This maybe a good place if you are rich enough! I came in on 7/2017 because I was referred by a emergency doctor at brookwood to the foundry dental, UAB and Birmingham health care. The only one that seemed reasonable for me in my situation was The Foundry. I was drawn by a statement on their website "if you are in pain and have NO MONEY, you are our kind of patient"- The Foundry dental center. Of course I was in pain with a decaying impacted wisdom tooth, a completely cracked decaying molar lets not forget infected, was told 6 other teeth would need extracting as well. However being 4 1/2 months pregnant I had to get permission, got it, came back and too my luck they were asking for $60+ for each tooth..??? So when I question the statement on their website the brunette at the desk says " oh we dont do that anymore the site needs to be updated " ...what??? I live in north Birmingham so its not a free ride to bessemer...i am a full time student, pregnant and have a 4yr old and in excruciating pain and I received no help except antibiotics, Thank God those were free!! I cant work a freaking job due to the level of pain, cant rest and still have to get up and tend to a active 4 yr old, I feel like I live in a hell on earth. Even when I had dental insurance (cigna) with my job i paid $75 for an extraction, so what low cost dental is being offered here? None...so if you dont have money and need assistance this is NOT the place for you !! Nothings free nobody does anything from the heart anymore,if I were offered the services and allowed to make arrangements that would have worked as I would have been able to get a job and make those payments. But hey Im just a nobody in excruciating pain, thats gone let yall know dont waist your gas unless you got the money.

TERRIBLE!!! Front desk staff are mostly aloof. They cant answer simple questions. They act like trainees with no supervision. I went there for a tooth ache. After x-rays I saw a doctor (I tkink) that looked at my teeth and determined I needed full dentures. He ammidiatly went for his price sheet forgetting my pain. I settled on a procedure and took me to front desk for an appointment. The appointment girl did not know how to find me in the computer. The person that entered my data used my last name first. My new patient sheet asked for last name first first name last. I felt I was in a McDonalds drive through. Dr Davis saw me on my appointment. I dont feel he had any experience at all. He looked over my chart and saw I was there for extractions. He deadend some of my teeth an started asking question about my health and determined that my heart doctor had to send a letter saying it was OK to do the work. By this time I was very frustrated, but continued on with with his instructions. Why did not the Dr (?) on my first visit not discuss my health issues? For over 6 weeks my time has been wasted because of enaficiency of staff. I would not recommend this practice for dental work. Also, they are not that affordable.

If I could give more stars I would , the staff and doctors are courteous and professional not to mention very well qualified but the reason Id give more stars is because Ive been to a lot of different places for dental work in Birmingham, the foundry and another dentist are the only ones who truly care about there patients thats a rare thing these days.

Love my dentist but hes moving on soon. Ill miss him. Wish he would start his own office in Heuytown AL!

Good place if u dont have insurance. Have to get there at 8:00 am they dont make appt
