Dropped my 2 cats off at 1030 on Sunday 4/7/2013. They said that the cats would be sedated (as they were bad kitties last time), and would be available to pick up at 1630. Though, I did not want to go this route, I relented, and dropped them off. At 1625, I decided to drive up to PetSmart to see whether or not they were ready. I waited about 15 minutes, to see the vet. She said that they were sedated, and shouldnt eat until 2000, and should be in a place that elevated their body temperature, as the medication can drop their internal temperature. I got home, and opened the first cat carrier, and my poor girl stumbled out. She was scared, and tried to run, but her equilibrium was off, and kept falling to her left. She was headed toward the basement, but couldnt navigate the kitchen tile, she was flailing her tiny little legs. I grabbed her (much to the chagrin of my fingers and hands) and put her in a spare bedroom. The poor thing couldnt even sit up, as she was so messed up. So, I left the other cat in the carrier for four hours; and sat with my baby. She was hissing, and visibly disturbed. When I got close enough, she would smell me, and become joyous, but didnt recognize me from a few feet away. This cat could not walk, sit, or jump. She would have killed herself, if she had made it to the stairs. In fact, I am surprised that she didnt have more injuries than the bruises to her face. Have you ever watched your pet run full-speed into a wall, because she couldnt find her way? I laid with my baby in the spare bedroom all night, I didnt sleep, I just tried to comfort her. In the morning, I called Banfield, and asked them why I wasnt told to keep them in the carrier. The "vet" said that she thought that they would be okay...really? The other cat remained in the carrier, and was a little groggy, but otherwise good. Banfield charged me $40 a month, per cat. Only to say that I owed them money for the sedation. Banfield does not care about your pet, they care about your money, and the products that you will buy at PetSmart. I dont like feeling helpless, while an animal that I love, is running into a wall. When I cancelled my recurring payments, they told me that I still owed for "services rendered." So now, I have to pay these idiots for the next five months, only to seek a different vet. They do not care, and I would advise anyone to avoid at all costs.

I love Banfield. Ive been taking my English Bulldog here for the past year and theyve been nothing but wonderful. I trusted them when I got my bully neutered; they took all necessary precautions and made sure to do a little extra to make sure he was stable on his own. I even started taking my cat there and theyve been wonderful for her too. Ive always been weird about vets bc I always seem to find the ones who just want to take 15 xrays and do a bunch of tests.. then the next thing I knew I was 3000$ in the hole and no idea what was wrong with my pet. But not Banfield. They do whats necessary and never steer me the wrong way. Highly recommended in my book.

Love this place. Friend recommended me with my Cat not feeling well I called up and they got me in same day. My cat is shy with many and she settled right down with Dr. Ballou as he pet her the whole time he was speaking with me and explaining things it may be. She runs away in my home let alone a new place in the vet. He has the special touch I guess. :-) They gave option and prices right up front. Will for sure go back when needed and add them as my new vent. Misty is doing great now. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL AT Banfield Pet Hospital. Much Love

If you refuse to drop off your pets twice a year for complete physical exams you may be rejected by this vet from buying or renewing the Banfield Insurance Plans. Banfield themselves said the physical exams were not required to purchase the insurance but she owns the franchise. Not a very friendly group of people working there and my dogs always got sick after being there. With so many other good vets in the area, why bother with this one.

Luckily I havent had the experiences that adm had. The female vet I know has always been really nice and I haven’t had any trouble with their wellness plans for my pets either. So far so good!

Theyve been taking fairly good care of my puppy, cant complain yet really. Although it can get a little pricey.
