HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!! If you care about your pets DO NOT take your animals here!! I was referred to this place by an animal shelter to get two bengals neutered for $75 each. When I got there I asked the woman if it is bad to use ketamine because i heard it is bad for bengals (a commonly known fact to bengal owners i later learned) and she said its ok because they use gas anyway and have worked on many bengals. Then the "lady" told me it was $85 and i left. When my girlfriend called the shelter to find out why they upcharged us $20 dollars, the shelter called the hospital and said they told her that it was because we asked for gas. I never asked for gas, i simply asked her if ketamin was bad, and she never told me it was extra, she simply tacked it on after telling me it was common practice. Then my girlfriend spoke with the "lady" from the hospital and she said we had to use gas or pick up the cats because ketamin is "too risky". My girlfriend said no problem go ahead. Five minutes later I get a call back saying that "the doctor does not feel comfortable doing the surgery" and when i asked why the woman said and i quote, "Does a doctor knows what drugs to give and not to give, yes or no?" as if she was addressing a child. I said excuse me, "so i am not allowed to ask what you are giving my animal? The breeder told us ketamin is very harmful for bengal cats." She replied, "the breeder is not a doctor is she?" continuing to insult me. Keep in mind this is after she said "its too risky" so apparently he doctor DOESNT know. Then she said "since you just want to question the doctor and haggle with prices its best you take your cats elsewhere". I said, "where did we haggle, we simply wanted to know why it was more expensive than the orignally quote." So she says, "you had your girlfriend go call the shelter behind our back to complain about the price so its best you take your cats somewhere else." Then she hung up the phone. When i went to pick up the cat she told, "take these cats out of here". Its like if i had a kid allergic to penicillin and told the doctor and the doctor says, "i know whats best for your child, dont tell me what to do" instead of saying "thank you, theres no way i would have known that otherwise, and this could have gone very wrong. Ill give him something else now". So bottom line is, these people are not only egomaniacs but DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CATS. First she says she deals with bengals all the time, then says ketamin is risky, then says im wrong about ketamin because im not a doctor. ANY good vet knows you dont give ketamin to bengal, and instead of researching or taking my word for it, or simply just respecting MY decision about MY cat she lectures me and scolds me for DARING to question the vet (her husband nontheless). . If you question these people in anyway, they will realize you care about your animal and are obviously afraid of a potential lawsuit because they have no idea what theyre doing and send you packing. This place is a sorry excuse for a "hospital". The outwardly and inwardly decrepit and rundown appearance of this dingy "shack" match the dismal staff. If you care about your pet at all do NOT take them here!!!

Shockingly poor service. My wife runs a rescue group and took 5 Kittens there for spaying and neutering today on 7/2/13. Price of $325 agreed beforehand through another rescue groups kind use of their discount. When she called the vet to confirm pick up time she spoke to a woman named Aliyah ( I probably did not spell the name correctly) and was told that a prior balance of $150 existed from 2011. (my wife has not used this vet in over 9 years) She went on to say that the kittens would not be released until the prior balance of $150 plus the $325 was paid in full. When it was explained to this woman (whos attitude was beyond unpleasant by the way) that my wife had no idea how this balance came about, that she only had the money to pay for the services provided that day and which she would do and then try to find out who charged the $150 to her account, Aliyah absolutely refused to cooperate. When my wife eventually caved in and found an extra $150 and came to collect, she was suddenly told that it had to be cash only and no credit cards or checks would be accepted. Aliyah went on to say she was an owner, that Dr Hamdan was a salaried employee and another Vet also owned the establishment, she also said she had owned the business for 40 years. As I write this, the Police have been called. Attempts to be put through to Dr Hamdan were rejected. Im not an animal person but I have been involved in Animal rescue for 18 years and have never come across such appalling service from any vet. My wife is absolutely distraught. The kittens are being held pending payment. Consequently, I do not recommend this establishment.

Excellent staff and very knowledgeable veterinarian. The place did not look impressive from the outside; but was very clean inside. I went there hesitantly upon the recommendation of a lady I happened to meet at the dog park. I had doubts that my Freddie will ever stop itching. His skin was smelly, inflamed, oozing some discharge. His paws were almost bloody from biting and licking. I have been to many vets before and I did give up. They helped him for a week or two, then every thing is back all over again. Dr Hamdan did a blood test and diagnosed food allergy. Freddie was allergic to beef, milk, corn and chicken and few other things. His skin is clear now and he hardly itches. Dr Hamdan is a strait shooter, very gentle, Freddie loved him( we were back for a few follow up visits(at no charge) except for meds. He took his time before and after the diagnoses, explained every thing in detail. My wife and I thank him very much for helping our Freddie and glad we went there. We highly recommend this hospital.

EXCELLENT VETERINARY CARE!!! On the contrary, if you care about your pets, PLEASE take them here. Dr. Hamden is a knowledgeable, compassionate veterinarian who goes above and beyond what is needed to treat any animal brought to him. The office staff is always helpful and one NEVER leaves the office confused as to the course of treatment or the cost involved. These are ALL caring individuals whose primary purpose is the appropriate treatment and well being of any pets that are brought to them. They treat any pet that is brought in as though the pet is their own. I wouldnt trust my pets to anyone else other than Dr. Hamden and his staff.

I have been taking my dog to Dr Hamden for over 11 years. He has always provided the best care and advice I have ever received from any vet. One of the assistants - Aliyah (not sure of the spelling) has been outstanding regarding any debt. She has always been very cooperative for repayment plans, has never overcharged me and has been considerate and kind, reflecting the atmosphere Dr Hamden all these years has had in his practice. Aliyah is very knowledgeable regarding pet care and has returned my calls in an expeditious manner...even on off hours during the weekend. I highly recommend Dr. Hamdens office.
