8 Reasons why Dr. Mikhail Gomer is a TERRIBLE dentist and I dont recommend anyone (let alone their children) to his malpractice, Mount Vernon Dental Solutions: I have paid out of pocket for my current dentist to fix Dr. Gomer’s mistake. Dr. Gomer charged me $858.58 ON TOP of what he charged my insurance for four fillings that I am not sure I needed. I am okay now, but here is why I will never return to Dr. Gomer and you should not make an appointment: AGGRESSIVE NATURE: I tried to see the xrays that were taken of my mouth. Dr. Gomer entered the room and commanded me to sit down in the chair looking away from the screen. In a few minutes, he told me that I would need 4 fillings. “That’s as much as your insurance will cover”, he said. When I asked for him to refer to the xray and point out the fillings, he furiously clicked on the button to increase the contrast of the image until all the teeth looked misshapen and I could barely make out the areas he was referring to. He insisted that I get the fillings done and didnt take the time to explain what procedure would take place. Instead, he rushed out and into the next appointment once I agreed. RUDE TONE/ LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM: Dr. Gomer YELLS at the women who work under him, both the hygienists and the receptionists, with disrespect and disregard for a professional environment. (There were new women working there for each of my visits to address his mistake) BRUTALITY/ROUGHNESS: Dr. Gomer drilled in a rush, then left me in the chair, mouth wide open and with holes drilled in my teeth, while he attended to another appointment. I’ll reiterate for clarity: Dr. Gomer drilled through my teeth then walked out of the room halfway done with the procedure to optimize his cash flow. When he came back 25 minutes later, HE USED HIS LEGS to push the malleable filling into my tooth until I could feel sharp pain through the novocaine and exclaimed. He literally got out of his seat to push this filling in ... No dentist I have visited (including the one who fixed Dr. Gomer’s mistake) has ever needed to apply that much pressure to a filling before solidifying it. PROBLEMATIC FILLING: Since I got the four fillings done, I felt an unusual amount of pain in one of the fillings. I didnt want to return to his office after being treated poorly, but my insurance told me that I would have to pay out of pocket for a new dentist to fix Dr. Gomer’s mistake. (I end up paying out of pocket anyway) Dr. Gomer told me that it was just abnormal sensitivity or chronic pain which could take up to four months to heal. (Utter blasphemy!) BLASPHEMY/IMPROPER DIAGNOSIS: Over the course of those four months, I returned twice to Dr. Gomer’s office to explain that the pain I had been experiencing was getting worse; I could feel the crack with my tongue and it triggered sharp pain. He insisted that nothing was wrong and that he would “smooth it out for me”. HE DRILLED THROUGH MY LIP: During my last effort to get Dr. Gomer to fix his mistake, I began a conversation in politics to try and lighten the mood. Dr. Gomer said he voted for Trump because he is the only one who can save us ... Later, while adjusting the problem filling (pointlessly), he dropped the drill and it punctured my bottom lip ... When I left, he said “All I can ask for are good reviews” ... OVERPRICED: Dr. Gomer charged me 60% more than my current dentist for the same procedure. Dr. Gomer charged $275 for a 2 surface filling. My new dentist charged me $165 for a 2 surface filling, did an exceptional job and was countlessly more professional and careful than Dr. Gomer. STRANGE ATMOSPHERE: [This happened first, but is less important] During my FIRST visit to Mount Vernon Dental Solutions during the summer of 2016, I was seen by Dr. Gomer’s wife. She assured me that she was also a doctor and urged me to write a Google review INSIDE THE BILLING OFFICE, with her over my shoulder, directly following my first cleaning with a dental hygienist -- However, I was never seen by her again. Dont do it.

Awful service/practice starting from reception to dr gomer. As a new patient I called in for an appointment Monday I was extremely clear when I said I wanted a consultation with dr gomer in regards to a toothache! It took a while for the receptionists to schedual me they were just passing the phones to each other and kept calling me back through out the day with questions. They Finally scheduled me next day Tuesday. Diana takes x-rays looks at them tells me what she thinks and gives me a cleaning while i wait for dr gomer because thats what i schedualed the appointment for! After my long wait after the cleaning dr gomer comes in and says next appointment ill take the tooth out. I simply said"Ok well hi there dr gomer am Jessica, have you looked at me x-rays or spoken to Diana or even explained to me whats going on or if there is any other solutions?" "No am with a patient right now I will look at them later and next appointment we take the tooth out" and I replied "well I set this appointment to speak to the dr which is you not anyone else in regards to my tooth" he just kept saying " I have another patient" ....... then leaves and Diana comes back and says someone will be in to give you the paperwork For pain prescription......another long wait the reception said she didnt know I was done and was completely lost ..... I told them I wanted my x-rays and they refuse to give them to me they said I have to wait a week because dr gomer has to sign off on them ... what! Then they call me next day to say dr gomer would like to see me and that he apologized he didnt know I was going in to see him!!? Well who in the world would I see if not the Dr ! I clearly said NO! And demanded my x-rays I told the receptionist both of them because they just kept passing the phones to one another they didnt even know what in the world to do, i told them dr gomer can take that time he wanted to see me to sign off on my x-rays! And they kept putting me on hold to tell dr gomer then he said again I have to wait a week!? I would not recommend! You even have receptionists running around saying they bored !? Crazy place honestly I was shocked.

Very disappointing experience at this office and would not recommend anyone here. I went in as a new patient for a cleaning, my hygienist was nice and welcoming but anxious and explained she was under the gun for being behind. She was new to the practice and in a room she wasnt use to so there was a lot of fumbling around and no one there to help her sort things out, only unless she asked for someone to help. With all the fumbling I kept a careful eye that there was no cross contamination with my tools before they went into my mouth. As for the dentist... The only time he made direct eye contact with me was to ask me if I wanted to pay extra for a fluoride treatment. Never mind actually looking in my mouth, checking my teeth or proper addressing my concerns. I have never met a dentist that didnt check my teeth or feel for masses or such. The only thing he did was look at the X-rays and not inform me of the results and tell me to go back to my old dentist to figure out my problems ( after I told him my tooth was separating from the others) I will never return to this office and warn anyone who mentions about going there against it, unless you want less then stellar treatment. The only thing that office had to offer was a friendly anxious hygienists.
