Well the reason I give it this low of a score is because not ALL of the nurses & CNAS were bad only a few. I fell on the floor in the bathroom and it took someone 15 minutes to respond to me and then I pressed my call button for pain medicine and a CNA came in after an hour an turned it off and never told the nurse (this was around 5 am) and then I pressed it again and then someone finally came in. I do believe these nurses and CNAS are there for a paycheck and not to help the patients at all. Everyone on rehab was amazing and awesome. Kudos to all the women and men who work in that department. Ms. Victoria and ms. April (she works 3rd shift ) they both are amazing and were my favorite of them all. I was discharged 2 days ago and forgot my cane there. I called the same day and made them aware and the nurse said she was going to put it up and lock it in the office. Went back 2 days later and its no where to be found at all. Honestly I dont know where they find these nurses at.

Only gave it a one because I had too. My mother was here for a short while in 2014. I would not put a dead rat there. The air conditioning went out on one of the hottest days of the summer (Saturday), and it was a day before someone came (they were in Richmond, VA). Why was there not a local backup that could have been called in? The staff would stand around talking while room assistance lights were coming on. After my mother called for assistance I stood in the doorway and after 20 minutes I finally asked for someone to come help. Many of the staff were standing around the nurses station talking. The food is awful - an egg salad sandwich did not even have a tablespoon of egg salad in it. The place was over run with ants. They were crawling on the patients in the beds, and when I put my mothers tray in the hall where they are collected, the unit was over run with ants. Horrible place!!!

My grandma was there for a few weeks. The nurses there are there for the money not to help patients. I understand its a rough job to handle but if you cannot perform your job then find another. My Nana was sitting in enough urine and feces for hours because the nurses felt it wasnt an issue. She cant walk by herself due to her stroke. They also kept moving her room phone and nurse call button out of her reach. Every damn time I came in there it was out of her reach. Like why? Also a few of her belongings went missing such as a beautiful necklace with a clock on it. The place is filthy, stagnant, unprofessional but mostly a lack of compassion and care. It takes a lot for me to get upset but these people sure know how to push my buttons. If you have a close friend or family going here I strongly advise you look elsewhere. Trust these reviews.

This place is a horror show. My mother in law was in a double room, the staff ignored her when she called at night. She had to lean on the button to get anyone to answer. Her roommate was a double amputee-- couldnt make it to the bathroom under her own power. When she called for help at night, she was asked "Well, how wet ARE you? Thats not wet enough! You can wait!" So she had to lay in a puddle of her own mess all night. Floors were slippery, my mother-in-laws companion slipped and fell and broke his hip! I was just disgusted with it and dont recommend it to anyone.

I could not even give it a star if I could get it to post. It is the most awful place it needs to be shut down really no one should have to live like this. This place is not a place for anything to stay in. God bless the people who are their that can not do anything. If you have family their and you love them do the right thing and check it out your self very careful you will find out for your self. I can tell you true stories that would make you sick about this place. But do not take my word check it out.

Nightmare. Nursing staff does not care. Just found a dirty wound bandage in with my family members clothes. The dressing is only changed by nursing staff who did not dispose if this hazardous, infectious dressing in ANY way close to acceptable. They routinely ignore physician orders. Have asked to speak to the supervisory nurse twice so far and no one has showed up in 20 minutes.

Would not recommend this facility for long term residents. They are just that, residents, not individual human beings. Very sad!
