I have taken my cats to Dr. Gray for the last several years. Each time has been an exceptionally positive experience, even when the news was bad and my cats health was declining. Every staff member is kind, helpful, and shows an obvious love of animals. While I have always enjoyed taking my pets to them, their compassion is abundantly evident when the news is bad. Over a year ago I took a cat to them and he tested positive for FIV and was in obvious decline. Though the news was difficult, the advise (not euthanasia) was excellent and in the best interest of both the cat and my family. A couple of months ago, we lost a second cat while we were on vacation. The person watching our house did not realize he had gotten out when the door was left open. Before knowing our cat was killed, I called the clinic and was able to get the microchip ID as well as the number to call and report him missing. Once it was discovered he had died, they showed a great deal of compassion in handling the necessary details of his death. However, the main reason Im writing this review is for the events of this past weekend. We got a kitten to replace the cat that died while we were on vacation. Within three days of bringing her home, she quit eating and had labored breathing. I brought her to Dr. Gray and he explained that she was most likely not going to live. Long story short, he was in a position to charge me an awful lot of money to care for this cat or send me home to care for her and my special needs children would most likely watch her die. Instead he suggested keeping her at the clinic and they would feed, monitor, and care for her until she got better (which was unlikely given her diagnosis) or until I had time to access the situation and make the best decision for her and our family. After Dr. Gray discovered she had died he called me on a Sunday, and spent a good amount of time discussing when and how she most likely became sick. At no time did I feel as though money was an issue and when I received the bill, I was shocked at how little he charged for a diagnosis and caring for her. This is definitely an exceptional clinic. Dr. Gray has very good people skills and works extremely well with animals. He also knows how to balance someones family situation and love and care for their pet with realistic expectations of their recovery. In each instance when weve had to make tough decisions I feel as though the advice was sound and what needed to be done. I highly recommend this clinic.

We are so blessed to have Timber Valley as our vet. We have an eclectic group of animals and each time we have visited they have treated our animals with great care. I have a hard time believing that Timber Valley or Dr. Grey would be considered Abusive or Neglectful. We have a 13 year old cat and she decided that she was not going to eat. We took her into Timber Valley and in the care of Dr. Grey. He kept her over night for observation and ran blood test. When we went back in to visit him, he was very upfront about what he thought might be going on with her. He told us that she her symptoms were that of either an intestine infection or it could be the start of cancer. He informed us of what our options where and told us that either way, he was going to treat her the same way. He asked if we could bring her in each day for observation for a week - just so he could make sure she was eating properly. At night they would send us home with specific instructions on how to feed her and how to get her to eat. Thank goodness, it all worked and she began eating again. When she was home for good, he would call and check up on her. We knew that she was in the right care. Two months later, we boarded her when we went out of town because she showed signs of not eating again. He ran blood work again and took wonderful care of her. When we took our newest lab in for a check up, Dr. Grey inquired about our cat and asked us to bring her back in for a check up just to see how she was progressing. We are so grateful for Dr. Grey and the staff at Timber Valley. Between our old cat, our crazy chocolate lab and our newest edition - our rescued yellow lab - the entire staff and doctors there have been helpful, welcoming, informed, compassionate and caring. We would not trust our animals to any other vet.

On December 28th & 29th I brought my little dog into Timber Valley Pet Hospital in Lewisville because she had had several blood transfusions and I was directed by the Emergency Clinic to bring her to a vet to have her watched during the day. Dr. Grey was her doctor. He was due to check Buffys (my dog) blood throughout the day to monitor her anemia. I also informed them to feed her on a paper plate because thats what she is used to. They assured me that she would be well taken care of. At 3pm I called to check on her blood count and they hadnt performed it! They told me not to call back and they would let me know what it was when I picked her up at 5pm. When I arrived, she hadnt eaten, pottied, and seemed quite distressed. Dr Grey put us in a room for over an hour to wait and we fed her which she accepted quite eagerly. Dr Grey was quite direct and told me that she was going to die and he did NOT treat animals with this condition. He was very rude and I have a feeling that she had been neglected most of the day. He says he didnt treat animals with this condition but he was eager to get paid for doing nothing. My dog is now dead and, although she was not in his care when she passed away, I feel he could have been more caring while she was there. I feel I should be reimbursed for this abusive, neglectful behavior. If this had been a human he would have seen his day in court.

Terrible employee. I realize this is not a shelter , today at 7:30 am I found a wondering dog so I did what any good person would do, take him to a animal hospital or somewhere that is suppose to provide CARE and or treatment to animals. I ask this girl that looked like she just rolled out of bed n hasnt brushed her teeth or washed her hair for days (hope she works kennel not in front). This no good employee you have said that she cant help and once I asked her if this is an animal clinic or hospitals she just told me bye and started waving her hand talking under her breath. As place that is suppose to provide care to pets she made it look real good. She said she did not care about the well being of the dog and didnt care if I allowed him to run free. So let the dog get hit by a car or allow a kid get bit or attacked by a dog this size. Thanks for helping the community. This girl is the reason people dont trust some clinics, so is it about the care of the creatures that some of us went to school for so long to care for or the fact that no money was coming in the clinic. Thank you and hope this gets figured out, or she gets fired.
