I have had frequent visits to the ER & hospitalizations. There are some great nurses and a great Dr. However beware of Dr Shaw. The man caused my daughter permanent disfigurement of her right pinkie. He said it was bruised & put an ace bandage on it. It was broken at the growth plate where the tendon connects & it will always stick out from her other fingers. I went there with a Lupus flare up needing steroids. He did blood work & my TSH was high. I told him my ex had not been giving it to me for 9 months & I had only been back on it for 3 months. He COMMITTED me despite the on call psychiatrist, crisis & an employee from the unit saying no. I had a perforated colon. Dr Doan ordered a contrast enema on top of IV & drinking contrast. It went directly into my abdomen & I woke up with a colostomy. I was told by the visiting nurses to go to the ER by ambulance. I did & he said I didnt meet the criteria & despite the fact the ER was empty, They said they needed the bed & put me on a couch in the waiting area. If you have more than a splinter, stay away from this place

Apparently someone went to the hospital and didnt have the best experience or they talked to someone who didnt share the same narrow mindedness they have. Of course the hospital isnt the best around. Its in a rural (possibly underserved) area. Yeah some of the doctors have attitude, but in reality, they do a good job. It isnt the best place to go, but it certainly isnt by any means the worst! The person(s) complaining above have obviously not been to a third world country to see what types of hospitals they have there.

We took our 5 year old there for a fever of 105 degrees, after being at an ER the previous day for the same reason and just being sent home. The ER staff did every test they could to see what was going on. She was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection and admitted for 3 more days. The staff that took care of our little girl did an excellent job. We are very happy with the care she received, and very thankful she is getting better.

Took my daughter there for ER treatment. Fast, efficient, and maybe more importantly kind. I appreciated the care for her and the time they took with me explaining the treatment and tests. As we talked to staff we found that ER visits and hospital utilization is increasing so they are building a new emergency room to meet the need. A good solid rural hospital. The cafeteria food was good too!

Took my husband to the ER and was taken right in to be seen. Emergency Room is very nice and efficient. Nurses and staff were excellent and my husband was treated immediately. We live in the middle of two different hospitals one south and one north. I feel that we picked the right hospital. Excellent experience and excellent staff.

I would like to give them less than one star. Have a broken tooth and called there. They told me they had staff that could help and to come on in. 100 bucks later they spend 5 minutes with me. Send me home with naproxen and antibiotics. Thanks for wasting my time and money. Wouldnt go back if I was dying.

I was vacationing and ended up at the ER with a kidney stone. The wait time was less than 5 minutes and all the departments worked together like a well oiled machine. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was the best experience I could have had, given the circumstances.

Not the best around is an understatement............Had a 103 temp and couldnt keep a thing down went to the ER they couldnt figure out what the problem was so they sent me home with motrine..... 4 1/2 weeks later I got a letter in the mail stating I had tonsillitis.
