Very reasonably priced, reasonably good location (a little shady around there, but near 280, so you dont have to travel too far into the inner parts of East Orange). Dr. Santiago is a great vet that I have known for years and he treats my animal with a lot of tenderness. Tries to see all the animals he can on any given day and is truly humane with a sharp knowledge of animal physiology. Answers all questions (intelligent or otherwise :-)) clearly and succinctly and lays out all options. Id go to him if he was a human doctor.

My 13 year old cat Blanche was very sick and had a breathing problem that could not be corrected. I had to make the very difficult decision to put her to sleep. Doctor Santiago and his staff are some of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. They treated Blanche very gently and understood how hard it was for me to part with her. As sad a day as it was for me I am very grateful to have had such a wonderful, caring group of people with me and Blanche as her life came to an end.

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Santiago for over a year now and we love him. He is gentle with our pup , knows what he is doing and is very patient with our questions. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. On top of it , him and his staff have values! When a woman was observed loudly body shaming another young woman in the waiting room, he let us know in private that he wouldnt provide services to her. Very respectable! He and his staff is highly recommended!!

My sister and I took her cat here yesterday and it was a wonderful experience, not so much for the cat (obviously he was fearful) but Dr. Santiago and his assistant were awesome. Dr. Santiago was so gentle with him, answered all our questions thoroughly and educated us on the best options to proceed with his care. His staff was also very nice and patiently waited for us as were stuck in traffic and running late to our appointment. I definitely recommend his care.

The Doctor was wonderful. We went to a different hospital initially but had no results. Dr. Santiago and his staff were very patient, pleasant, explained everything clearly and acted quickly and accordingly. Very thorough. They saved our dogs life! Dr. Santiago rocks. He applies both common sense and a love for animals. He doesnt waste my $$ on unwanted tests, but gives me realistic help when my animals are ill. And hes way less expensive than most local vets. I have been going to him sine he took over the practice and I think hes great.

They provided the best care for my Lola. Shes a small dog with tremendous attitude but they handled her with the upmost care. From shots to nail trim and all went well. They took the time to answer all my questions and made helpful suggestions. Im very pleased with them.

my dog was killed by a hit and run. RIP King, i love you. They took the body after I filled out a form. It cost me $150 to get him cremated. The people were really nice. Id recommend this place. i hadnt heard of it or noticed the place until after this tragic incident.

The biggest problem is that they dont answer their phone... they actually take it off the hook and leave it off. They tell you to call to follow up on tests - and then they dont answer the phone. What kind of sense does that make?

I wouldnt take my animals anywhere else. The staff is superb. Dr. Santiago treats your pets as if they were his own. He is patient and answers all your questions. I would recommend them to everyone.

Ive taken my cats to this Doc for 6 years. Hes taken great care of them and has been flexible with my appointments and charged me fairly. The wait can be long, but its worth it imo.
