I just PCS back to the area after being at Camp Lejune for 4 years. First I was assigned to a civilian doctor and they told me I would have to wait until end of December to be seen. I have a complicated medical history and see specialist, ah...that will not work for me! So I called Tricare and they helped place me at this MTF. It is a hike for me as I live almost in Culpeper. First of all I had never been there so I was totally lost and went to the wrong office and was helped by some very nice ladies who steered me in the correct direction. Then once at the correct area I was greeted by another two very nice ladies who joked with me a bit and once got me checked in very quickly and told me to take a seat. I arrived early, not knowing how long it would take to get there. I did notice that everyone seemed like they were being called at their appointment time and no one was waiting long at all. I was also called before my actual appointment time. A nice nurse came, took my vitals and put me in a room. She gathered my data and I waited about 5 minutes and Dr. Malik arrived. She was very through in her exam and told me to make another appointment for me PCS change to get all my meds and referrals taken care of. I had a wrist problem which I was being seen about that day. I got an x-ray, and while there the lady in Radiology was very helpful with setting up a future mammo appointment. She even googled the previous place I had been to out of state because I could not remember the name and did not have the information! She went out of her way to help me! Thank you :) I then went to Ortho to get a splint for my wrist and they were very nice and actually let me choose from 3 which one suited my needs best! I then went to the Pharmacy. The wait was a little long, but by this time it was lunch time and many people were in line and there were only a few seats available. I waited about 45 min and left. Considering the crowd it was not a long wait. Everyone I came in contact was very friendly and helpful and the place is very nice compared to many I have encountered in my fifteen years with Tricare . I hope to be able to get my grandmother assigned to this facility as I believe it is the best I have been to yet! Thanks to everyone that made a great first impression!

I dont know how old some of the reviews here are, but I just got out of my appointment a little over an hour ago, so this is pretty fresh. I had an annual physical checkup with Dr. Alia Malik, my PCP. I arrived early for my appointment and was prepared to read for a bit, but I was called for vitals within about 5 minutes. After that I went into an examining room and was joined by Dr. Malik in less than 10 minutes. She was very professional and thorough. She proceeded with a thorough review of how things are going. We covered everything one would expect for an annual health review and then some. I left, prior to my originally scheduled start time, with a fresh set of referrals, prescriptions, and admonitions and advice for healthier living. I feel like I took a wrong turn when heading to the clinic Ive read about in many of these reviews. My experience was great. Pharmacy was very busy and it took 45 minutes to fill my prescriptions, including the time to check for drug interactions and to give me instructions about how to use them. Not a bad day at the clinic overall.

My wife and I are new to this location. I am a retired Marine and set this clinic to be my families PCM. When my wife attempted to get an appointment to get her port in her arm cleaned out, which can cause blood clots if not cleaned, they said it would take over a month before she could be seen just to be referred to a hematologist. When she explained the situation, the receptionist acted as she could careless about the importance of being seen before then. My wife also attempted to get my son an appointment to get shots before school (August 31) and the receptionist said he could not be seen before mid September. Also instead of helping my wife get a specific phone number to call the receptionist stated that she did not care that we are new to the area and told us just by acronym who is needed to be called. The way my was spoken to was very unprofessional. I am glad I was not the one speaking to he because it would not have gone well.

Nursing staff needs a class on manners and need to learn to listen to the parents. I understand that most clinics have their own way of give shots but when a mom says that it will not work because she knows her child and you give attitude and say it doesnt matter that they will do it their way and the child will learn to deal with it is ridiculous. My 5 yr old was getting shots for kindergarten and I tried to explain that he will need to be held back down knees bent over the edge and any other way will get her hit I was given attitude. And then the dr has no patience what so ever and when I tried to explain why my autistic son needed a referral to a developmental specialist she told me I didnt know what I was talking about. Then told me I was not doing my part when I was supposed to call in the referral and make sure I activate it and set up the appointment myself. I asked then what do I pay her to do if I can do all that myself?

Terrible health care management, all around. Im not at all impressed. Weve been seen in the clinic twice since they became our new PCM. Both times, my concerns were poorly addressed regarding my special needs child. Ive dealt with various members of the medical administration team and was handled no better. Last minute correction after multiple phone calls, from me, by a supervisor, was the only way to get my childs needs met. We are seriously considering switching our child to tricare standard to avoid dealing with this clinic. Ive dealt with many providers, both civilian and military, and have experienced both excellent and poor health care management. This clinic, from what we have experienced has been an example of really poor service. If you are about to relocate and have the option of having more than one clinic convenient to your travel area, I would suggest looking at other options.

Worst place ever. Dr. Adeniji and Dr. Flagg are insensitive and dont listen to what you are telling them. Dr. Adeniji put the wrong diagnosis and the treatment she gave me made my condition worse. Also the staff that handles appointments is rude (Julio) The wait times at the clinic are bad (especially pediatric appointments) and appointments availability ( when you have a child with high fever and you just want to take them in to be seen by a doctor ) are impossible to get. Also phone waiting times are terrible (sometimes over an hour) and if you leave a message they just ask you to call back and the wait starts again. Never someone actually answers when you are calling a department (so if someone gave you a number to call you are not going to bypass the bureaucracy, you will just have to have patience and stay on the line waiting forever)
