My 3 year old has only been here 3 times and i will never take her back. The 1st time comong for a teeth cleaning they strapped her down. Did x rays.Said she had no cavities .The 2nd visit they refused to let me go in the back. They said she had over 6 cavities and that they were so bad that she needed caps. We go in to get two of the caps put on and they make me wait in the waiting room yet again. At this point i can hear my daughter screaming bloody murder. I go to the desk and ask if its my child and theu reassure me that its not. I ask if i can go in the back. No yet again. At this point im freaking out. I know its my kid. They finally bring her out with her cheek swollen and blood everywhere on her face. They tell me that the laughing gas didnt work.that they strapped her down and had to numb her.. ok so did theu continue to drill after the gas didnt Work?? Why did the gas not work. I signed a release form multiple times for her medical records to be transferred to abc dental and they never had it on file and refused to release them. She was traumatized and i took her to abc dental after that. They said she has no cavities and doesnt need any caps. Smile starters is doimg unnecessary dental work for insurance claims. Please do not take your child here

This is a dental kid mill not a dentist office. While my son had an abscess tooth they wanted to pull it. I asked them if we should use an antibiotic to treat it first then schedule to pull the tooth another day, they said no and proceeded to pull his tooth. When he came out (they dont allow you in the back with your child) he was crying and distraught. He told me he could feel the whole thing. When I confronted the Hygenist to ask about this she proceeded to tell me when there is an abscess the tooth is less subsceptable to the numbing agent. So why pull his tooth knowing this? I asked for a dentist who agreed we should have treated the infection first but also continued to defend his hygenist decsion. Later we found there was a fragment of the tooth left that they didnt get. Every visit was at least a half day spent waiting. They always wanted to pull a tooth when I took my son. I have since found Dr.Josh Paynich at Best Bites. They accept health choice, are fast friendly and professional. Wish I knew about him years ago.

We always wait for a long time to be seen at every visit. The hygeinist who did our sons cleaning is great with kids and made them feel safe and have a good experience but I cant remember her name. I scheduled a special appointment for my son with special needs because his teeth all of a sudden started changing colors pretty much overnight and we were concerned so we took him there for an appt. We waited over an hour to be seen and when I went and asked the receptionist why it was taking so long she said well other patients have priority over him even though their appts were scheduled after his . This didnt make any sense to me and they didnt take my son having to wait way longer than other patients into consideration and he is only 2 1/2. Also I never got to talk to a dentist about his teeth. They didnt have an answer and sent him home without any further advice. Other places take Medicaid. We are going to a different pediatric dentist this next visit.

I though that this was a grate office. Dont really like the pappus they use on smaller kids. They use it if you give them permission or not. My 3 year old is terrified and told me they strapped her down. Now I can mention going to the dentist and she just starts screaming and runs to her room and says no really loud. Was just thier with my son to get his last cavity done. After the visit of fixing that tooth they told me he had 3 more cavities??? I was like what how can he have 3 cavities in the amount of 2 months?? Sometimes dont seem right. So I am going to check out this place down to the bottom. If they are using my medicade to just get money or easy money..they will be sorry (just saying)

I attend this dentist for my appointments, simply because my medicaid pays for it. I dont attend because the service is good. If I said the service here was good, that would be the biggest lie of my life. They always run late, the dentists are rough and rude, and there is no privacy. Heres a tip: NEVER GET DR. CARLOS IF YOU GO HERE. He is the dentist that has always done my fillings until recently when I refused to have him. Hes rough, he hurts, and hes extremely rude. He doesnt care about how youre feeling or if your mouth is numb before he starts his procedures. All around, they are good at cleaning your teeth and giving away toys, but I do not recommend.

Took my 17 month old son to have his teeth cleaned, was told if his teeth needed caps, fillings or extractions, they would strap his to this horrific thing called a papoose board and he would have to be held down during the procedures, and i wasnt allowed to see him at all during it. Its a torture technique and Im finding another dentist for my son that can put him out if need be. They were hateful, judgemental, and the reception staff barely spoke english. Dont take any child under the age of 9 or 10 to them unless you dont mind them being strapped to a backboard for any dental work other than cleanings.

Update: Dr. Ray called. She was apologetic & sincere. She didnt have to call me, she just did. I raised my review solely because of her. Worst office ever! Waste of time! Had me wait 45 minutes, just to tell me they couldnt see my child. Do not listen to parents, I told them the special needs my child had before we went in & was assured they could see her, their either didnt care or didnt actually listen, and an entire morning was wasted. Also they lock their bathroom doors, and make you get a key from reception, thats just weird for a childrens dental office.

Awful. They are rude, they dont allow parents in with children which blows my mind. Scared my child to death. I am so upset that I didnt research other childrens dentist before I just went here. They are so many wonderful other places to go. Biltmore Family Dentistry and Blue Ridge Pediatric Dentistry take Medicaid. They make you feel like theres no other place for you to go if you have Medicaid and its not true. Take your Children somewhere else, I beg of you! DONT GO HERE!!!

This office is a great place. The dentists does everything in her power to make the visit pleasant for the children. The staff is remarkable and try their hardest. Please dont listen to all these negative reviews. They see a lot of patients and truly dedicate their time to each case. They are knowledgeable in their techniques and if they inform and get consent from the parent before they perform ANY procedures including the papoose! They truly do care about the community.
