I was referred to Pariser through Tricare. The first doctor (Dr. DeHart) suggested I super glue my skin back together. I immediately switched doctors in the same practice. The second doctor (Kaija Mauro) was amazing! Knew what she was looking at and had my skin healed within a few days (about 1-2 weeks, which was good considering how bad my eczema was). One day for my appointment with her, she had transferred to WMBG and I transferred up there so I didnt have to have switch doctors again. After the first appointment in WMBG (when everything was going smoothly), I was transferred to Dr. Amanda Waggoner. Upon the first meeting with Dr. Waggoner, she changed my medication because she thought it wasnt working like it should (I did not tell her it wasnt working and I merely needed a refill of the same medication Dr. Mauro prescribed me). She changed it anyways and tried to put me on something stronger that needed a prior auth. and needed to get blood work done in order to receive it. I did so within the same week and called the office to tell them to go ahead and put in the prior auth. I have NEVER been so pissed off to call the same office 8 times for the same results. I went an entire month without the medications I needed for my skin (which quickly returned back to its old state). Frustrated and in pain from cracking skin, I went to my next appt. I told Dr. Waggoner what happened and she said "Well, did you call the office?" I told her yes and if i could just have my old medications back, it would be great. She gets huffy and says " well, I was under the impression the old medication wasnt working. Thats what you told me." I have never said anything of the sort so I just let it go and asked her to refill my old Rx. She agreed and told me she wanted to see me in 6 months. I am not going back. Ever.

Thought I made an appointment with a doctor. I surely paid to see a specialist. I saw a PA. She took a swab of a lesion on my scalp. Was told that I would get a call about the results. I might note that my full treatment was dependent on this. After about a week passed, no call. I called to find out the results. The receptionist on the phone was rude. I asked why they had not called me. She said they would have called me if the results showed something that would kill me. Really! I guess they have too many patients and this is an example of the care and concern they provide. I stopped by the office, got my record, and went on my way. When I am paying to see a doctor. I want to see one! When a test is done that my insurance company and I am paying for, I would like the results before I die! Find somewhere else to go!

I had a horrible break out on my face, I couldnt go to school or work. I saw the doctor (I dont remember who) and she had no idea what it was and just called it "dermatitis". After receiving no help or reliefe, I went to urgent care and they prescribed me a medication that cleared up my rash within a week. Since then I have had more break outs of "dermatitis" and have attempted to contact my doctor to ask questions and have not received one call in return even though their office says all calls will be returned between 24/48 hours. I would not recommend this office to anybody in need to urgent attention, or anyone at all really. Im very disappointed in the service, especially considering the bill that came for a less than 3min consultation where the doctor basically said "I have no idea. Good luck with that."

Six months I called to schedule an appointment and was told there was a three-month wait. I schedule the appointment. Due to unexpected travel I had to reschedule and was told once again that nothing was available until three months later. A week before my appointment I got a call from the office advising that the doctor would not be in the office the day of my scheduled visit. When I asked about rescheduling, she said, "....ummmm. It does not look like there are any openings...." I do not think that Pariser Dermatology Specialists are too concerned about new patients. I told them to simply delete my name from their register. Ill find a new dermatologist.

I had a semi-annual skin check with doctor in Williamsburg office in April 2015. She did not detect anything. I am now in New Zealand. I had a routine check up in Nov with a GP. He was concerned about a few spots and so I went to a skin specialist here. He judged that one spot on my neck was a melanoma. Surgery proved him right and it was removed. I consider the doctor I saw was incompetent to identify a melanoma skin cancer. I would never return to this practice!

My husband has been going to Pariser Dermatology in Williamsburg for several years. Prior to that we had experienced some pretty awful dermatologists (Musgrave, Corvette). When we met Dr. Kaija Mauro at Pariser we were so impressed with her demeanor and knowledge. Each time we go to Pariser (Williamsburg) we have been so pleasantly greeted and remembered! We really cant recommend Dr. Mauro highly enough. We feel very lucky to be in her care.

Had been going to Dr. Kelly DeHart for over a year. When I called to make a follow-up appointment, I was told he no longer comes to the Williamsburg office, that I had to go to Newport News, the closest alternative. I was never told when last I saw him three months ago that he was leaving. If I am to continue in Williamsburg, I will have to start all over with a new dermatologist with a long wait before seeing that individual. Bad business model.

Made an appointment, first available was 1 month out. Two & a half weeks later I receive a *letter* (not a phone call, nor an email) saying the doctor will be out and I need to reschedule. When calling to reschedule, the next available appointment is almost 2 months away, making it 3 months since contacting them before I can be seen. Id be better off moving to Canada or the UK and getting on the waiting list there.

I would like to take this opportunity to send a great big Thank You to Serena from the Williamsburg Office and Dr. Mendoza from both offices for all of their help and hospitality! I know who I am referring my friends and family to in the future! Thanks again ladies you helped me tremendously and care like yours should not go unnoticed ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Dr Mauro - superb. Courteous yet deliberate during exam. Explained exam process as well as various options for treatments. Provided both positive and negative aspects about each treatment option. Office visit was not rushed and she spent time ensuring all questions and concerns were addressed. Highly recommend

They canceled my appointment 1 hour before, after a 3 month wait, because one of the specialists didnt have power. Needless to say, I didnt receive the cancellation fee that I would have been charged if I did the same thing.

Saw Dr Mauro for a total skin exam. I barely had any wait in the waiting room. No wait in the exam room. Specialists usually take forever, but not here. Pretty happy. Will probably go there again if I need to.
