebook page were extremely negative. My own personal experience is they did not pay my very first claim for an annual wellness visit & the bloodwork ordered for it even though their literature states that they pay 100% for this without having to meet your annual deductible. They jacked me around for two months telling me they hadnt received my claims because they have no way of "notating items received thru the US mail" even though I mailed them to the address they provided in my "welcome packet". Then I emailed the claims & they couldnt give me any status updates because they dont have information available until the claim is completed processing which they tell you takes 30-45 days. In the meantime, they were able to get my initial signup fee of $135, plus 3 monthly payments of $279 each. Im disputing their charges thru my credit card company and filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals office. If necessary I will try to get a class action lawsuit going against them. JUST FOUND OUT THAT Kayla Shedlock (SEE HER 5 STAR REVEIW BELOW) IS AN EMPLOYEE OF LHS. HOW MANY MORE OF THESE REVIEWS ARE BY EMPLOYEES????

We have been with this company for almost two years. I needed to have a wisdom tooth surgically extracted in Nov. 2015. The charges were submitted by the clinic and it was months before I saw anything come through in my sharebox. Liberty eventually paid a portion and then I received balance bills from every provider, which I then had to submit to an attorney that Liberty obtained to negotiate the charges. I was assured that I wouldnt have to pay any portion of the bills and I didnt. However it was very stressful. Now I have a bill from my annual wellness visit a year ago that is still in negotiations or maybe got lost somewhere along the way as Ive heard nothing until I received a bill from a collections agency - something Ive never received in my entire life. Im still waiting to see how it turns out and it better not affect our credit. But...in November I had an emergency room visit. I told the hospital that I was a self-pay patient. They immediately reduced my bill by 25% and I emailed it to Liberty, as I did with all other bills that were affiliated with it. Liberty promptly paid every bill in full within 2 months! I also feel that their customer service has improved greatly from when we started with them. Well stay as nothing else can compare with what we pay to be members.

Most of the reviews on here are an absolute joke. They must have had their own employees put 5 star ratings on here to boost their rating. I am a business owner who signed up my employees on this plan. Let me explain how this works. They promise they are just like insurance but outside of it because of Obamacare Exemptions. Then they will discuss how evil Obama is and how they have the perfect solution. They are inexpensive so it is very tempting. Let me tell you, i am paying for it. They never pay a bill in full, they "negotiate" over months all while you are being sent to collections. When you contact them they just kick you around and then ask you to gather all the information, you become their secretary. For example, one of my employees had emergency surgery on a blood clot in his leg. The bill came back at $125k and Liberty Health Share is only going to pay $20k. They are leaving my employee on the hook for $105k for one bill. If you choose to use Liberty Health Share and something serious happens to you, you will be bankrupt. These Health Care Companies do not care if Liberty Health Share pays, they are coming after you.

Liberty Health Share has been the best thing my husband and I have done in our lives. We received real health care, Wellness exams, colonoscopys...its all prevention...its all in supporting a healthy lifestyle,....Health coaching has been instrumental in getting me motivated to eat right, live right, and continue it, My husband graduated from his track...with monitoring his blood pressure... Wendy K, and Amy F. have been instrumental in getting vendors secured to handle the memberships needs, all over the country. Recently , with the Cancer Center of America coming on board...so members can get through and complete care if and when this hits.....When you ask questions, have concerns, they actually care about each of us. We are a part of the Liberty health share family, when you sign up for it....they are there for you in a crisis....God Bless this organization...for doing health care correctly....as each of us takes our own personal health journeys....they will be there for each of us, and that is not just a saying...its been absolutely true...
