Please stay away from this dr. We had a dispute over the bill. I wanted to speak to the Dr. he said he was too busy. I was so upset I just left. When he called me - he told me my dog was seriously ill based on the blood work. I begged him for the results put he held me hostage until I would pay him in full. I called him and he would not return my call. The dispute was over $7.50. How could any vet do this? I sit here crying now about my dog and he wont give me the results until he mails me the bill and I pay him in full. He told me that although I cancelled the blood work he had already done it within 2 minutes of me telling him not to do. I called him twice and he would not return my call -I would pay him whatever he wanted since my dogs life was at stake. He will not even return my call. Please realize that this doctor cares nothing about dogs at all only money. He should be ashamed of himself and I want others not to bet affected. I adopted my dog and I knew it was sick when I got him - I got him better and now it is years later and I brought him in today since he was not walking well. Think before you take your pet to this Doctor.

Don’t use Wellpet Animal Hospital in Cedar Grove NJ!!!!!! This doctor misdiagnosed my dog and chose an incorrect, longer and more expensive path of treatment. He never took a blood test or a lyme test. After months of treatment by Wellpet, my dog got worse. My schnauzer could hardly walk. I took my dog for a second visit to Dr. Wellington and he still advised to continue the course of treatment – that he was just getting old. I opted to take my dog to another Vet (Little Falls Animal Hospital). Little Falls Animal Hospital tested my dog before any treatment was given. They found that my dog had lyme disease. A course of treatment which was appropriate for my dog was prescribed for several months. My dog has improved remarkably. If my dog had been diagnosed properly during the initial visit, my dog would not have suffered. My dog could have died. Do not use Wellpet for your pet’s care. Hold onto to wallets and save your pets and don’t use Wellpet. I seldom post but dont want anyone else to expose their pet to Dr. Wellington

Dr. Wellington takes great care of my pitbull mix. He listens to and answers all my questions and is very patient. I went for a last minute visit and I had to wait a while because an emergency came in but, wouldnt you want the same for your pet? Im reading the recent reviews for this practice and I just dont understand it. Weve been going here for less than a year so Im not going to say that its not warranted because I dont know anyones experience. I saw a lot about billing and money but I havent experienced any trouble with them in that respect. Yes, caring for pets is expensive. Vets and staff also need to get paid, same as us. I might not have those experiences because I took advantage of the Wellness plan at this practice and also have an insurance plan for my dog so I have him pretty well covered. I am very happy with their treatment of myself and my furbaby. If that changes Ill absolutely update this review.

Well Pet Animal Hospital is an amazing veterinary facility. Dr. David Wellington and Martha Baquero are incredibly caring, loving and patient with my dog. They are exactly how you want your vet to be. They have a state-of-the-art facility and give the very best care of all pets there. Im so lucky to have found a place where the staff treat my dog as well as I do. They are also advocates for shelter pets, which is a huge plus for me. The dont discriminate on any breeds of dogs, so pit bull guardians are completely welcome there. I drive 35 minutes to get there and its totally worth it. Well Pet Animal Hospital is the only place I would take my dog. I know he is in the very best hands there.

Dr. Wellington has cared for my older dogs since he opened his practice. He takes the time to observe my dogs behaviors, examine them thoroughly, and listen to my comments and concerns. He offers thoughtful advice and recommendtions, never more than they need. He referred one dog to a cardiac specialist at the right time, and monitors the other dogs wellness needs as she ages. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Took our australian shepherd in for some regular shots and microchipping. The office is clean and feels very homey. Dr. Wellington was excellent at interacting with our dog and giving us relevant information. As an added bonus our receipt was itemized and the whole process felt very professional. We intend to return to Well Pet for future vet and pet dental needs we have.

Very kind people. Dr. Wellington took great care of our dog when she had a severe bout of pancreatitis. He was excellent about following up and communicating with us about her treatment and thanks to him, shes fine now. Id recommend Well Pet any day!
