Got my first dog in college. I was inexperienced and this vet was close to school. When I walked in the attitude I got from Dr. Weisel was o great, another dumb college student whos not really going to take care of their pet. Granted, college students have done a lot to earn that reputation but jeez, give me a chance to show you otherwise. The office is in a crappy part of down and is pretty small. It was clean enough though. Im pretty sure he conned me out of money. I would get charged for a checkup no matter what I brought my dog in for. She needed boosters for vaccinations. I got charged around 30 bucks for a checkup along with the boosters. Then again when I brought her in for the actual vaccination the next week. She also had a cut on her foot that was first bandaged by the OSU Emergency Vet clinic (great office btw) that needed re-bandaging. I took her to Dr. Weisel and got charged another 30 bucks for a checkup. It was my first vet experience, so I thought it was normal. He is seeing her (my dog) so she is being checked on right? (so naive) Imagine how stupid I felt when friends who go to other vets told me that is NOT standard policy. Im sure Dr. Weisel is nice to most patients and their pets, but his haughty attitude towards me and my suspicion that he intentionally overcharged me has stopped me from ever visiting this office again. If you want to see the true character of someone, you need to see how they treat people they see as below them.

I have 3 cats and I have been having great experience with Dr. Wesel and the staffs for almost 3 years. Dr. Wesel is very knowledgable and extremely patient to answer any questions we have about our cats. He is willing to spend time addressing my concerns and telling me details about what the medical term for a disease means, what could be the causes for such disease, how to prevent them from happening again. He also shares with me his personal experience/with multiple cats at home; I can see he truly loves animals and would love to share all his knowledge to help you take good care of your pets. The staffs are great, too. I once called if they have the cat food in stock; when I got there, they already had it on the counter ready for me to pick up. Highly recommend this vet clinic.

I have two adult cats that I adopted about a year ago and this was the place their previous owner had taken them so my boyfriend and I continued. I cannot stress enough how fantastic Chittenden clinic is. The vet is well knowledgeable,super helpful, caring, and always makes sure he explains what exactly is wrong medically with your animal and talks about the steps to fix the problem. One of my little ones has a chronic illness so every 2 months I am in there to get her steroids to help fight off and get rid of her open wounds in her mouth. They are always extremely friendly and understanding. As long as I live in Columbus I will continue to take my fur babies there. I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We love Dr. Weisel and the staff of The Chittenden Veterinary Clinic. The atmosphere is calm - good for our pets, the people are kind (hi Melissa!), and the prices arent too high. Dr. Weisel has a matter of fact delivery with an even dose of wisdom and kindness. Hes a pet owner too and expresses understanding in difficult situations. He gives information so clients can make the decision regarding the care of their pets that fits their lives best. We used to live closer to CVC and when we moved, I thought that it was silly to drive past so many veterinary offices on the way to our vet. So I switched to the vet nearest to me. And then, I switched back to CVC. I think that says it all. :)

My dog and I had a great time at this vets clinic! Dr. Weisel actually got down on the ground to meet my dog and made sure she was comfortable around him before he started examining her. Ive never seen another vet do this, and you could tell she appreciated it. She doesnt usually act very interested in humans she doesnt know, but she licked his face and was very calm while getting examined and getting her shots. Definitely a good man with an equally as good and caring staff! They are also affordable, which is very important for me. They are very informative and eager to answer any questions one might have. Thank you so much, Chittenden Veterinary Clinic!!

We first encountered CVC when our cat Princess was dying. They gave us a same day appointment, listened carefully to what I said, and when they had the chance to see her, sent us at once to OSU Veterinary hospital as there was nothing they could do for her at the clinic. They never even charged us to be seen. A month later we brought in Hobbes and Agent C, our other two cats for their annual exam and vaccinations. They accommodated Matts and my extremely difficult schedule and were wonderful with the cats when we came in. Not only will we go back whenever needed, we highly recommend them to anyone seeking a caring and competitively priced veterinarian.

I absolutely love this clinic. Dr. Weisel is amazing. He never advises you to give your pets anything they dont need, and he takes the time to talk to you and educate you about your pets health. Also Im pretty sure hes a wizard. The last time I took my dog in for a vaccine, it was over so quick I didnt even notice hed administered it. And Ive worked as a veterinary assistant! The whole staff is great. My dog is always excited to visit and gets lots of treats. My cats are never quite as thrilled, but they are always surprisingly compliant and well-behaved in the competent hands of the employees here.

This is probably the best vet palce in Columbus! After several years with OSU vet hospital, which was not bad but expensive, I was looking for something else. Tried a few but was not happy. Finally I pulled the list with all vets in Columbus, looked at their ratings and called and interviewed the top 15. This one was the winner. I went there for a couple of things including dental cleaning for my cat. They were wonderful - small, cozy, genuine, caring, fast and very very personable. And all of this happen to be way cheaper than most. Give it a try - your little furry friend would appreciate it :)

When I first moved to Columbus I was in desperate need of a new vet because my cat had fleas and she was missing a couple shots. I tried to make an appt at two other clinics and none were able to see my cat for at least 3-4 weeks; as soon as I called Chittinden, they were able to see her within a few days. Dr. Weisel is so knowledgeable and he doesnt just tell you whats wrong with your pet, he will explain in detail why and how it happened! He really makes sure you understand whats going on with your cat/dog. Such a great, caring staff as well!

I love these people! Dr Weisel understood my concern with my previous vet who loved to milk every penny out of me after 1k I left for the chittenden vets and after a checkup and my cat getting her boosters my monthly med bill for my cat went from 160.00 to 18.00. The people here are very caring and were so good with my attitude filled cat the only thing im trying to get used to is their hours but other than that this place is a great vet for your animals. Killer my tortie and I are very grateful to your office :) keep up the amazing work
