My husband recently went from the inefficient VA healthcare system to the civilian system, and insurance assigned him to Dr. Concepcion. After his first visit, he remarked, "You would like her, shes a straight-shooter and explains things really well." I switched to her as well and all I can say is he was right! (A very rare thing for a husband to enjoy, lol.) My mother passed away at a young age and I grew up hearing how important it is to be checked out, because so many disease processes are treatable early on, but can be fatal if left to fester too long. That said, after turning 30, I turned hypochondriac, terrified that any ache or pain would be my untimely end. My previous PCP blew everything off, "You are a 30-year-old woman, statistically any illness you think you have is in your mind." I began thinking I was crazy, for lack of a better word. Dr. Concepcion listened to my concerns... she sat and listened to me for well over 20 minutes, which is practically a year in doctor time!... and ordered tests, assuring me that if there was something to be found, wed find it. If, however, the tests showed I was healthy she wanted me to promise to be thankful for this gift of health and to enjoy it to the fullest. Done deal. All my blood tests came back beautifully. Physiologically, I have something called inappropriate sinus tachycardia and it can be symptomatic when not managed. Dr Concepcion manages it perfectly. I havent had any episodes since switching to her, and I sincerely appreciate that my doctor cared enough to truly hear me out, look under every rock and stone to make sure something pernicious wasnt lurking, and I am so thankful for my health! I wouldnt trust anyone else to keep an eye on that, because I know she is on top of everything. I cannot tell you the burden that shes lifted from my shoulders. Im not sickly, life is good, and I dont have to live in constant fear of the horrors Web MD promises I am dying from, lol. I dont know if doctors ever read their reviews, but if they do-thank you so much, Dr. Concepcion. For everyone else, I highly recommend her. She treats not only the disease (or lack thereof), but the person. What a find! I hope some big city doesnt snatch her away from our small town! By the way, I was feeling sick and running a fever... the office got me in that very day, and I finally met the PA. She is just as great. I really liked her. She made a lot information palatable for the average joe, and was also thorough and helpful. She gave me so much more information than most other doctors ever have, and really motivated me to take care of this little molehill before it becomes a mountain. The unsung heroes of any practice are the nurses and the staff. Everyone I have met there is friendly, helpful, and seem happy... no frowning, "is it 5pm yet?" faces on these folks. Im not surprised at all, as the doctor and the PA are so passionate and competent I would imagine they only hire people who are similar. Anyway, this is a gem of an office and if you are new in town or just need a healthcare provider that cares about you, give them a try. Love them!

I WOULD NOT GIVE ANY STARS FOR THIS PLACE!! I was forced to select a star. The entire time I went there i always had to beg them to look into what was wrong and they kept telling me it was STRESS when I had NOTHING TO STRESS ABOUT! Time after time they tried giving me medication instead of helping me find what was wrong. After sometime went on i developed thyroid and I only found this out because I had went to the ER because this doctor ignored everything I would tell her. I later had got an ultrasound (ER set the referral) down showing I needed an biopsy for a mass that was found on the ultrasound. So i scheduled an appointment to get it done with her, I called a few times to make sure my ins covered the procedure. SO I go to the appointment and the staff member says "where is it so i can prep?" I said "its my thyroid, its inside my neck", she then informed me that they do not to that procedure there.. LIKE HOW did you guys not know that when I called a few times to reserve it and make sure that my ins would cover it.. SO, the doctor walks in and apologize that they do not to that procedure there and said "do you trust me to refer to a doctor that can?" I said "of course i do!" SO, the doctor that she referred me to did NOT even do THYROID BIOPSY! UNBELIEVABLE!!! long story short..... I got my results in at 12pm on a Friday, I called to see if i could get my results, the front desk said that the nurse practitioner (which i love her shes super sweet!) would be calling me. 2pm comes along and nothing SO I called again, she said the NP has not see the results and she would call back. 3:30pm they said the same and I stressed that its Friday and its unfair for me to wait to see if I have cancer over the next few days is brutal.. at 4:30 i called and they said that the DOCTOR AND NURSE LEFT for the day!!! How the hell does that happen?? SO I TOLD HER SHE NEEDS TO WAIT UNTIL I SEND MY MOTHER OUT THERE TO PICK UP MY RESULTS AND IF THEY NEED TO WAIT UNTIL 5:10 THEN NEED TO WAIT 5: 10! My mom kept knocking in the door and no answer!! NOW IM MAD!! I WILL BE TAKING MY FILES AND NEVER GOING BACK! I wonder if these girls that work there are even certified, how dont you (appointment desk) not know that you dont do thyroid biopsy there.. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, THE STAFF AND THE DOCTOR!! Nurse Practitioner has always been helpful to me..

I can say that I have not gotten to even see the doctor. The staff seems unorganized. I had an appointment in which the nurse practitioner saw me a few weeks ago. I did notice that as a new patient I was not given a form asking for family history. When I was put in the room, the nurse practitioner was writing what I was telling her on a small piece of paper. She gave me a script for labwork and said the next appointment that I had would be with the doctor. A week after I had my bloodwork, no one called me, so I called them and it turned out that I had an infection in which antibiotics were prescribed. Had I not called, I would not have known. I scheduled a follow up with the doctor and they told me if would be with the NP. I said no and scheduled one for a later date. I went in today for my appointment only to be told that I did not have one. I actually called 2 days ago to confirm it myself, however they did not show it. In another instance, I was supposed to have a nerve testing procedure on my hand as I am experiencing some numbness. They were supposed to call me with pricing. They did not call me until it was time to confirm the appointment. I had to cancel that appointment. I am now waiting for Brenda to call me back becuase she is supposedly speaking to the doctor about my labwork from 2 weeks ago. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. Thank goodness minutes are free on my cell phone. So basically, I believe there is a doctor there, however I have yet to see her or hear anything back from her through her staff. I was switching to this office because my past doctor is further away, however, I think that I will go ahead and pay for the gas and go back. This is just my expereince with them. I dont normally post reviews, however, I felt I needed to vent and let people know about this office.
