2/25/2010 10:20 am. This has been my Vet since I got my dog two years ago. This is also my vet for my two cats. I have always paid during my visit, cash. Today I called to see if my friend could bring my dog because there is something wrong with him, crying all night pulling its own hair of of its tail. I called the vet to see if I could pay with my credit card over the phone and allow my friend to bring my dog, being I am at work and can not leave. The vet said no because he doesnt want to accept a credit card over the phone. I tried to explain numerous times that he is my vet and knows us and knows I have never ever had any kind of problem with a payment and the onlt reason i am even asking to do it this way is because my friend does not have the money on him to cover the visit. I would understand if he wasnt my vet or didnt accept credit cards but come on now. I even asked for him to hold my dog until I get out of work at 5:00 but he said he would be closed by then. Meanwhile now my dog will have to suffer until Tuesday when I am off, 5 more days...unless I find a vet that will allow me to pay him like this.

We came to this office because we had a low-cost spay certificate, but disliked the office so much we brought our second cat elsewhere. The front room reeks of animal urine (yes, I understand its a vet office, but Ive been in plenty of CLEAN vets offices that did not smell this way). I found the staff to be indifferent and the Doctor to be distracted. After bringing my un-fussy girl cat back twice to have her spay wound re-sewn (the first time she slept on the way home, no movement, and I looked in the carrier and saw it was open!) , the second visit was in my presence and he stapled her with no anesthesia. It seemed like a horribly drawn-out and painful experience for something that is supposed to be done fairly quickly and methodically. She is still sensitive about anything touching her stomach, over a year later. If youd like to draw your own conclusions, take a drive by the office, look at the way it is kept and smell the front room. It would make any pet lover hesitate, if not leave.

Brought my cat here for what appeared to be ringworm. Doctor Manuel was confident it was bacterial. After two weeks of antibiotics she got worse so we brought her back and he insisted it wasnt ringworm, prescribing instead prednisone and diagnosing an allergy. It was clearly ringworm (we had started treating it successfully with lotrimine) - so we sought a second opinion, and we were correct. Doctor Manuel didnt event bother doing a culture or a wood lamp test. The wood lamp test would have been an easy (no-brainer) way to screen ringworm. In short Doctor Manuel was not very through and did not consider our opinion. I would not take my cat back here.

Ive been taking both of my dogs to Dr. Manuel for the past 7 years and I cannot say enough kind words about him. Ive recommended many of my friends to him and they all love him the same. He is caring, knowledgeable, and always takes time to teach about any issues either of my dogs may have. Without fancy diagnostic machines in his office he was able to accurately diagnose a fully torn ACL and a herniated disc in my dogs spine. He referred me to red bank for further testing, and low and behold he was spot on. Hes a great vet and offers great pricing. Highly recommended!

Ive been taking my pets (a dogs & cats) to Dr. Manuel for over 10 yrs and have received nothing but the best care at the most reasonable prices! Yes, his office isnt flashy, but I dont take my pets to see his office. I highly recommend him! He is caring & compassionate & wont rip you off. A standard office visit is still only about $45.00!! But the care he gives is priceless!!

Very disappointed. I badly needed a syringe to give my cat her meds. Although I had just transferred all her records over and had paid $45 for a visit, he wouldnt give me a cheap little syringe because I didnt get the meds through him. He didnt care at all about her getting her meds, just saving a dime. I told him he lost a patient. He didnt even seem to care about that.

Dr manny is a great vet and I think reasonably priced .. I have brought all 3 of my dogs to him Boston schipperke and cane corso... he always gentle with my dogs and I have recommended him to my family and friends who also now continues to bring their dogs to him ...

Dr Manuel has been our Vet since we moved to Old Bridge many years ago. He is a kind, knowledgable and caring person whos not out to take you to the cleaners ...unlike some of the others in this area.
