Ive been bringing my animals here since I was a teenager and as of today, I will never return EVER AGAIN. I have been CALLING and trying to make an appointment for my cat who has been acting out and they do not return calls for over a week and I quote "Its too hard for us to answer the phone". Funny, because there were several people at the front desk, but I guess they are too busy sitting around giving everyone dirty looks and acting like bitches to answer the phone. This weekend, my cat (who has been having the behavioral problems) was seriously injured fighting, I assume they would finally put me at the top of the list to receive a call back and called first thing this morning with an emergency call....WRONG. They are too busy filming Animal Planet to actually care about animals anymore. Im not even exaggerating, the doctor was in the parking lot filming his show and NOT EVEN TREATING AN ANIMAL. "That was a prior engagement" she said. Im not joking, they literally did not even act concerned whatsoever that my cat was injured and treated us like second class citizens. How dare my cat and I bother them with an emergency during the filming of their show???? HOW ABOUT FILMING AFTER HOURS???????? YOU OBVIOUSLY CARE MORE ABOUT BEING FAMOUS THAN TAKING CARE OF ANIMALS!!!!!!! After waiting 3 hours, I was worried my cat was going to have an accident in his pet taxi and asked the snotty receptionist for a list of other vets that could actually help us and she was happy to give it to me. Just like that, those rude POSERS lost a loyal client of the past 15 years. I called Guardian in Thornton and THEY ANSWERED THE PHONE and said they could see my cat later. I really wish I hadnt wasted my time going there in the first place!!!!!!!!!!! They used to really care about animals and it is so sad to see what they have become. A bunch of rude, cocky, assholes that DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. Dont waste your time. There are so many other vets that will take care of your pets. Just ask Planned Pethood for the list of other low income vets and they will happily give it to you because you or your pet mean absolutely nothing to them!

Dr. Brooks was very friendly and helpful but you can tell this place takes on more patients than they can adequately take care of. We chose this vet because of their discounted rates, but getting in touch with them proved to be impossible. I waited a week to get a call back to set up an appointment. On my appointment day they were over an hour behind and I sat with my cat in a kennel in their waiting room while he howled. It took them twenty minutes just to greet me while I was standing at the front desk, and not one staff member even mentioned they were behind. I found out from the person next to me who had already been waiting an hour. The clinic manager was running around literally yelling at doctors for being behind, you could hear it clearly from the waiting room. It was a very stressful environment. When I finally went back with Dr. Brooks, who again was very very nice, she recommended a urine analysis test for my cat. She gave me the materials to self collect and didnt even give me the option to have an in house collection done, which Im assuming is because they were so behind that day. They rushed me out rather than giving my cat the attention that I paid an appointment fee for. I collected at home and brought it in the next day, which produces much less accurate results, then four days later got a voicemail with his results. I called back to ask questions and never received a call back or advice on how to treat his urine crystals even after leaving multiple voicemails. I ended up consulting my regular DVM at All Cats Clinic in Englewood. They attempted to reach Planned Pethood to get a copy of his test results and, big surprise, planned Pethood never responded. We ended up having to get him retested at our regular DVM. So much for saving money. Their discounted vaccines are very helpful but if your pet has a serious condition Id recommend going somewhere with better customer service. Also, for the record, the urinalysis at my regular DVM was cheaper and they expressed his bladder in house, which took all of two minutes.

After reading the one star reviews for the past six months I will admit that I had second thoughts taking my dog here! My dog needed major dental work and my primary vet quoted $800 to $1200 depending on how extensive the procedure was going to be. Cost was a huge factor! I dont live too far from the clinic so I didnt bother with trying to make an appointment over the phone. There was a small line at the door at 7:30 when the doors opened, five minutes later Im greeted by the manager who had no attitude and opened the schedule for me the next day to get my dog in. The next day I see the doc, she suggested a deep cleaning and a possible extraction, she quoted the procedure at $365 to $565 depending on what needed to be done. She told me that the clinic schedules out a week or two for dentals, this concerned me because there were signs of infection. After a quick vaccination we went out front to check the schedule. The next available opening was two weeks out. The doc asked me to wait, she goes in the back, comes back out and asks me if tomorrow would work, I obviously said yes! She went out of her way to try and squeeze my dog into an already full schedule. I paid $55 for the visit and vaccination. The next day I drop my dog off and waited for the dredded phone call or lack thereof that I read about, half day went by and I get the call to pick up my dog around 5:30-6. End of the day, I pick my dog up and receive all the medications along with instructions. I paid $435 for my Lucy to be put under general anesthesia, IV fluids, four teeth pulled, the rest cleaned and polished, a skin tag on her lower eyelid removed, and her nails trimmed! ! ! HALF OF WHAT MY PRIMARY VET QUOTED!!!! For three days straight, all the staff I encountered had nothing but smiles and seemed to do whatever they could to help my dog. Thank you PPP for all you did, might just change vets altogether!

1/22/17 update: now closed Sundays, just another awesome thing about this vet. I come on Sunday because itll take me 30 minutes just to get up to the counter on Saturday to get my dogs meds. One star review still applies. I dont know why I keep going back here. My dog gets a medication through this vet and it has been nothing but problems. Original dosage was half tablet 2x day, in April it changed to half tablet 3x day. Yet they wrote in the chart that it was whole tablet 3x day. I go back in today for yearly checkup and explain the error in detail with the vet, she assures me itll be fixed. I get home and realize they changed the dosage on the bottle to half tablet 2x day, so Im back at the beginning. Ive tried calling all day to get this corrected and they of course never answer, and today their voicemail is also down. Yay! Ive resorted to writing a letter and mailing it to get my chart finally changed (and so I can get a full two month supply next month). In addition to my current medication snafu, theyve also given me the wrong medication before. I was given seizure medication for my dog in error, she has incontinence. I didnt realize the mistake until a week later. When I called to get it corrected I was offered no explanation, just a standard were sorry and offer to switch out the wrong medication. No other offers, like a refund for the medication I paid for and was given something that could have harmed my dog. They dont answer email, its impossible to get someone on the phone unless you play message tag for three+ days. Dont expect to get in and out within an hour even with an appointment. I cringe to think of taking my dog here for any procedure that requires me leaving her in their hands. Cheap vet service is fine for something like a shot but surgery? Oh Jesus, pray your dog survives.
