We will be taking our records and leaving tomorrow: This has been the worst vet experience we have ever had. My fiance and I are a young couple and were treated like idiots, taken advantage of, and treated as if we had no clue as to what was going on. From the beginning, I was judged for bringing my 8 week old wolf hybrid puppy to their veterinary service and was questioned on my ability to handle his breed. YOU KIDDING ME? He is an incredible dog and continues to be nothing but a loving family member. They completed a "physical" by taking Jaxx in the back where I could not see him and not more than 5 minutes later returned. They did not tell me what he weighed, how he looked, or if they saw any problems with his weight (which was an issue from the breeder originally). They gave him the Bordetella shot, in addition to his first round, when I asked them not to, because we wont be placing him in a kennel anytime soon so I wanted to hold off. They did it anyway and charged me for it afterwards in addition to everything else. Good thing I brought a stool sample with me, when I scheduled the appointment the staff did not tell me to bring a sample (but I have owned many dogs before, so I found it weird and did anyway). If I didnt, we wouldnt have found out the bad news.... We then found out that Jaxx had Coccidia which was most likely also from the breeder. We then went to pick up the medication and the woman at the front desk (Sam- shes awful and knows nothing, actually asked me "what medication" like I was supposed to know the official name) and after that another heavyset woman told me that she could NOT give me the medication. EXCUSE ME? She stated that no one had entered his weight (from that incredible 80 dollar physical I had previously paid for and the number was lost/not recorded). She stated they would not give us the medication incase they overdosed or under dosed him. She said we had to bring him back. Keep in mind, my fiance called earlier that day to make sure we didnt have to bring him so we could stop by after work... And there we were driving all the way back to Houston to bring our puppy so they could weigh him, AGAIN something that was already supposed to be done. On top of that we were not given enough of the medication, so the last day he did not receive the full dosage! To make matters worse, we brought Jaxxs stool and our other dog Moxxis stool on Wednesday as well to make sure both were okay and nothing was transferred between babies. We were told we would receive a call the NEXT DAY and that would have been Thursday. It is now Saturday and after calling AGAIN (because I also called Friday as well) they proceeded to tell us that BOTH dogs now have Coccidia and in the vet records it showed someone had already called us. We never received one phone call from them. We are DONE, leaving, and honestly I would never recommend this vet to anyone. It is a nice looking facility that fronts a terrible, expensive vet practice run by awful and unexperienced staff.

they basically killed my dog. we honestly think they over dosed her. but she was expensive and they can pay for our new dog. I FLIPPING HATE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! IF YOU SEE THIS NEVER GO HERE. My family is thinking about sewing yall to so good luck. but this dog was sick for one day then we brought her to you and shes GONE all of a sudden. Yeah i dont think so. if i wasnt a follower of God then probably all of those doctors would have black eyes by now, also it didnt help because my grandpa just passed away on march 6, 2017 which makes the situation even worse. Thanks for basically ruining my life. i recommend to never take you pet here and if you already take your pet here then reconsider. heres the story, so my mom took valentine to safari because we could tell she wasnt feeling that good. they gave a prescription and we followed the directions and we went home. then we looked at her yesterday(march 28th) and we realized that she wouldnt even get out of her kennel. so we took her to the pet hospital section of safari. my mom wanted to stay with her but they refused to let her. my mom had to pick us up from something and she wanted to see her before she left just so the dog wouldnt think that she just left her with these people. the doctor came out and gave my mom an update and he said she was doing much better. so my mom asked AGAIN if she could run and see her real quick. the doctor said alright but he said to hang on a moment while he cleans up the room a bit because they were rushing around. so my mom waited for no longer than 2 minutes when the doctor came out and told her that our dog had just quit breathing. that does not just happen in 2 minutes and plus the doctor said that she was doing much better. it is redicolus and we will NEVER step foot in this horrid place unless we have come to sew.

We have recently had a very wonderful experience at Safari - made out of a not so fortunate situation with our 1 year old puppy who came down with parvovirus. In panic mode at an early hour, I was able to get in contact with Safaris emergency vet clinic to assist me with the transfer/boarding from another overnight emergency specialist clinic. She was very nice and understanding of the urgency of my situation and told me to bring my puppy to them right away. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles and that heart-warming feeling everyone wants to feel when taking their animal to the vet. After speaking with office personnel for check-in, we were then introduced to Lori, a wonderful, caring, vet technician whom was very knowledgeable with the treatment and process for bringing our pup back to good health from this nasty virus. Our puppy stayed with Safari for 4 days and we received phone calls (morning and afternoon) with updates and progress. We were also encouraged to stop by and visit him anytime during business hours to check up on our little guy. Mid-day on his fourth day of stay we were notified we would be able to pick him up to take home and that his parvo test came back negative!! Bathed, groomed, and full of energy, we picked him up that afternoon! It was beyond relief to receive such great news, so quickly (knowing how extensive the process can be). I just want to give a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at Safari Animal Care Center, especially Lori and Dr.Garner for the great care and service you have provided to us and our four-legged kid. We truly appreciate all you have done for us!

The care our little black & tan miniature daschund, Greta, received was outstanding! We saw the video on Safaris website of Scout and it was just awesome. After seeing the Scout video, my husand spoke with Dr. Murphy, who was so very helpful and explained the entire procedure. Dr. Murphy stayed in contact with us and answered all questions from beginning to end. We drove from Williamsburg, VA to Safaris Clinic in League City, Texas. On June 2nd, 2016 (Thursday), Greta ruptured a disk in her spine and ended up with her back legs paralyzed; she had surgery in Richmond, Virginia on June 3rd (Friday) and she was released on Sunday, June 5th. June 6th (Monday) we left for the long drive to Texas and had her in Safaris office on Wednesday morning (June 8th) and Dr. Murphy started her stem cell harvesting and first injection (Greata had two stem cell treatments about a week apart). Ms. Garner was her Physical Therapist and Greta fell in love with her. Ms. Garner truly loves her patients and gives them her all. Greta is a barker - the stem cell therapy didnt fix that (lol!) She barked at everyone but Ms. Garner, Greta just loved her! Greta responded so well to the stem cell treatment (Greta is home and improving every day! The care and love she received from Dr. & Mrs. Garner, Dr. Murphy and their entire staff was the best! I can highly recommend Safari Veterinary Care Center for their medical expertise, love and caring they have for their patients! I cannot thank them all enough for giving us our little Greta this chance to walk again!
