I came to this clinic because they have extremely reasonable prices on X-rays for animals. I had been to 3 different vet visits in a matter of a 5 days to find out whats wrong with my furbaby. I will go back not just for prices but for their expert care, compassion, and knowledge. My cats limbs stopped working three days after she was spayed (about a week and a half ago). She has been lethargic with black runny eyes, is in pain, dehydrated (has had two IVs administered in the last week), wouldnt eat or drink, and had a 105 degree fever. I had gone to an Animal ER in Denton the night before going to PetSavers (3rd visit to a vet in a week). I received a quote for $1,238, which included: 1.IV fluids 2.two views of X-rays 3. full blood panel 4. Antibiotics 5. Cat cone I couldnt afford this, and they ended up administering a small amount of fluids through an IV, doing partial blood work and giving one shot of antibiotics for $300. They could not diagnose her, or tell me what was wrong with her. They said it was probably terminal and thought it could be FIP. Im not giving up though... I called Pet Savers the next morning, on a Sunday, and they fit me into their fully booked schedule. AND for $368 (!!!!) my cat received the most comprehensive treatment I could imagine: 1. full blood work panel which showed us her blood counts 2. two views of X-rays 3. Test for Feline AIDS and Leukemia 4. Administered an IV of fluids 5. Take home IV and they gave a full instructional class of how to administer while I was at the office. They Included all the additional items needed to complete this in a santitary and safe way. 6. gave me special cat food (with a special cap for the can!) 7. taught me how to syringe feed 8.got her fever down from 105 to 103 9. gave me a diagnosis 10. medicine to treat her They are not only more economical than Banfield, SPCA, and my family vet but I would say they are the kindest people I have met on this journey to heal this sweet cat. Everyone in the office- From the front staff to the Doctor showed compassion and care to my animal and to me. Their positivity, expertise and detailed critical thinking saved my cat. Two hours after I left PetSavers my cat hopped into her favorite basket. This seems like no biggie to most, but her legs havent been working, and she hasnt been moving. Before I went in she couldnt lift her paw to scratch her face. Im tearing up as I type this, because Im so grateful for the people that helped her today. Shes part of our family and Pet Savers made sure it would stay that way. I would highly recommend! If I could give 378273 stars I would! Thanks PetSavers!

Came in for a second opinion on my 10yr old dogs diagnosis of a heart murmur by Hillside Veterinary Clinic (Dallas). Although we didnt have a bad experience at Hillside, we paid exorbitant fees and left not much more informed other than to immediately put our dog on 3 medications or to consider euthanasia. So we felt like we needed to go to a better vet for our aging dogs condition to be properly monitored & treated, who actually were concerned and would follow up with us. We had several instances where Hillside did not return our calls or a vet was unavailable to answer questions when we would come in for med refills unless we made an appointment. Heard of Vetsavers by word of mouth through a friend who uses them. I had heard many good things about Dr Mace but we saw Dr Stillie who fit us in the SAME DAY! He confirmed the heart condition & was amazingly detailed over things of his condition I didnt know, medications & easily explained their purposes and calmed us by saying that the original med regimen was appropriate. We were also astounded to learn of 2 additional problems with my dog that the Hillside vet never mentioned that had to be immediately treated. I also loved that their "lab/back room" is entirely visible through glass from the lobby or from the exam rooms. While waiting for the dr to look at an infection under a microscope, I literally could see him doing that through the glass from our exam room. I was thrilled with my visit and made me feel like we couldnt wait to come back to see the dr. I think my only complaint was that although our first visit was free, the costs of what we were walking out to pay were not made clear. I did want to note that the vet did ask our approval for a $35 scientology (microscope) fee that ended up being $48 on the final invoice. Front desk said the vet wasnt correct in quoting me that price and wouldnt change it. Also I had no idea the final bill with ear cleanser and antibiotics it would cost $152! All in all, the prices were quite reasonable so I suggest before agreeing to the vets "plan of action", make sure you question the vet if fits in your plan of budget!!! Ask for the cost tally before you walk out of the examination room! Frankly I think it would really set Vetsavers apart if they talk about treatment budgeting since this is what they specifically promote of themselves.

I was recommended to go to VetSavers by a friend of mine who goes there for her pets. Prior to me even scheduling an appointment I called the office on a Thursday morning, twice and didnt get a call back until the next day. I had an appointment scheduled for 10am and was told to show up early for paper work. I arrived at 9:40, gave them my dog shot records and was told it was only going to be a few minutes. 3 other people who came in AFTER me were seen within 20 min. Around 1030 a gentleman came in with his dog and said he had an appointment at 1030 and was brought in right away. The receptionist then came and said that she was sorry for the delay and I reminded her that my appointment was for 10 oclock. It was almost after 11. Me an my dog were finally taken back after another 15 min. The vet tech came in and checked my dog and asked me what shots shes had. She began to tell me about the different booster shots and tests that were recommended. When she was the discussing heart worm prevention, I told her I was pretty sure she was on something, then questioned me and asked if I even knew what heartworms are? I thought that was very rude for her to say to me. She also kept questioning my dogs exposure to wildlife which I told her none, mainly because she is a 8lb Chihuahua mix who is primarily inside. The tech and Dr were very condescending towards me and questioned why my dogs tempt was elevated. I told her that she was probably still nervous since she was whining and clinging to me while we were in the waiting room for over an hour. Overall, the experience wasnt a great one. I scheduled a follow up for another booster shot in 3 weeks, but I will most likely cancel and find a more reputable vet that I can take my pet to.

Those bad reviews are not coming from nowhere!! After visiting this hospital this afternoon, I really agree with those one star ratings. I came because my dog has skin problem. At first, the nurse told me that my dog need to take heart worm medication for prevention purpose, and I agreed to purchase that medicine. Then, the nurse told me the doctor need to do skin scratching test to make sure whether my dog has a type of mite which can cause skin problems. After 10 minutes, the doctor came in and did blood test very quick, and then she told me that the blood test was to check whether my dog has heart worm! I mean, they did not even check with me whether I need it, and just did it without explanation! I wish I told them right away that I didnt order blood test!!! After blood test, she did skin scratching test, and then few minutes later she told me my dog has the type of mite. Before I left, she gave me a one-time oral medicine for the mite. After arriving home, I read the medication description and found out that the medicine was a monthly flea and ticks treatment!!!!!! HOW RIDICULOUS! I really feel in the whole precess they were not trying to help my dog with his skin problem, but trying to do some unnecessary tests and sell medicines to me. I drove 30 minutes because of my dogs skin problem and I came back home with a heart worm medicine and a monthly flea medicine!! Thats so frustrating and ridiculous. Even though they were super nice to people, but I just dont like the way they make money. I DONT RECOMMEND this place, and I wont come again for sure!!! People will think they provide low cost service here, however believe me, they wont help solving problems.
