Sunrise Dental is the second dental office I have visited in Yakima and I have no need to look any further. I have seen Dr. Wentz and her assistant Bertha several times now and always greeted with a smile from the moment I walk in the door. Wow! Bertha is very knowledgeable and worked perfectly in sync with Dr. Wentz - she knew exactly what the Dr. needed as if she could read her mind. My initial visit was for an emergent need and since then I have made Sunrise Dental my primary dental care office. Dr. Wentz displays exceptional bedside manner, knowledge, and expertise in a way that I have never experienced at any healthcare setting, let alone a dental visit. She is very energetic and personable! Prior to Dr. Wentz I have always feared going to the dentist because of bedside manner and lack of trust in the plan that my dentist had set up; it felt like it was always about the money even if not intended to be that way. At Sunrise Dental however, my dental plan was prioritized and explained to me in terminology I could understand and then finalized in a way that is affordable to me. Dr. Wentz always answers my questions and gives me detailed explanations of why my care plan was prioritized in the way that it was. The thing that goes to longest way for me and why I will continue to go to Sunrise Dental is trust. They found a way to combine healthcare, business, and patient care that, to me as both a patient and health care practitioner, is unparalleled. I have a high standard for patient care and developing a trustworthy relationship with your healthcare providers. Word of mouth goes a long with in healthcare so trust me - go to Sunrise Dental! Unfortunately with my busy schedule I have never really taken the time to write any reviews for even negative experiences, but this one for Dr. Wentz and Sunrise is well deserved. Dr. Wentz - thank you for your exceptional service and changing my view of going to the dentist! You have set the bar really high for patient experience.

Let me first start by saying I am am generally do not review anything or any service but in this case I just had to because I wanted everyone to know about the truly wonderful experience I had thursday (and also that had not gone to the dentist for 20 years). Even when I needed to to I did not go...because nope, dont think so. I chipped a tooth on Tuesday and unfortunately that made me have to go. I put a question out on facebook and got 2 referrals out of 6 to Sunrise Dental. To my surprise, I got a same day appointment, and (Laurie was wonderful in talking me down from the ledge :-)), when I called to make my appointment. I got a good family feeling as soon as I walked into the building, I was greeted warmly and did not feel judged at all for not having been to the dentist for a long time. Shayla initially took care of me and did a wonderful job, very nice and friendly and she treated me like I had been going there my whole life. Dr. Wentz came and was just as awesome, super friendly, non judgemental and also non pressuring about coming back for any general cleaning, etc appointments. She also made me laugh quite a bit. Both Shayla and Dr. Wentz were also great about explaining what they were doing and why without treating me like I was an idiot. I also liked the fact that while they were working on my fillings when Dr. Wentz explained to Shayla the processes and hows and whats of things, she was equally respectful and nice to Shayla. Unfortunately my appointment ended up running over the lunch hour, but I never got a negative feeling or heard a negative comment about having their lunch time cut short. Alex (and baby Alex) took over for Shayla while doing the filling process and what can I say - same thing both ways, respect, niceness and friendliness to everyone in the room. All in all I was very happy with my experience there and with all the staff and would very highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist, also I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I dont usually write online reviews, but I am compelled to do so in regard to Sunrise Dental in Yakima, WA. Everything I experienced from the moment I stepped in to the office, to the moment I stepped out, was extremely pleasurable. Amanda and Laurie were very knowledgeable and friendly at the front desk. They helped me with my insurance questions and assisted me with scheduling my next appointment. The assistant, Shayla, was cordial and sharp. She discussed how she wanted to continue her higher education in the field of dental hygiene to better serve patients. This made me feel that Sunrise Dental doesnt employ random people, but folks who are truly passionate and want to make a difference. I wish Shayla all the best in her future endeavor! Last but not least, Dr. Emilee Wentz, was my dentist. Do not let her young looks fool you. She is tier A clinician with excellent skills and bedside manners. Albert Einstein once said: "If you dont understand it well enough, you cant explain or do it simply enough". Dr. Wentzs command of dentistry is so deep, she makes everything she does seem simple. I think I found my long-term dentist! Excellent service, superb clinical work, and marvelous experience over-all. The only drawback, everybody who works there is a Seattle Seahawks fan. Laurie in the front office is wonderful and always has a smile on her face. She scheduled me for an emergency root canal and Renee was the dental assistant that day and the poor guy was so nice and understanding with me. Couldnt even item my mouth for the xrays. Dr Wentz walks in and had my blood pressure taken andthen they were able to give me the dreaded numbing shots. What a welcome relief and did such a great job! Im the biggest baby at the dentist but this group was perfect! Went in about a week later had the crown made, same day! Nice! This time I had the pleasure of having Greece as my dental assistant and sticking with Dr Wentz! These guys had me laughing, yes laughing at the dentist! It was their first day in the new offices and my crown was the first one in the new location. We named the crown Herman. All things considering, it was the best experience at the dentist Ive had, and trust me, Ive had some horrible times through the years. If your looking for a dentist that walks you through the procedure and a great and caring crew, check out Dr Wentz! Her and her crew have restored my faith in the dentist. As Greece would say, theyre poppin!

Sunrise Dental was the ONLY dentist office in Yakima that would answer their phone on a Saturday and let us come on for an emergency situation that day. I never got a return phone call from any other dentist office I tried calling that day. That is how we got introduced to sunrise dental. I will never switch to another dentist. They went above and beyond and so far out of their way to help my husband and take care of him in such a time sensitive situation. Dr. Elperin is a very knowledgeable dentist with such a good possitive personality which reflects in all the people that want to work there around him. Which is also why they have had to expand their business. Hes catching on to everyone. Thanks also goes to Belen and her work she does there making everyone feel very special. Never had a hand softening treatment or a back massage at any other dentist before!! From getting reasonable rates to helping you with your insurance or having a in house finance available, they make it happen. I highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you Sunrise Dental!!!
